25/11/2024: Lots of flavor and lots of Sicily in these traditional dishes made contemporary by the hand of a passionate young talented chef. Simple and welcoming environment, excellent dining staff. Wide and refined selection of local wines without being pretentious. An excellent choice for a refined but tasteful dinner.

01/01/2025: First time in this restaurant and being New Year's Eve lunch it was a very busy day but we were fully satisfied. Small but well-kept and welcoming place, very kind and helpful staff, excellent raw materials used and great attention to gluten and lactose intolerances, offering the entire menu in both gluten-free and lactose-free versions. All the dishes were tasty, plentiful and well presented from starters to desserts, prices absolutely in line with the offer and a more than honest mark-up on wines, highly recommended.

29/12/2024: A very heart-felt meal within the most local and authentic atmostphere for slow food. The menu ingredients vary according to the season. As we were sat down at the table they brought us a small glass of spritz and bread (as complimentary). We were 2 and shared the appertizer of mixed speck, cream cheese, lots of seasonal veggie, pear cuts and walnuts. Then each took a main dish, one ravioli with shrimp and one pasta with squid and tomato sauce, which means we left the restaurant with a full happy belly cuz the food was great. Definitely would come back again when I have the chance to. Please be mindful that like all other restaurants in Italy, there is a dine-in charge (coperto) per person. Thanks for the good food.

02/12/2024: We had the best food in Palermo in Ferro. This is a small little restaurant with excellent food options. The taste is very unique that we never tasted before. If you’re sick of the boring tourist food, this is a great place.

We ordered veal with radicchio and mushrooms (perfectly medium rare), some pasta, grilled octopus, fried cheese with anchovy cream, pasta stuffed with veal, pasta with ricotta, every dessert on the menu. I loved everything (we tasted each other’s food). The place is run by three brother, one of which is the chef and one works on the floor. The service was impeccable and so was the homemade bread. Did I mention that Sicilian cassata was awesome? I only took a photo of Sicilian cheesecake with strawberry sauce, because was too busy enjoying food.

06/01/2025: I've eaten pasta in many different countries, but this sardine pasta is the best in the world.It uses sardines, fennel, raisins, pine nuts, onions, tomato paste, and bread crumbs, and has an exquisite balance of flavors. And no matter what we ordered, it was very voluminous, and the three of us were all full. The owner was also polite and friendly, and it was a very good travel experience. thank you very much!

29/12/2024: We spontaneously came across this gem on our first evening in Palermo. 😍 Although the restaurant was fully booked, the courteous boss made it possible for my darling and I to get a seat.🙏 The food was excellent and the service was very friendly. 😋 We were personally bid farewell with a handshake by the senior partner. We were so excited that we immediately reserved for another evening 😇

03/01/2025: Ci è stato consigliato questa trattoria da nostro figlio, che ci era stato un anno fa. Non ci ha deluso! Un ambiente molto contemporaneo e proprietari gentilissimi, accoglienti e attenti... Cibo freschissimo, ben presentato e gustoso. Abbiamo mangiato: Polpette di zucca, panelle, fritelle di cardi, linguine alla marinara, merluzzo lesso con biete, fritto di calamari e dolcis in fondo; semifreddo di mandorle con salsa di cioccolato. l tutto veramente eccellente. Ci ritorneremo quanto prima.

27/12/2024: Refined place and tasty pizzas. We arrived a little late and I had the impression that they were done a little quickly, not as well as I think they normally do them. The prices are a little high but the service is great and the waiters were friendly.

28/12/2024: Abbiamo trascorso una splendida serata in famiglia, allietati da un servizio spettacolare (simpatia e professionalità fuori dal comune) in un’autentica trattoria dove è possibile gustare i piatti della tradizione di questa parte di Sicilia. Chi critica l’assenza del menu scritto, i tovaglioli di carta e l’impiattamento casereccio, dimostra di non sapere neanche dove si trova, ossia una trattoria fondata nel 1943 che, in un mondo omologato, conserva la propria autenticità. Carne o pesce non cambia. Tutto squisito, ma non mi farei scappare le sarde a beccafico e la caponata.

03/01/2025: New Year's Eve dinner. The raw materials were good, unfortunately the dishes were rather disappointing. Also, prices too high compared to other restaurants where the menu was much more elaborate. Given the photos of the dishes on Google Maps, expectations were decidedly higher. Wine accompaniment added, the glass paired with the second course never arrived. A great sadness.

14/11/2024: The restaurant is very nice. We were on a Monday and unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the specialties, but we got a short menu with 5 dishes. Each portion was very small, cold portions and not particularly tasty. An account scribbled on a piece of paper and without logic.

11/11/2024: Makaron z pesto pistacjowo- bazyliowym i krewetkami. Danie w całości było po prostu niedobre, makaron jak kluski, sos bez smaku bazylii i pistacji, a krewetki miałam 3. Wszytskie były dziwne w konsystencji. Miękkie maziowate. Obawiam się że danie było w całości mrożone. Coś takiego serwować we Włoszech to wstyd.
