Incredible dishes, amazing wines, and wonderful introductions from the Sommelier, who alone make the experience worthwhile. Fun, interesting, and never overwhelming. It's not the first time we've come for dinner, and the response is always the same. See you soon! The prices are absolutely in line with the high quality of the food and wine (and you'll be pleasantly surprised!), with truly satisfying portions and dishes that are a feast for the eyes as well. The cotoletta and ossobuco with risotto are superb! In short: absolutely unmissable!

13/10/2025: A beautiful village trattoria located in the characteristic setting of the Milanese countryside. I have little to say about Trattoria San Galdino: authentic and delicious dishes, kind and helpful staff, an excellent selection of wines, and top-quality homemade desserts. I highly recommend stopping by for a meal.

15/09/2025: We went for lunch and ate really well, the Milanese cutlet and appetizer were truly delicious! 👍. Hot dishes, waiting time, preparation time 👍 really good people. A little expensive in terms of prices but we were very satisfied and we recommend it. We will be back! 😂😂😋😋😋

01/11/2025: I've tried it on 3-4 other occasions, always satisfied. The old-fashioned atmosphere, Milanese food, and friendly service make it a must-visit for me, who adores the Milan of my grandparents. It's so nice to speak a little Milanese dialect...I'll definitely return.

07/10/2025: Mediocre place with a somewhat rude waiter, who I think is the owner. The menu is limited, and they don't accept meal vouchers. Relatively cheap, the gnocchi are good.

07/10/2025: Hearty and flavorful pastas, delicious tiramisu, hard-working owners who are friendly, locals filling every table. A translation aid was helpful for us since we speak and understand Italian very poorly. Dinner menu looked spectacular, but we were there for the lunch hour when an €11 set menu was offered with pasta, water, coffee, and cover included. Great affordable spot in the middle of downtown, the price makes this a gem for travelers on a tight budget.

03/10/2025: A superbly refined restaurant in a prime location in Milan. The location is meticulously maintained, with a style reminiscent of old-fashioned trattorias. The dishes reflect Milanese tradition, slightly revisited with a more modern twist. The menu is extensive, including the wine list. The service was excellent, both in terms of service and wait time. I really appreciated the complimentary glass of wine offered by the waitress while waiting for our table. I found the prices very fair and in line with the city. If I have to be picky and find a flaw, I'd point out the rounding up of about 50 cents on the bill for each person at the table (there were nine of us). However, I want to point out that this doesn't change my opinion of the restaurant's quality, so I recommend it.

03/10/2025: We had lunch yesterday with my wife, straight from Cagliari... we had a typical Milanese lunch based on Milanese risotto, ossobuco and cutlet... what can I say, everything was very good, accompanied by the kindness and professionalism of the staff

24/10/2025: Excellent Dinner to Celebrate a Graduation After more than 10 years, I returned to the Al Garghet restaurant for my niece's graduation celebrations. A historic Milanese restaurant, established for nearly 35 years, Al Garghet, originally a former tavern and dance hall, is located (and we recommend using Google Maps) half-hidden among the fields south of Milan, specifically at Via Selvanesco 36, between the Grattosoglio and Vigentino neighborhoods. The interior is a program in itself, thanks to the magical, almost fairytale-like atmosphere, created by its seasonal decorations and Christmas decorations, which are already up in October. First of all, the name "Garghet" derives from the sound frogs make, meaning "the croaking of frogs," which are present (in ceramic, wood, and plastic) on many of the cupboard shelves in the front rooms. Then there are the rooms and spaces, furnished in the style of the English countryside or bohemian France. Rooms that hark back to Milanese tradition, with furnishings reminiscent of Milanese tenement houses or works by various artists the owners love to surround themselves with, as well as memorabilia from travels around the world. Not to mention the outdoor areas, naturally open in the warmer months, which evoke rustic meadows, huts, flowerbeds, and country streams. The menu, written in dialect on squared notebooks, immediately immerses you in Milanese culture, a feeling not easy to grasp for those not born in Milan. Returning to our dinner, there were nine of us to celebrate my niece's graduation, a certain event, so my brother-in-law managed to reserve a table in advance, a difficult one to book, even during the week: it was a Thursday. The restaurant is famous, indeed very famous, for its Milanese cutlet, which we also recommend booking. We opted for a single dish per person, well aware of the generous portions of not only the classic "Cuteléta A La Milanesa" (the classic, bone-in veal, cooked pink in clarified butter with baked potatoes) (gluten, eggplant, dairy, traces of sesame, soy, nuts, mustard), but also the "Cuteléta Del Garghet" (large, crispy elephant-ear pork loin with diced tomatoes) (gluten, eggplant, sesame, soy, nuts, mustard). Given their size, both of the aforementioned cutlets will satisfy at least two people. Someone else opted for the "Risott A La Milanosa" (Classic Milanese-style risotto, Carnaroli "Salera" rice (dairy products, celery, sulfites), the "Mondeghili" (Milanese-style breaded and fried meatballs (gluten, egg, sesame, soy, nuts, nightshade, dairy products, celery, mustard), and the "Risolt Fumée" (Carnaroli "Salera" rice creamed with smoked provola cheese and black pepper, parsley sprouts, creamed fava beans sautéed with celery, dairy products, sulfites). A taste of Fried Porcini Mushrooms, all washed down with a good Morellino di Scansano. Water galore, at least seven desserts, among which I remember the delicious Caramel Ice Cream, Mascarpone Cream, and the Deconstructed Tiramisu. The staff was quite fast, considering the multitude of customers in the various rooms. Rooms. Excellent atmosphere and quality cuisine, which is obviously reflected in the final price, which is high but in line with the quality and portions. As already mentioned, reservations are required, both to indicate the number of cars that will be parking in the large parking lot, monitored by no fewer than four security guards, and to leave a credit card number for the deposit.

23/10/2025: I have to say I recommend it without any ifs or buts... Perhaps a little pricey... But then again, it's better to be a little pricey and eat well than a modest price and eat badly...

06/10/2025: The restaurant has a lot of dishes of Milanese food however the taste and quality still have to improve. I still think it is good taste but still need to improve I ordered ossobuco. The meat should be more soft ( from my experience that I have tried many time ossobuco). I was very very disappointed of the dessert of the restaurant Tiramisu ! I have questions how come of Italian can make this tiramisu! It was so bad ! Like they took from frozen I love the vibe of the restaurant and the taste is still good just some details which has to improve

14/10/2025: A historic Milanese restaurant, very beautiful and well-kept. Mondeghili are among the best I've ever tasted. The chicken, however, was nothing special; it was small, all bones, dry, and even the sauce didn't wow me. The risotto and cutlet, however, were good. The wine list is limited and, above all, overpriced. All the wines, except a couple, are over €50 or €60. Given the selection available in Italy, these prices are inexplicable. The desserts are average. Overall, I recommend it, but I wasn't thrilled with some of the restaurant's offerings.

14/10/2025: A place with a unique and decidedly historic atmosphere. The service is quick and, although very formal, pleasant. Everyone is kind and professional, from the lady who welcomes you with a smile to all the waiters. The menu is traditional, everything is good. A tip: the risotto, cooked a few minutes longer, is al dente, but not too much. The sweets served with coffee are a very welcome touch. The table linens and tableware are truly high-quality. Thank you.

25/09/2025: Trattoria A Casa Mia is known for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. It's open every evening, including Sunday lunch, but is closed on Mondays. Reservations are required; usually, leave a message on the answering machine so they can contact you and confirm your reservation. Recommended!
