Food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The only downside is that the set menu is lacking the wow factor - the dishes are nothing unique. But, for the price it was good. Thank you

11/02/2026: My boyfriend and I went to Sapori Perduti and had a truly wonderful time. We started with the tuna trio: delicious and super fresh. I loved the contrast between the different preparations, especially the caramelized onion part. You could really taste the quality of the fish, and the tartare was the ultimate proof. For our first course, we had the pecorino gnocchi, perfectly creamy and incredibly flavorful without being heavy. I loved the contrast with the raspberry. For our second course, the Cappello del prete, incredibly tender and with a truly delicious sauce that really enhanced it. Perfectly cooked. The staff was super friendly and attentive; we felt welcomed from start to finish. A very positive experience, pleasant atmosphere, and carefully prepared dishes. A niche restaurant in the heart of Palermo; we'll definitely be back.

17/02/2026: The atmosphere is very formal, more like a restaurant than a trattoria, as is the €3 per person cover charge. The menu, however, is typically trattoria-style, simple and limited, a sign of the focus on raw ingredients. We ordered a hot appetizer with the addition of cardoons, artichokes, and sage, a first course from the menu, reginette with anchovies, and two off-menu first courses, spaghetti with red mullet and fennel, and busiate with macco and shrimp. The fried pasta was delicious, dry and crispy, and the first course with anchovies was good, but unfortunately the other two were disappointing. The busiate were topped with macco, to which five raw shrimp were added, nothing more. The result is that you eat pasta with macco and every now and then a bite with a shrimp added. The macco was missing the kick that would capture the flavor of the shrimp. The same thing happened with the spaghetti with red mullet, which lacked the unmistakable flavor of this fish that you'd expect when ordering a red mullet dish. The wine selection by the glass was excellent. It's a shame, because the many positive reviews suggest a different kind of experience.

10/01/2026: It was our first experience like this. Excellent service. We tried both tasting menus, one vegetarian and the other with meat and fish. The dishes were well explained, beautifully presented, and the flavors were truly wonderful and balanced, revealing the dedication and care put into the dishes. We also tried the wine pairings recommended by the sommelier, who introduced us to small, refined wineries. We were amazed and astonished.

11/03/2026: Good traditional food, a mix of Sicilian and coastal. Supreme scialatielli and surprising arancini. Good wines by the glass. I'll be back!

09/03/2026: While searching for a good pasta with sardines, Palermo-style, we found a delicious one! The sardine meatballs were fantastic! The baked anelletti were good, although they lacked a bit of firmness and crunchiness. The service was top-notch, except for one of them with a few shortcomings (not serving the woman first or not clearing away used dishes). The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing, with the right background music. Highly recommended!!! It's a shame to leave Palermo. I'll miss it.

18/01/2026: As an Australian who has recently relocated to the area, finding Trattoria Don Ciccio has been a real gift. I’ve eaten here regularly, and every single visit delivers the same result: a perfect meal and genuinely warm, attentive service. The menu is simple, but that’s exactly where the magic lies — everything is done exceptionally well, with a level of consistency that’s honestly rare. The involtini are without doubt the best in the Palermo area — perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and exactly how they should be. My advice: stick with the traditional Sicilian house wine. It pairs beautifully with the food and completes the experience. And the tiramisu? Absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best I’ve ever had and the perfect way to end the meal. Food and service: 100 out of 10. A true local gem that never disappoints.
