05/09/2025: After a long time meaning to eat at this restaurant, I finally decided to go today for lunch for my son's birthday. Unfortunately, I was very, very disappointed. I usually avoid writing negative reviews because there are so many professionals behind a restaurant. Regardless of the Amatriciana, which was good, my wife and I had a carbonara that was INEDIBLE. THE SPAGHETTI WERE BROKEN AND THE CARBOCREMA WAS THROWN INTO A THIN WATER. I don't want to get into the reasons why. I'VE TRAVELED A LOT ABROAD FOR WORK, BUT A CARBONARA LIKE THIS DOESN'T EXIST EVEN ABROAD. What's even sadder is that the owner heeded our complaints and saw the spaghetti broken because they were overcooked with the CARBOCREMA WAS THROWN INTO A THIN WATER, dismissing us with, "NOW I'M TELLIN' HIM!!!" My family and I will definitely never be his customers again.

07/09/2025: How do I describe this restaurant? Maybe, local flavors leveled up. I appreciate an Italian restaurant willing to give it a twist! Classic fiori di zucca, nicely cooked, not too oily, well combined flavors. No firsts, straight to seconds although we will return to try the ravioli stuffed with tongue! Instead, we tried polpette and messicana della picchiapò. The polpette were breaded and pan-fried which was unexpected but not bad. The flavors were there, but a bit dry. I wished for a little bit of red sauce or a special house sauce?? The picchiapò was fantastic. Very flavorful and I'd say "off the beaten path" for Roman cuisine. We also had oven-baked porcini mushrooms which were top for us! And cicoria, always a win. Dessert was our least favorite, the best option being a soft cake with lemon curd. But a good coffee cleared our pallets. Service was exceptional, the owner was very thorough and friendly. Okay timing. The wine choices are interesting, many bio as indicated in other reviews, but they match nicely with the food. Overall we are satisfied and recommend. And we will be back, we want to try more! The baccala sounds amazing and we love that they often change the menu (for seasonal freshness). This little town is adorable and this little osteria is a local gem.

10/08/2025: I read some positive reviews and we relied on it... which I must say is disappointing... the menu was poor, only organic wines, rightly so for those who like it it may be fine, but not for everyone though... we ordered a mixed fried food on the menu it said for 2 people but in reality it arrived with a very hard dark brown breading, and a piece of each thing in total 8 pieces which would be for one person, you couldn't taste any flavor only fried breadcrumbs... we ordered since there wasn't a lot of choice, organic white wine, brought from the refrigerator to the table the owner told us that we had to wait to put it on ice because in his opinion it was fine like that... first of all I'll start by saying that everyone has their own preferences, I like it nice and cold... we ordered 2 first courses and the spaghetti with anchovy sauce was soaked in lemon in fact you could only taste lemon... poor service... the owner is as nice as judgement day... they want to make sophisticated cuisine but unfortunately it is not their professional door... I won't be back...

08/09/2025: Amazing food and the glass of Chardonnay we had was excellent!!! On the other side, one of the waiter had attitudes and it was a bit uncomfortable.

06/09/2025: Had a truly spectacular meal. Four course meal and each course is worth coming back for again. The service was exceptional. Second time there and it was consistent. So I am sold on the quality of both the food and the service.

13/08/2025: I cant describe how lucky I was to find this place. I entered the restaurant on a sunday in August. The owner was immediately very friendly explaining me on Sundays they do a special menu, something local. They do their own kind of bread, cheeses, meat, and soup. Among others. Combined with the local wine it was truly amazing. The owner explained every dish, where it was from (mostly that region), making it more special. I didnt plan to take a dessert but ended up with a great Panna cotta. I recommend this restaurant to anyone close by. Nice, peaceful, and special. I have time this week I will go back for sure!

12/08/2025: Going to the Tagliatella restaurant is a certainty, if I want to eat well and feel pampered I go to Savigno.

07/09/2025: Traditional Roman recipes, but also some more closely tied to the location and the restaurant's centuries-old history. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. It's a bit far to become a regular, but we'll be back as soon as possible. A special mention for the desserts, all strictly homemade, which deserve an extra 🌟. A traditional dessert made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients is better than a more sophisticated, industrial one. P.S. The restaurant offers direct access to the historic center.

The service is impeccable: the staff is kind, attentive, and always smiling. The cuisine is simply delicious: dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. Each course is a perfect balance of tradition and flavor. I tried the appetizers, the house first courses, and the desserts—truly extraordinary!

21/09/2025: The dishes we tried were truly excellent for what you can find in central Rome during this constipated time. The quality/price/service ratio is one of the best. They are also very fast, professional, and courteous. The ambiance is truly lovely; in my personal opinion, the ceiling is spectacular and reflects the true Roman atmosphere of yesteryear (arches and vaults in brick and tuff). The space is divided into several rooms, with adequate but not excessive air conditioning. The bathrooms, separated and accessible to those with disabilities, are sanitized, clean, and state-of-the-art despite the limited space. I would add that the pure white walls and chairs delicately contrast with the black-and-white photos of artists from the past and the ancient stones and bricks mentioned above. Unfortunately, there is no large parking lot, given that it is located a side street away from Via Veneto, and the exterior of the restaurant doesn't do justice to what it has to offer inside. It's definitely worth it, especially if you're just returning from a stroll through the nearby Villa Borghese. Congratulations.

21/09/2025: Thought this was an excellent place for a quick afternoon snack. The tiramisu was a deconstructed version. So dip the cookie in espresso then into the filling. Weird but delicious definitely recommend.

13/09/2025: [Migrating review from old account. Visited 2019] Delicious food! Excellent service! Decent price => 5*s! I had roasted vegetables (which is just spinach, unfortunately) and sausage bruscetta -- delicious! Then had spaghetti carbonara, which is done with a beaten egg (the Roman way!). See pictures! These were €6,50 and €8,50, respectively. 1ltr of water is only €2, which is decent.
