The service, atmosphere, food, and wine leave the best impression. These are the kind of restaurants I love in Italy.

The restaurant remained suspended between 1990 and 2000, in terms of menu, location, and service. The cuisine was simple but uninspiring. We ordered mixed appetizers (good) and first courses (neither exceptional nor exceptional). Service was at times pushy, almost intrusive, and at times unfriendly.

This restaurant, just steps from the Vatican, was chosen for a colleague's retirement dinner. This osteria's distinctive features are its rooms painted in cardinal red and decorated with portraits of the pontiffs hanging on the walls, creating a perfect connection with the area. The culinary offerings satisfied the entire group. We began with rich and delicious appetizers, perfect for a convivial start to the evening. Next, pizza, which turned out to be delicious, with a thin and crispy crust, typical of Roman cuisine. Special praise goes to the friendly and highly experienced wait staff. They managed the table with great professionalism, maintaining perfect service times without ever rushing us, allowing us to celebrate our colleague in the best possible way.

The food is good, just like home. Fair prices and an atmosphere I've come to consider my own. I go there at least twice a week. The pizzas are excellent, as are the Roman pasta dishes, and the tiramisu is out of this world. I particularly appreciated the fact that the French fries are fresh, not frozen. The owners are two people who take great care of their guests. Due to its location, it could be mistaken for a tourist restaurant, but it's a historic establishment that's been family-run for generations.

First night in Rome, unknown to Roman Cuisine culture, received the best dining experience I ever got. It was a really good dining experience, tastes very heavenly good and beats everything I am used back in my home country Germany which was already good there. Many thanks for the unique dining experience and the owner is an awesome and very Kind man! I won't forget the unique first experience in an Osteria.
