19/07/2026: I wanted the risotto alla Milanese with osso buco. I'd happily go back for the risotto; it was fantastic! The osso buco, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing. It wasn't prepared in the traditional way, but rather completely covered in chopped onion and carrots, which were not very finely chopped, decidedly heavy and not very tender. It's a shame because it has so much potential.

16/07/2026: Last night I ate there for the first and last time. I was curious about the old summer cuisine. They don't do polenta, fillet steak, etc. I got the worst cutlet of my life. In fact, when I got home I went to the bathroom in a hurry. I was disappointed. The apple tart, for what it cost almost 10 euros, looked like a baked apple. There are places where you can eat very well and the price is fair. The cutlet was full of oil. The potatoes were boiling hot and I couldn't help but bake them full of oil. A terrible experience. Plus, it's expensive and I won't return.

24/07/2026: Not good at all. Expensive to start with which is something I don’t mind when the quality is good. However the food was a disaster. We sent back the mixed fried seafood as it was undercooked and tasted like batter. The risotto Milanese was very unimpressive creamy rice that kept me sat in the WC the whole day after… very bad experience.

18/07/2026: We had such an amazing dinner at La Vecchia Lita. The staff was so nice and kind, but the food truly takes it all. I really wanted to have a cotoletta alla Milanese and it was amazing. I could not recommend more!

Located outside the city with its own large parking lot, the restaurant offers a self-contained, enchanting, and almost fairytale-like atmosphere. Decorated with great attention to detail, it's a true oasis – 10/10 for the ambiance. Food and service 10/10 The waiter was very attentive and served at the perfect pace. The Cotoletta alla Milanese and the pasta with fresh truffle, which we pre-ordered, were top-notch. The dessert was also excellent. The wine selection is extensive. Thank you also for the small birthday cake. It's best to reserve early – the restaurant is very popular.

14/06/2026: Typical Milanese trattoria. Cured meats, especially salami, are brought to your table to be sliced ​​(a great idea). Cotoletta, nervetti, giardiniera, polenta (seasonal), braised meat, and much more. Friendly and simple service with above-average trattoria prices, but worth it. Ample parking and outdoor seating in the summer. Upgrade: Always a good trattoria. The food is a bit heavy for this time of year, but it's definitely Milanese. Fair price: €65 for two.

02/06/2026: The interior is well-decorated and welcoming, but unfortunately it was too crowded. The chairs were pushed together with those of adjacent tables. The noise inside made it very difficult to talk to each other at the table. Paradoxically, we could hear what was being said at other tables; let's just say we're nosy. Let's start by saying that we had high expectations, and we were treated to an appetizer with ordinary, unexciting flavors, consisting of mondeghili (fried pasta), which on its own was unimpressive; if you paired it with sauce, it tasted even better. The charcuterie board featured industrial-quality fried gnocco and other cured meats. The Milanese cutlet was good, very large, and flavorful; the breading didn't come off the quality meat. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and empathetic. Credit to their hard work and dedication, but I expected all-round quality.

01/06/2026: We returned several years after our first experience at this restaurant (I think it was 2019) because we had fond memories of it and were hosting relatives who wanted to bring something traditional. We confirm our excellent impressions: exceptional food, fair prices, and a great atmosphere. 16/05/2026: The service from a lady was spectacular. We ordered two dishes for her because we weren't very hungry (there were three of us). She took the order, and then a gentleman, probably the owner and chef, arrived arrogantly demanding that we order one dish per person because he pays a tax. I didn't understand the situation at first, as it hadn't happened in 16 days in Italy. To avoid leaving, I decided to order a salad, and he said I couldn't – it had to be a main course. So, we ended up ordering it to avoid an unpleasant situation! The situation was very annoying, because demanding something from the customer because of taxes is not the fault of the person who will try your food, but of your government. The food was tasty, but the customer service left something to be desired, and we left disappointed. Thank you.
