A truly quaint place near Piazza Mercantile in Bari Vecchia. We couldn't make a reservation, but we decided to show up anyway and wait. The owner was really kind and advised us on the wait time, which turned out to be even shorter than he'd estimated. The atmosphere was informal and convivial. We started by sharing some appetizers (olives and toasted fava beans, but they have many others). I personally had bacon rolls with caiocavallo cheese, baked in a terracotta dish (excellent), accompanied by focaccia barese. For my main course, I opted for rice, potatoes, and mussels (my first time trying it), which I found truly delicious. Generous portions and a reasonable price.

A lovely discovery, a typical restaurant serving typical Bari cuisine. The young staff is friendly and professional. The prices are fair. We recommend rice, mussels, and potatoes!
Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back. We paid €20 per person.

Much better than the Google reviews suggest. The seafood potato rice is delicious, and I tried a glass of red wine and they were all great. The terrace atmosphere is also nice. The prices are especially reasonable!

What a fantastic place to experience traditional apulia dishes. Reservations a must. Try the rice dish w mussels. And cheese plates and charcuterie.

A very quaint restaurant in Bari Vecchia, with excellent local cheese specialties! I recommend the sailor's liqueur to finish.

We ordered four dishes. One of them was almost cold. Overall, the food was good, but there were places in Bari where we ate better. Luckily, the house wine was good, because we waited quite a while for our dishes—about 40 minutes.
