08/08/2025: The location is truly beautiful. The places to eat or have an aperitif are truly overpriced. With an aperitif, you don't even need two chips or peanuts.

07/07/2025: I expected more stalls with books and interesting things, instead I only found the usual things to eat that you eat in the common pubs, and stalls with objects that you can buy for much less in the markets.... Then walking along the Tiber an unpleasant smell of sewers. Disappointing...not to mention the buses that skip trips and the metro with rude people, sleepers on the seats occupying 4 or five, homeless people, and at the stops no type of control by the armed forces. Practically anything can happen and no one sees anything.

24/10/2025: A typical osteria, located next to other similar osterias in Ariccia. A rustic atmosphere with a small indoor dining room and outdoor tables under a canopy. Next to the kitchen is a counter with cold cuts and a selection of appetizers. The traditional carbonara is excellent. The service is friendly and attentive. Great value!

11/04/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale per il compleanno di mio nipote. Ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il cibo è ottimo e abbondante. Il personale è accogliente e verace e ci ha fatto sentire subito a casa. E' un locale semplice, ma si respira la genuinità dei proprietari e del loro cibo. Non bisogna essere sofisticati e non bisogna avere fretta. Se avete questi requisiti vi godrete un ottimo pasto, e due piacevoli chiacchiere con il proprietario.

Kudos also for the attention to detail and the service, always fast and friendly. Prices in line with the quality. 5 well-deserved stars for the Shrimp Ralph! 🤩

05/12/2025: An inconspicuous place with delicious home food. Mind you, the menu is short, but the pasta is worth it. It might not be flashy, but the staff is absolutely amazing and the tiramisu is one of the best I have ever eaten. Don’t be shy to ask for the chef’s recommendation. Today I had gnocchi with butter and salvia and yesterday fettuccine with perfectly done artichokes. The prices are good, especially if you eat here almost every day of the week.

We had our extremely quiet, medium-sized dog with us, and there was no sign indicating that dogs weren't allowed. I politely asked the waitress if it would be a problem to have my dog ​​with us. She said kindly, "No problem." The owner then came over, without a greeting. Not a single kind word, and arrogantly pointed to a table at the very back in front of a cold, cramped space, even though the restaurant was almost empty. The table was so small that you couldn't sit at it comfortably, and it was cold there. Sorry, but you don't have to put up with that. My wife has lived in Olgiata for 50 years, and we've never had a bad experience at restaurants in the area. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. We will never go there again. An extremely poor host, very sad. That he doesn't understand how to treat guests.

29/11/2025: I have been living in Rome for 3 years and this is my worst ever experience so far. I don’t even know where to start. From the people working there that speak to you like you are not their client but their enemy or the intimidating old man that none of the people working at the restaurant did anything about? The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have asked advice from a waiter about what I should order and he recommended me a pasta dish. When it came there was absolutely no taste in the sauce, it felt like it was store bought and the past was clearly UNDERCOOKED not al dente at all because it was sticking to the teeth. I have returned the full dish being barely touched to another waiter saying it is not good and asked for a substitute. The second pasta was better but still nothing special considering how many amazing restaurants there are in Rome. When we have gone to the cashier to pay they had given us the bill with both pasta’s in it. The waiter was extremely rude to tell me that it is my fault that I didn’t like the pasta and that “they have thrown it away so they have spent money on it” and on my concern that the pasta was not well made he said that “so if you didn’t like it maybe you won’t come here again”. It is really not about the money that I have paid for that extra dish but about the client service that is non existent in that restaurant and moreover the unprofessional behaviour of the staff arguing with me that it is all my fault, which I have never seen in any other restaurant not only in Rome but anywhere in the world and I have traveled a lot. Anyone who thinks of going here for a pretty vibe, really don’t bother as there are so many other places where people actually value their clients and they quality of their food and would never do such thing as they want to make a good impression of themselves and get clients to come back. Adding to this experience there was an old guy that was trying to talk to ask non stop for the whole night, who then sat down at our table while we were eating which made me extremely uncomfortable and of course the staff didn’t even apologise or do something about it. Overall this man made the experience even worse as we came there to talk with a friend for dinner, not to feel intimidated by a creepy guy. The restaurant did know the man and they were absolutely fine with him making us feel uncomfortable

15/11/2025: There's much better in Rome. The staff is courteous and attentive to the customer's needs. But the food isn't up to par: the gricia tastes only of salt, the lamb isn't memorable, and the dessert is too cloying. I won't be returning.

You enter and the atmosphere is nice, the waitress is very kind and fast, I'd say the best thing about the restaurant. The smell of fried food pervades the place. When you leave, you have to take a shower and change your clothes. The food: The tripe is good, The blackened meats are cold....the seasoning is nonexistent. The important thing is the freshness of the products. These have been in the refrigerator too long. The frying oil, if you're aiming for chips, should be changed more often and the quality improved. The mutton skewers and baked potatoes are good. The coffee is good. A dive...in name and in fact.

30/11/2025: We ordered a cured meats appetizer consisting of prosciutto, mortadella, salami, spicy salami, and three pieces of cheese—nothing to write home about. Then we ordered three first courses: pappardelle with ragù, one half-sleeve carbonara, and one amatriciana—very good and plentiful. For the second course, a mixed grill, not worth the price: one sausage, a bunch of sliced ​​pork, and four arrosticini. Good fries were served on the side. To finish, three desserts: one warm chocolate tart, a crème brulee, and a very good profiterole. Welcoming atmosphere. Good service.
