Located in the center of Milan, in the nightlife area, it still maintains the spirit of a typical trattoria. In fact, the quality of the food does it credit, the typical Milanese cutlet is truly exceptional. The bill is appropriate for the quality and quantity of the food.

I've had the pleasure of dining at La Vecchia Lira on multiple occasions, and each visit confirms it's a gem in the heart of the city. Renowned for its authenticity, this establishment never fails to deliver an exemplary Italian dining experience.
Our latest visit was no exception. We began with an assortment of salumi and Mortadella al Tartufo, accompanied by artichokes - each dish was a testament to the quality ingredients and skillful preparation that La Vecchia Lira is known for. For the main course, we opted for the Fiorentina steak for three, alongside Cotoletta, a decision that left us entirely captivated by the flavors and craftsmanship of the kitchen. The mains were so visually and gastronomically appealing that we were entirely engrossed, forgetting to capture the moment with photos - a rare occurrence in today's digital age.
To conclude the meal, we indulged in Tiramisu, a dessert that perfectly encapsulated the meal's essence: classic, comforting, and meticulously prepared.

Historic and elegant Milanese restaurant, it offers a wide choice of typical Milanese dishes. The service is attentive and the staff are mostly friendly, even if those who took care of our table were at times grumpy and hasty, also due to the fact that unfortunately dinner is divided into two shifts and the maximum stay is two hours , an attitude that has recently become fashionable but which I don't find in line with a restaurant of this target but more for tourist venues. I absolutely recommend the mondeghili which I really appreciated, the accompanying mustard was also really good, however the schnitzel was a bit disappointing according to all seven guests, as it was very thin and a little dry, nothing memorable! The only positive note was that the breading was light, not very greasy and easily digestible, an aspect that I really appreciated as I have a delicate stomach, but for those who don't have problems, it lacks that crunchiness and fullness of butter that a true Milanese cutlet requires!
Worth trying again but not passing with flying colours

There was a problem with an order from one person at the table which was different to the type of the other diners (all meat except one spaghetti). Unfortunately they forgot the spaghetti and he had to wait 14 minutes.

Delicious risotto ossobucco. Very tasty and the tagliata was also so good. You can taste the quality. The tiramisu was different than normal with a crunchy topping. Definitely recommend it.

Do you want Milanese tradition on your plate? Here you will be served and abundantly satisfied. Stir-fried rice with a heart of cheese is my favorite dish. Undisputed second place to erotic potatoes: a revisitation of grandma's chips with surprise spices. Third place...only because gluttony has priority...over the courtesy and friendliness of the service. I've been back several times. Repeat iuvant 😎. Try it and try it again!

Amazing restaurant in Moscow with very high quality food!
The starter menu isn't huge, but what there is is truly incredible. The maltagliati with guinea fowl ragout were delicious.
The appetizers and the Milanese cutlet are also very good.

Passandoci davanti parecchie volte, avevamo sempre visto un bel locale affollatissimo di tanta bella gente e così abbiamo deciso di provarlo anche noi.
Dopo la prenotazione e la conferma della prenotazione, siamo entrati in questo ristorante che al suo interno è molto caldo e ben arredato.
Al contrario di quanto abbiamo letto, l’accoglienza e poi il servizio del cameriere sono stati entrambi calorosi e professionali.
Il cibo è stato tutto di nostro gradimento, anzi diciamo che abbiamo mangiato decisamente bene e alla fine ci aspettavamo un conto molto alto, invece abbiamo trovato i prezzi assolutamente in linea con le aspettative.
Da ritornare sicuramente!

Siamo stati in questa osteria un sabato sera, al secondo turno, ovvero con prenotazione dalle 21:30.
C'è tanta gente, quindi consiglio di prenotare con largo anticipo.
Il locale è molto bello, caratteristico, addobbato in occasione delle festività natalizie.
L'ambiente è caldo e i camerieri sono gentili, ci si sente a proprio agio.
Il cibo devo dire molto buono; risotto all'ossobuco eccellente, cosi come i maltagliati al ragù di cinghiale. Molto buoni anche i dolci, consiglio il tiramisu.
Ampia e di buon livello anche la carta dei vini, con bottiglie molto interessanti.
Rapporto qualità/prezzo valido.
