19/10/2025: This is a very special review for me to write, as this restaurant has been a part of my life since the age of 5, and I'm now 32! I came here every year during childhood visits to Rome to visit my great uncle. This was the restaurant where I had swordfish (spada) for the first time, and spaghetti vongole (pasta with clams). This was my first visit to the restaurant as an adult and I brought my partner who loved it just as much as I always have. Nothing has changed - in the best way!!! This is a real family restaurant where tradition, care and quality are apparent in everything from the excellent food to the warm, attentive service. The swordfish is exactly as delicious as I remember it being as a child, as is the spaghetti vongole and I promise, they really do have the best tiramisu in Rome. The wine list is excellent, too, and the montepulciano we chose paired perfectly with our food choices. I'm already excited to visit again next year when we come to Rome again!

10/12/2025: Ended up here for dinner after our original restaurant was closed and our experience was everything we could have wanted!! As vegetarians, we had so many options (I recommend the soups, veggie sides, and cacio e pepe). The service was incredible and the vibes were cozy and authentic. It felt like we were eating in a beautiful Italian basement. Definitely will be recommending this place to others!!

05/11/2025: An appetizer for two for €18 with vacuum-packed cured meats and mini bruschetta with stale, untoasted bread seems absurd to me. However, I buy the exact same fettuccine they serve at the Cecafumo market in Quadraro. Try it and believe it! The fettuccine are completely unrelated to the sauce. Amatriciana is made with burnt pork cheek, and the white ragù is terrible. In my opinion, they cook the fettuccine, put it on a plate, pour the sauce on top, and bring it to the table. The place is simply old, not vintage. Not worth it in my opinion.

02/11/2025: A small and welcoming place, the specialty is fettuccine, homemade, hand-cut, and delicious. The sauces are traditional Roman. The menu features a limited selection, but they're well-made, as they should be. I'll definitely be back.

19/10/2025: We've been to this restaurant several times (12 times to be exact) because we had a training course nearby. We liked it more and more each time, and we didn't want to finish the course because it won't be easy to eat here again. The pasta, however you eat it, is fabulous. All mouth-watering Roman cuisine at super reasonable prices.

18/10/2025: Highly recommended restaurant! We spent four weekends in the area for courses and ate here every day. We tried many different dishes and were always satisfied—the best of Roman cuisine. Fantastic staff, we can't wait to go back!

01/12/2025: We ate delicious Roman cuisine at this restaurant. We shared appetizers: supplì, fried artichoke, and stuffed zucchini flowers. For our first course, I had a delicious carbonara! Everything was excellent, great prices, and the staff was friendly and courteous! I recommend trying it to savor the local cuisine.

08/12/2025: We dined on Sunday the 7th for dinner and on Monday, December 8th for lunch. The carbonara and gricia were delicious. The chicory meatballs on a pumpkin puree were a delight. The same goes for the pizza, the supplì, and the focaccia with prosciutto. The staff was extremely courteous and welcoming, despite the extremely busy days. The atmosphere was comfortable and not like a mass-tourism affair. The owner is refined, affable, and smiling, but not intrusive. We'll be back and highly recommend it.

07/12/2025: Excellent food, friendly service, and a short wait for the food, a bit longer for the table, but it was worth it. Recommended.

01/12/2025: I went here for lunch with friends and we immediately knew it was a good place to go because we had to book three days in advance. The three-day wait was worth it. The dishes were all delicious and captured that Roman essence that's slowly disappearing. The wait staff was extremely kind and always ready to suggest dining options. The prices were fair and probably lower than many of the trattorias we visited. Da Emilio is an experience not to be missed if you're in Rome as a tourist like me, because for them, you're not a tourist but a guest.

01/12/2025: Food was very good, but service was bad. We were asked by 3 different waiters which water we want, we said sparking 3 times & they bring still water. Not very welcoming staff overall, maybe because we didn’t speak Italian.

29/11/2025: Restaurant for locals. We ordered the pasta carbonara and it was delicious. The tiramisu was good, but we've had better. With our mix of Spanish, Italian, and English, the waiter served us very well.

09/11/2025: In a quiet area yet close to Termini Station, this restaurant is small and simple, yet welcoming. The menu focuses on meat dishes, including some of the most traditional and unmissable recipes. The Roman-style artichokes are incredibly tender and flavorful. The wine list is adequate, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Prices are average, not particularly affordable.

23/11/2025: Everything was very good. The atmosphere was typical of Rome's Testaccio area. The service and prices were average. The seating was narrow and cramped, as were the tables, which were all packed together.

03/11/2025: A very quaint, family-run restaurant with Roman food that tastes homemade. The waiters are incredibly attentive and kind; they replaced my dish without hesitation when I mentioned something about it, and even made several attempts to speak in Spanish or English to communicate with my parents, who don't speak Italian. I will definitely be back very soon, eager to try more of their delicious menu. Simply magnificent!

28/10/2025: I’m very satisfied — the pasta was tasty and carefully made with attention to detail. I also tried a new way to count calories — the service shown in the photo. It turned out to be incredibly simple and useful! Highly recommend it to anyone tracking their diet.
