14/06/2025: We were v disappointed with this restaurant. It was recommended by a friend and also the TripAdvisor reviews did look good. For antipasti we had fried shrimp which I actually couldn't eat, the mussels au gratin were v tasty.I had swordfish tagliatelle for seconds which was more like a stew unfortunately and the pizza my daughters ordered were unfortunately very average. Im really sorry to say I do not rate the food here in comparison to the wonderfood food we ate in Bari, Lecce and Mesangne...

The managers, friendly and professional, know the dishes well and offer solutions in case of intolerances. Fantastic tasting menu! The 5 appetizers offer the opportunity to taste different recipes and all excellent. Tasty first and second courses and abundant dishes. Excellent wine!

31/05/2025: This "restaurant" is an insult to Italian cuisine: the dishes are greasy and flavorless! The Parmesan cheese has absolutely no flavor! It's the definition of a tourist trap... if you've ever tried Italian cuisine, run away! To top it all off, the service is as good as the food...

31/05/2025: Disappointing experience! There is no English menu! In the city center, for a restaurant not to have a menu in English is truly a big shame! One waiter didn’t speak English, so he called another waiter who had no patience to translate the menu for us and, saying “I’ll give you some more time to decide,” just walked away. We got up and left! What am I supposed to think about when I don’t understand anything on the menu?

27/06/2025: We had a truly memorable dinner at Il Guazzetto in Monopoli. From start to finish, everything was beautifully prepared and thoughtfully presented. We began with the octopus carpaccio — thinly sliced, incredibly tender, and full of fresh, clean flavors. It set the perfect tone for what followed. Next, we enjoyed the seafood pasta with zucchini flowers, which was a real highlight. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the seafood generous and fresh, and the zucchini flowers added a subtle sweetness that tied the dish together wonderfully. We also tried the cuzzecchije pasta — a rustic local specialty — which had a satisfying handmade texture and a rich, comforting sauce that felt authentically Pugliese. We paired our meal with a crisp local Sauvignon wine, which brought out the best in the seafood dishes without overpowering them. To finish, the tiramisu was light, creamy, and delicately balanced — a sweet end to a superb meal. The atmosphere was relaxed but refined, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The location, tucked into the heart of Monopoli’s charming old town, made the whole evening feel extra special. Highly recommended for anyone seeking fresh, honest seafood with local character and warm hospitality.

24/06/2025: Great little place to enjoy a wonderful dinner. Very helpful and kind staff, dishes prepared with care and very delicate. Particular but very pleasant combination of ingredients. Typical Salento dishes to try absolutely. Beautiful display of gins with a truly vast choice.

20/06/2025: We spent a very pleasant evening at this restaurant in Lecce. The service was attentive and friendly, and we were particularly pleasantly surprised by the wine recommendations from the waiter – we were even able to taste two wines before deciding. The food was consistently well-prepared and flavorfully balanced; the lamb dish in particular was memorable. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant – just right for a quiet evening. Overall, a lovely visit, one we will fondly remember.

31/05/2025: The best orecchietti we've ever eaten in Puglia...!!!!! We were a little disappointed because we'd eaten elsewhere and they were a bit bland: We're Argentinian and *know* pasta. We ate them Norma style and the sauce was insane. Everything looked delicious. For starters, we tried the horse meat meatballs, too, a must. I SEE THE PHOTO AND I WANT TO EAT THEM AGAIN!!!!!

26/05/2025: A place that has always been known for its excellent cuisine. My daughter's communion was celebrated, everything was excellent, beyond expectations. Excellent cleanliness, kind and competent staff, there was never a shortage of drinks at the table, as well as courtesy and education, especially Antonio, who calling him a waiter is an understatement. We ate an appetizer, varied and tasty, 1 first course to choose from among the various first courses offered, two second courses of meat including the larded fillet, truly top!, fruit and cake plus sparkling wine. Everyone was happy. I highly recommend, I recommend booking. Thanks, we will definitely be back soon!
