12/03/2026: The atmosphere is that of a Roman trattoria: quaint but a little shabby (a bit messy). Generous portions and quality food: slightly pricey for the location, but good value for the quality of the food served. The service (a little slow in our case) is managed primarily by the owner (I believe), who interacts a lot with the diners. This is also very quaint, but I realize some might not like it. I appreciated that they also served pizza at lunch. I would definitely return.

10/02/2026: I had dinner on Friday with my colleagues. Excellent experience: - 1. I called at 9:00 PM to ask for immediate table availability. Valentina, who answered the phone, managed to arrange a table for us despite the short notice and the already full room. - 2. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by Valentina and the owner and sat down. - 3. We asked for a red wine, and they suggested a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, which was truly excellent. In fact, we ordered another. - 4. Our courses began with an appetizer of mixed fried fish, which passed the Test perfectly (the supplì were especially excellent). Then I ordered an amatriciana, which was very good, and my colleagues ordered cacio e pepe and a gricia, both excellent! - 5. The restaurant is small but well-organized, and I recommend it for dinner with colleagues or friends, or for a date. Hats off to Valentina for her personality and attentive service.

11/03/2026: The food is marvellous! The pasta is fresh handmade by his mother. The Romana artichoke is a must! Seafood pasta is 5 stars. Prices are reasonable. Will come back for sure.

07/03/2026: We happened to pass by the alleyway in San Lorenzo where the Pesce fritto e Baccalà restaurant is located, captivated by the lights that adorn the entire narrow street. The name seemed like an invitation to dinner, and luckily, the owners' son welcomed us right away. The dinner was excellent, to say the least: fresh pasta homemade by the matriarch, fried cod with a very light, dry breading and a perfect, pale color, and delicious puntarelle (we certainly couldn't miss them in Rome). Very satisfying. The kindness, customer service, and excellent products truly put it at the top.

31/03/2026: The appetizers are good, especially the parmigiana. The cod is a great main course! The place is a bit noisy and not particularly cheap.

27/03/2026: We arrived at 7:00 PM sharp, without a reservation, just the two of us. We were told we could either be seated at a table with other people or outside. So I asked if we could light the fire pit outside, to which I was told yes, of course. We ended up waiting 10 minutes in the cold and had to insist on getting the heat turned on. Then the first course was served, which was decent enough. We then waited another 30 minutes without anyone clearing the table or even glancing outside. Two other couples arrived in the meantime and weren't even given menus. We were clearly relegated to the status of second-class customers; they weren't interested in us. Finally, after waiting an hour (the restaurant wasn't even full), we left without dessert. If you can't take care of walk-in customers, you shouldn't accept them. The service was appalling, and the quality of the food wasn't good enough to compensate.

06/03/2026: Amazing accidental discovery! Stopped in for a dinner. The food was top-notch and the service was some of the best we’ve had in Rome. Highly recommend for an authentic meal.

18/03/2026: An incredible first taste of local cuisine. Some of the best pasta carbonara I've ever had, with homemade pasta, no cream, and delicious bacon. They also had a very good cheesecake. I ate my fill for 20 euros. Not bad at all.

02/04/2026: I used to come here many years ago, when the owner would welcome you in a white T-shirt and chef's trousers. His traditional Roman dishes conveyed the flavour of his hard work and dedication to satisfying all the customers who wanted to eat in a truly small restaurant. Now, his daughter and husband continue to run this wonderful little restaurant, steeped in tradition, with the unmistakable aroma of Roman cuisine wafting from the small kitchen. My dad would be incredibly proud of you. Good luck, and thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality.

01/04/2026: A true trattoria without compromise. Excellent for those who love Roman cuisine. Outdoor dining is available in warm weather. Warning: huge portions. The liver with onions and giblets is spectacular. Amatriciana is top-notch! Reservations are recommended, as there are limited seating. Reasonable prices

18/03/2026: Looking for a place to eat in Trastevere, we casually popped in to ask if they had room for four, as everything was packed. Francesca was very helpful and, after a 10-minute wait, was able to seat us. We had a delicious dinner for €18 per person, and the service was impeccable, so the experience was very positive, and the place has its charm.

28/02/2026: This is the place for true Roman cuisine, welcoming, warm, and wonderfully simple, like grandma's cooking. I was there yesterday and tried everything from appetizers to dessert. I must say that every course was perfect. The service is courteous and very attentive. The staff make you feel at ease. When they explain the dishes, their passion for what they do shines through.
