03/08/2024: This is the best place for traditional Italian food in Milano. It’s a family restaurant opened in 1962 and still run by the family with Mrs Elide on top of the restaurant to make sure that everything is prepared well in the kitchen and guests are very well served and look after properly.ravioli selections was delicious and tiramisu also tasted so good plus recommended Prosecco,my friend had it dish from polenta which is very characteristic of the cuisine of the Milano region,definitely will be back sometime next year.

12/08/2024: The dishes are excellent, the atmosphere of a summer evening refreshed by the greenery around is very pleasant. I recommend lean ravioli, the sautéed rice is not exciting.

29/07/2024: Sono stata cena con un'amica genovese, volevo farle assaggiare le specialità milanesi ed è stato tutto oltre alle aspettative. Sembrava di essere in campagna, in realtà alle porte di Milano. Comodo il parcheggio, ambiente caratteristico e rilassante. Menù ottimo, gustoso e per noi abbondante, non siamo delle mangione ma le porzioni erano più che soddisfacenti. Personale gentilissimo e siamo uscite soddisfatte. Da tornare sicuramente.

28/07/2024: Too bad, we returned during the week, we've been missing for a while...disappointing, maybe it's the change of management, I don't know. Completely poor accompaniment to the aperitif, worse dinner, not good first courses, dry dishes. The only good thing is the grain focaccia, the rest is strangely negative. The context is preserved, the garden is very pleasant, the internal rooms are beautiful. Friendly staff...hopefully we stumbled upon a bad day.

30/07/2024: Food is good but for the price I have had better. Service reminded me of a french brasserie that is used to tourist business. The waiter was impatient in the beginning giving no recommendations then we were left hanging towards the end. Much warmer to the local patrons. Waited 20 min for him to come back to us to clear the table and give us dessert menu then another 20 min for the check. The check was all handwritten so impossible to see what the breakdown was for the food. When he presented the bill he made sure to mention the service was not included and asked if we wanted to include it. I wrote down 20 euro and he tried to calculate it as 20 pct.

28/07/2024: Trattoria con pietenza locali discretamente buone, ma nella media. Abbiamo assaggiato il risotto alla milanese con osso buco che era buono ma sicuramente preparato precedentemente perchè ci è stato servito dopo 5 minuti dall'ordine. Abbiamo preso anche la cotoletta di maiale che, come ho già letto negli altri post, quindi non è stata una mia sensazione, non è stata fritta nel burro ed era molto fine e secca. Quindi voto al cibo 3. Forse i prezzi sono sopra la media per una trattoria. Veniamo alle note dolenti. Ambiente carino ma caldissimo e soprattutto invaso dalle zanzare che ci hanno massacrato per tutto il tempo, e non eravamo in giardino ma nella prima sala all'ingresso. Il personale di sala molto frenetico ed agitato. La responsabile, colei che gestiva i tavoli e le prenotazioni, per niente rispettosa, anzi. Si è arrabbiata perchè non abbiamo avvisato che mio figlio, in quanto ragazzo allergico, stava mangiando le pietanze che di solito prepariamo noi per evitare contaminazioni, forse aveva ragione ma un minimo di rispetto e comprensione ci stava tutto, anche perchè il ragazzo ha consumato le bibite e il coperto se lo sono comunque pagato. Poi non contenta ha continuato a borbottare al microfono con i suoi colleghi dell'accaduto. Detto ciò, visto che a Milano c'è sicuramente di meglio, è stata la mia prima ed ultima volta.

22/07/2024: For 10 years I frequented the Madonnina restaurant and I am well aware of the atmosphere and the dishes that were on the menu (which varied from day to day based on the availability of raw materials). The new management has redone the place, in my opinion sweeping away many posters and historical photos from the walls, thus losing a piece of the identity of the place. The service is not what you expect from such a place, quite cold and not attentive to any type of food intolerance. Milanese cuisine is ok, but in 2024 and July I expect to find at least one first or second vegetable course on the menu. Mondeghili not recommended in any case, totally unrelated, never eaten like this. The Milanese risotto tasted too much like parmesan and I struggled to digest it (first time in my life that happens to me). I was sitting with friends inside and we had to escape because of the mosquitoes. Price too high for the quality of the dishes, even if at the checkout they gave the possibility of making separate accounts, considering Saturday evening this is certainly something to be appreciated, especially in Milan. I hope that these observations can be useful for the new management to take different care of such a historic place in Milan, currently it seemed to me to be a place interested in a clientele made up of tourists and not locals because I certainly wouldn't return.

15/08/2024: Excellent place in the center of Milan, with more than fair prices taking into account the location. The risotto alla bonarda and sausage was excellent, and a dish of fried gnocco that didn't make an Emilian like me feel like he was away at all. Desserts normal.

15/08/2024: Typical restaurant of old Milan, very warm and welcoming. The Milanese cutlet is excellent.

10/08/2024: If I could give no stars I would! So how can you make a reservation when they NEVER answer the phone ?! There's no online reservation platform to book and the website says to make a reservation ... Call Us ?! Really?! ANSWER YOUR PHONE !!

16/07/2024: Armosfera accogliente, da trattoria di campagna a due passi dal tram che porta in Duomo. D'estate si pranza sotto un bel pergolato rinfrescato da ventilatori. Servizio non velocissimo ma cordiale ed efficiente. Degli antipasti, buoni i fiori di zucca fritti a 12 euro (con ricotta, basilico e noce moscata) e la cruditè di (3) gamberi rossi con taralli a 21 euro, da dimenticare i gamberi al vapore alla catalana che non sapevano di nulla: dopo una civile rimostranza, sarebbe stato simpatico ricevere almeno un piccolo sconto sui 18 euro di costo del piatto, e invece nulla. Fra i primi, onesti gli spaghetti con vongole veraci e bottarga (15 euro). Tra i secondi , qualche riserva sul filetto di tonno in crosta di pistacchio (il sapore del pistacchio si perdeva nella panatura) a 21 euro, buone le seppie alla griglia a 18. Da sottolineare anche i dolci: a 7 euro buono il tiramisu fatto in casa e il millefoglie "fatto da noi", come pure il salame di cioccolato.

04/08/2024: We ordered an item off the menu, fried anchovies. it was listed as 8€ and they charged us 14€, claiming that was the old menu. absolute rip off, tourist trap, you can get better food elsewhere. My partner is an italian speaker so it wasn’t even a case of scamming tourists, but absolutely disgraceful nonetheless.

18/07/2024: Medium-low "experience". Rather dry cutlet taken, difficult to get to the end (if compared with others of the same type elsewhere) with chips that seemed to have been taken from the bag, but less good. Medium sweet, medium wine. Ordinary environment and place settings. For me expensive compared to the offer. I do not recommend and will not repeat.

21/07/2024: Very good lunch restaurant, you can sit inside and outside and get great food. We received our food shortly after ordering. Everything went very quickly, which is perfect for lunch. Perfect for business lunch.

04/06/2024: Nel bel mezzo della moderna Milano, tra negozi di lusso e fast food, street food, spunta questa trattoria d'altri tempi nemmeno fosse il binario 9 3/4 di Harry Potter. Servizio cortese (per la maggior parte straniero), menù ottimo con prezzi da vera osteria, cosa rarissima vista la centralità del locale e la città. C'è anche un piatto unico a 15 euro, il riso alla parmigiana era pessimo a dire il vero, il parmigiano l'aveva visto in televisione, ma il resto delle portate è stato ottimo, con rapporto qualità prezzo eccelente. Male invece i dolci a 7 euro ciascuno. Assolutamente consigliato.

15/05/2024: La trattoria è accogliente. Resta in una via di Milano molto bella e tranquilla. La sala dietro è grande ma non rumorosa. I tavoli forse un po' piccoli. Sono veloci e organizzati bene. Sono gentili. Il cibo è molto buono. Il prezzo è corretto. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Unico neo non prendono i ticket. Consigliatissima.

26/08/2024: The restaurant is beautifully located right on the river. When we arrived the restaurant was opening so we were able to find a free table. Everything was occupied in a few minutes, I was “lucky”. Unfortunately, the experience and the quality of the food did not match the ambience. The food was not tasty and, at least with the lasagna, not fresh. The lasagna was still cold inside and tasted below average. We didn't like the pizza itself either, the dough came across as rather loveless and too doughy. It's a shame, all in all a nice atmosphere but the quality and price just don't fit

30/08/2024: Great Food, Great Ambiance, Friendly Service in the Naviglia area of Milan - what else do you need. Make sure to try one of specialty gins they have.

06/08/2024: Very good! Good pasta, good meat, the best potatoes. The lamb (the dish is called something with Agnelo)excellent. Very nice restaurant, service and atmosphere! Recommended!!!
