04/06/2025: Adiacente al ben più blasonato "al pescatore" è una trattoria di cucina romana e pesce. Naturalmente essendo al mare non ho ordinato carbonara o affini ma un'ottima zuppetta di ceci e moscardini (da ola) e degli spaghetti i alle telline......stai a Ostia che fai non le ordini? Entrambe i piatti soddisfacenti e di buona fattura, se poi ci uniamo la cortesia, la professionalità e la competenza del personale ecco fatte le 5 palle

19/05/2025: Tutto fumo Ci vorrebbe un po' più di umiltà e gentilezza con i clienti e forse i clienti potrebbero anche sorvolare su le pecche del servizio Deludente servizio e proprietari e direttore assolutamente non cordiali. Cibo normale casalingo forse un po' salato la pasta Penso che siano un po' troppo convinti L unica persona gentile era una signora forse la figlia della propietaria .

07/06/2025: After being recommended by another family at our hotel pool, we checked this place out. We are so glad that we did! The food was amazing and the service was great. We enjoyed their Bruschetta, Carbonara, and Caccio e Pepe. For those wanting a but but rustic tradition, try their appetizer trio of tripe, pork rind, and lamb innards. Also, don't skip their Prosciutto (ham) and dessert. Finally, besides the food... The staff was so kind and attentive. That's a rarity in a large European city. Highly recommend you don't miss this gem!

23/04/2025: We ate here on Easter Sunday and although it is always a risk to eat out on holidays, we had a great time. Everything on the proposed menu is very good, no long waits and above all spacious tables. How much we paid compared to what and how we ate was honest, good value for money. We will definitely return.

05/05/2025: We go to Gildo more and more often precisely to feel in a serene and familiar atmosphere, certain of eating what we like and without doubts about their goodness, and then we have a remarkable choice of dishes. No small feat is the Roman-style pizza truly well made, and then even if you go with children no one has anything to say about a little brat who gets up from the table, they smile at you even if the child is lively, and this, in addition to the good food, helps us to say BRAVI, keep going like this. 29/04/2025: Excellent Roman trattoria with local specialties and more, delicious, low-priced, Roman pizza with good quality/price ratio. The added value is the kindness and hospitality of Fabrizio and Tiziana. Definitely recommended and will return. Well done, keep it up!!!!!

07/05/2025: Good overall experience, some appetizers tasty, others less so, accompanied by somewhat anonymous sauces. The first courses were tasty and well presented. The second courses are also excellent, really tender pork. Good choice of wines.

25/05/2025: My husband and I came here in April 2025 for a dinner celebrating our wedding anniversary with our baby daughter. The lovely serving staff took such good care of us all and we had a wonderful evening. It surpassed all hopes I had, in fact. The food and wine were also excellent and afterwards we enjoyed seeing the Colosseum and Roman Forum (from the Capitoline Hill) all illuminated by night. Really lovely and unforgettable experience, thank you!

We were lucky to manage to eat there (given the crowds waiting outside), so not in the restaurant but outside in their small covered area with a view of the Pantheon. This restaurant had been recommended to us for its spaghetti carbonara, so we had to try it. Excellent!

04/06/2025: Love this spot!! An absolute favorite and regular go-to for us in town/Rome. Our gluten free meal was fantastic and so flavorful. Service is always wonderful and Aurelia, our server, was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. Highly highly recommend coming here, 12/10!!

04/06/2025: The BEST carbonara I have ever had in my life. We have been regulars here now since getting to Roma on Monday (it’s now Wednesday). They have so many options, the staff is knowledgeable and so kind — especially Aurelia who made sure to note our food as gluten free (we both have celiac disease) and provided so much kindness! If you have celiac disease and/or are gluten free (senze gluten) you need to try this place, you truly will not regret it!

29/05/2025: We came in for a late dinner. The service was great, we got lovely wine recomendations, the food arrived very quickly. Loved the pasta dishes, the tiramisu was delicious. The best service and meal we had in Rome.

24/05/2025: If you want delicious pasta, come here. We came for lunch w no reservations we were seated right away. The bread they brought was amazing, the artichokes were also very good. The prices were also fair. Three pasta dishes, 1 appetizer, 1 L of wine, and 2 bottles of water for 68 Euros.

17/05/2025: I visited this restaurant with my family during our trip to Italy last week, and we chose it based on its great Google reviews — and it didn’t disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the pizza. It had a distinct, authentic flavor that’s quite different from what we’re used to in the US — in the best way! Customer service was okay, nothing extraordinary but decent enough to enjoy the meal comfortably. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a spot with truly tasty food while in Italy!

If you want to eat well at a good price in a relaxed environment but are a bit tired of only ever having amatriciana and carbonara to choose from I can’t recommend this place enough. Plenty of veggie/vegan options as well. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with any modifications
