A warm atmosphere, with attention to detail, a quiet, no-frills vibe. The staff is kind, attentive, and present at just the right time. The cuisine is the real strength: traditional dishes, well-executed, with distinct flavors and quality ingredients. You can taste the passion behind every course. The recommended wine was perfect to accompany the dinner. Fair prices, generous portions, punctual service. A restaurant where you eat well and feel at home. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity and flavor.

17/03/2026: Excellent Sunday lunch. We started with flavorful and perfectly cooked pappardelle with wild boar. Next up was a juicy chicken accompanied by crispy roast potatoes and beautifully sautéed chicory. Impeccable service: attentive, fast, and very friendly... it's a shame we didn't take photos... we'll definitely be back!!!

01/03/2026: We arrived at 8:00 PM at opening time. We ordered an artichoke appetizer to share, followed by two first courses and two second courses. After about 20 minutes, the artichoke arrived. Another 55 minutes later, the first course still hadn't arrived. The table behind us, who arrived 40 minutes later, had already eaten their appetizer and was eating their first course. After that, I asked the waiter about it and was told that they were mixing the pasta dishes together. I went to ask the owner about it too and was told very rudely that those pasta dishes required less time and that my pasta dishes (which were identical) were still being cooked. Without even an apology, I got up, asked if I had to pay anything, and left. Highly recommended for the unpleasant and somewhat rude service.

13/02/2026: Bad price quality ratio. The "coratella" was almost inedible, far too salty. The rest was average, but the price was high.

03/03/2026: The dishes are "embarrassingly" delicious. Fast service, friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is like a trattoria, clean and well-kept. A must-stop if passing through Bologna.

10/03/2026: A truly great carbonara, made just right, reminiscent of the one my mother used to make (she was a great cook!). Just right, authentic, enveloping, almost affectionate. But always perfectly executed. Old-fashioned service, like it used to be. The place is generally friendly and pleasant, and located inside a sports club, with a relaxed atmosphere. The REAL puntarelle are a plus.

23/02/2026: We went to La Francescana for lunch on Sunday and had a great time. We had a gricia and a carbonara and enjoyed both. The staff was very kind and welcoming, and we also really appreciated the attentive service given to our daughter. They brought her tortellini in broth first, and only then did our dishes arrive. I don't know if it was a coincidence, but this was very convenient because it allowed us to take care of her first and then eat ourselves without having to leave our dishes cold. We ate outside because the weather permitted, and we had a great time: the area is quiet and pleasant. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'll gladly return.

21/03/2026: Disappointing. A quaint little place, but charming. The service was good, but after reading the reviews, I had very high expectations, and that's where my disappointment came in. We ordered meatballs, pasta with meat, and lamb. The meatballs were very ordinary; I make them much better at home. The pasta was the most bland I've had in all of Rome, and the lamb was just as bad—it didn't even taste like lamb, but at least it wasn't dry. The bill was very expensive compared to other restaurants in Rome. I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend it. These places live off tourists and reviews; that's why they have customers. I don't think any Romans go there.
