30/06/2025: A Trattoria with a capital "T" but above all a Martina with a super capital "M". Martina welcomed us with the warmth and simplicity of a true Roman DOCG😁, she was professional and attentive to all our needs and made us feel at home. Excellent excellent excellent food, simple and satisfying wine list. Obviously we will return and bring people because you deserve it. Congratulations 👏

29/06/2025: We came on the advice of a friend, and believe us we were amazed. A true Roman girl welcomes us, Martina, with a disarming kindness and humility. Few words, here you eat real Roman dishes. Very honest prices, abundant quantities. Highly recommended

19/06/2025: Really enjoyed the food and experience. It feels like you're eating in a friend's kitchen and the staff all feels like family. My one complaint was I wanted more wines by the glass options to go with some great food but overall, would recommend this place to locals and visitors alike.

16/06/2025: The menu here is Roman, but lighter and more innovative. The service takes a long time, but it’s a nice atmosphere and a good departure from the typical Roman restaurants. It’s a nice ambience and upscale.

21/05/2025: Mi sono recato in questo ristorante nel centro di Frascati una domenica a pranzo nonostante le recensioni non proprio positive. Invece, è stata una piacevolissima sorpresa, personale cordiale e professionale, servizio ottimo anche come tempi, cibo di qualità, dall’antipasto, ai primi, fino ai secondi, il tutto con un locale strapieno. Consigliatissimo!!!

23/06/2025: I was a little hesitant about their rating, but I arrived and was surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered Roman and Jewish artichokes. The former was steamed and the latter fried. Truly delicious. It's one per person... Then I went for spaghetti (a slightly thicker spaghetti) with artichokes. Truly perfect and with a very original flavor. From there I moved on to dessert, a fresh and delicious panna cotta. The house wine was good. It's a good choice. I recommend it.

12/05/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in questa Osteria in occasione di una visita nella città di Rieti cucina come fossimo a casa degustato una bruschetta con lardo e miele , tagliolini alla carbonara , maltagliati alla velletrana , tagliolini con fave guanciale e pecorino , secondi piatti invece polpette al sugo , trippa alla romana e parmigiana di melanzane naturalmente non poteva mancare il dolce crostata con marmellata e mousse di ricotta con noci e rum i piatti erano tutti molto buoni il prezzo più che onesto il servizio veloce e professionale .

08/05/2025: Dopo una attenta ricerca con TripAdvisor decidiamo di fare una tappa a Rieti per pranzare e puntiamo forte su questo locale . A volte la tradizione ed il buon nome lascia a desiderare ma nel caso di specie viene gelosamente tramandata ai posteri . La struttura è caratteristica e ben accogliente ( una tipica osteria del luogo ) il personale disponibile e gentile pronta ad accompagnarti in questo viaggio culinario...iniziamo dalle pietanze : la parmigiana ( con il bis ) squisita , il galletto alla diavola con antipasto da asparagi da provare sempre ma la differenza è stata fatta dalle polpette veramente eccellenti ... Prezzo rapportato al gusto , (se vuoi mangiare bene devi spendere ) decisamente un esperienza positiva

14/06/2025: Truly an experience not to be repeated: we returned to Sora Lella after five years. When we reached the table the waiter told us something new: either we took the menus, priced at almost one hundred euros per person, or we would have to order two courses per person: so we found ourselves forced to eat what we didn't want. We had booked online after being told that there was no other way to reserve a table (among other things I had to pledge my credit card with the sum of €70 for this reservation) and then, instead, I saw that people showed up without a reservation or called by phone and obtained the reservation without the card. Even though we had booked, we found ourselves seated at a table in the entrance hall of the restaurant, with the entrance door wide open and air conditioning that didn't work with over 30 degrees inside. When we protested they responded with impudence that unfortunately it was the fault of the too hot season. In the end we suffered a sauna at the table and spent almost 100 euros for two first courses, two appetizers and a water. Be careful if you ask for bread because they charge €5 and then add the service charge of 10%, in a region where the Regional Law 21/2006 prohibits asking for money for bread. Truly an experience not to be repeated, like many Roman places this restaurant lives only on the income from its reputation and is absolutely not up to its reputation, judging from the experience I had. I will be careful not to return.

The carbonara spaghetti was incredibly delicious—rich, creamy, and full of authentic Roman flavor. The chicken Milanese was perfectly crisp and tender, easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The service was great—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared, and you could truly taste the quality in every bite. If you’re looking for a memorable meal in Rome, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

20/05/2025: I stopped at this restaurant on the advice of a friend, I couldn't have made a better choice, I ate a spectacular Florentine steak!!! Soft to melt in the mouth, there were two of us, we also tried the fried artichokes... delicious! I returned after a week to try the first courses and I couldn't help but try the carbonara, I cleaned the plate😜. Excellent place, very large with the possibility of eating on the veranda. When I'm in the area I will definitely go back, I had a good time and the staff was very kind. Congratulations!

As soon as you enter, you are welcomed into a warm and familiar environment, where the atmosphere is truly pleasant and relaxed. A touch of class that cannot go unnoticed is the selection of wines: a rich and well-kept cellar, perfect to accompany each dish. There are also very interesting natural wines, such as the red we tasted from Castelli Romani! The menu of the day offers a variety of fresh and well-balanced dishes, with particular attention to vegetables that are very fresh and expertly combined. The house specialties, such as the Amatriciana, are absolutely unmissable. The pasta is al dente and the sauce, rich and tasty, blends perfectly with the smoked bacon, creating an impeccable combination. No less important is the Carbonara, prepared according to tradition: creamy without being heavy, with a rich and enveloping flavor that leaves the palate satisfied. Another plus is the possibility of eating outside: the outdoor area, where we were seated, is perfect, thanks to the breeze that makes the experience even more pleasant. It is an ideal corner to enjoy a quiet lunch or dinner, perhaps accompanied by a good glass of wine from their excellent cellar. Ultimately, Trattoria Cestia is a place that we recommend to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the authentic flavors of Rome, in a welcoming environment and with attentive service. 14/02/2025: Trattoria tipica, gestita da molti anni dalla stessa famiglia, dove trovate tutti i piatti romani della tradizione: amatriciana, carbonara, cacio e pepe (tutti ottimi e abbondanti), così come baccalà con patate (il venerdì), trippa (dovrebbe essere di sabato, ma sono chiusi, per cui la trovate il venerdì), e molti altri, tra cui carni di vario taglio alla piastra. Ottime le verdure ripassate in padella, dolci classici. Molto frequentata da lavoratori della zona o di passaggio, e da clienti affezionati che conoscono il posto (periferia sud di Roma, zona Magliana). Fermatevi a chiacchierare con il proprietario, nipote della vera signora Tedesca che ha dato il nome alla trattoria: memoria storica del posto, è una fonte inesauribile di aneddoti riguardanti la sua famiglia Italo-tedesca, nonché collezionista delle molte anticaglie che riempiono il locale. Prezzi più che onesti, data la qualità delle portate.
