20/09/2025: I ordered tiramisu and Aperol. It tasted exactly like in Germany. Now I don't know if the Germans can make it as well as the Italians, or if the Italians were as bad as the Germans.

10/09/2025: It was a pleasant surprise. A 60-year-old restaurant that maintains a simple, classic decor and doesn't leap to pretension. I appreciated the fact that it didn't try to be a clone of so many others. It focuses on good food, and I loved that. The appetizers, like the reinterpretation of the '80s scampi cocktail, were delicious and varied. The breast baked in the oven melted in your mouth and was exquisite, as was the fillet Wellington. The courteous waiter and delightful owner did the rest. It was a wonderful evening with friends.

13/07/2025: First course: linguine allo scoglio, very well made and delicious. The appetizer was good, but I had a small complaint about the octopus and potato salad (too much celery and not enough octopus and potatoes). The service was excellent, with very friendly waiters, especially the owner's son, who offered us a delicious shortino (a pasta dish made with licorice and herbs) (not at all heavy or light). The atmosphere was great.

12/07/2025: Excellent traditional Roman dishes. A welcoming, family atmosphere! Fast, friendly staff! I recommend it for an evening of good food and good company.

08/08/2025: A wonderful experience having lunch here. I was able to enjoy delicious pasta outside, while taking in the tranquility of a beautiful neighborhood like San Lorenzo. Excellent service and prices.

04/08/2025: A vintage restaurant tucked away in the heart of San Lorenzo. Excellent value. The staff is friendly and courteous. Highly recommended: the house specialty, a mix of vegetables, sausage, and wood-fired cheese... simple and delicious!

17/10/2025: We dined here for the first time, intrigued by the positive reviews on Alessandro Borghese's show. We weren't expecting such a disaster. The owner was evasive and inattentive, so I'll stop there. The place is very dirty, very noisy, and the location is unclear. Seating is very cramped. The food leaves much to be desired. The Roman-style artichoke was woody, the pizza and bruschetta were smoked and very burnt. The fish entrees were a little better. Not to mention the barking of dogs in the dining room, and I'm an animal lover. I don't think we'll be back, what a shame!

15/10/2025: Maybe because there were 40 of us, but it was the worst gricia I've ever eaten. Most likely with pre-cooked pasta. To forget.

16/10/2025: I got a takeout pizza, Margherita di Puglia and a zucchini flower. Both were good.

13/10/2025: We stopped here for wine and dessert one evening in early August and had the best tiramisu I have ever had in my life. Don't miss it!

28/09/2025: The waiter with the glasses was super nice! The service was heartfelt. The food was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The lovely waiter recommended the wine, and it was a hit! We visit here every time we're in Rome.

15/09/2025: Everything is good, I'm someone who eats here every single day... the pasta is made properly and the meat, what the hell...

18/10/2025: It was raining that day and I couldn't get a taxi. I finally walked to the restaurant, but the waiter wouldn't let me sit down and insisted everyone should be seated first. He also said that wearing shorts was not in line with the restaurant's rules. The food and wine were not cheap, even though it was a Michelin-recommended restaurant.

14/10/2025: Delicious food but a bit strict on reservations The food at La Ciambella was excellent, with portions even bigger than expected. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The reservation process, however, was quite complicated and almost made us cancel. There were many checkboxes to confirm, especially about kids and the tasting menu rules. We did not feel completely comfortable at first with our two kids, even though we had a separate table. Once we ordered a bottle of wine, the atmosphere relaxed a bit. We understand that a family of four is not as profitable as a table of adults, but still, a bit more warmth would have made a big difference. Overall, the food was very, very good and worth trying.

13/10/2025: Decent restaurant with good menu choices. Pasta carbonara was excellent however the fish was very dry and overcooked. Would have expected to be perfect cooked for the prices. Drinks excellent

12/10/2025: The prices are high... but the quality of the food is worth it! The fish is incredibly fresh and prepared in an original way (sole meunière with excellent citrus-infused butter!). Excellent tartare. Delicious burrata and anchovies, and very fresh seasonal vegetables. Patient with children. Very attentive table service (seasoned and deboned there), and restroom service with an attendant always present to keep everything spotless!! Highly appreciated. If you can afford it... it's worth it. €270 for 4, with one child who ate a simple pasta dish. Adults each had an appetizer and one main course. No desserts. 3 glasses of prosecco.

03/10/2025: Too bad it's closed on Wednesdays. I stopped by this week.

14/09/2025: The food was bad and the prices were too high for a trattoria (€14 for a plate of gnocchi). The wait for food was two hours. To justify the delay, the owner blamed the waitress Roberta, who obviously couldn't handle all the tables, both inside and outside, on her own. To apologize, the owner offered a mere discount of less than 10%. Terrible experience!

10/10/2025: Always good and nice as a place over the years. You eat well. Too bad that over time they have not improved three defects that are important to me: 1. very noisy 2. difficulty in booking. They never answer the phone and finally when they answer there is no more room 3. There are 3 parking lots nearby but no agreement has ever been made

18/10/2025: We didn't feel like eating at this restaurant. The service was ok. We didn't wait long. We were free around so we tried it. I wish you many satisfied guests

16/10/2025: I loved this place! The pizza was soooo good and fresh. I wasn't expecting that level of quality in such a busy, touristic area. The staff is very kind, attentive, respectful and professional. Basically tasty food, cozy atmosphere ans friendly service. I feel very comfortable recommending this place.

02/10/2025: A rich menu, decent service, good dishes, but a lot of mistakes... the red wine was served ice-cold and cheap (full of sulfur), a little bone in the porchetta almost made me lose a tooth, and then I'll tell you this... during payment I joked, "Was there pancetta or guanciale in the amatriciana? Because there was no trace of either." The funny thing is that the owner was so focused on the word pancetta that she didn't hear the second part of the sentence, and continued to ignore it, thinking I'd provoked her. Now maybe she has time to read it here: THE AMATRICIANA WAS PASTA WITH TOMATOES. YOU HAVE TO THROW A DOZEN STRIPS OF BACON
