17/05/2025: Five years ago I wrote "Nice friendly context, traditional Milano food, friendly staff". Now the food is brutally falling down, the service remains great but too many dishes caused us stomach ache in the night..and now in Italian: Guys, always impeccable and friendly service but you are falling flat on the head on quality, especially ossobuco, polenta but in general they served gaviscon. It is good to be honest as I was 5 years ago giving you a super rating, and honestly I note that the reviews are going very badly in the last few months so something in the kitchen and in the products has changed, the quality of the food is the other side of the moon compared to before do something you risk feeling bad.

14/05/2025: Milan and the Lombardy region, which Milan is part of, are said to have the highest income level in Italy but lack the diversity of traditional cuisine. Nevertheless, there are three dishes that are always mentioned. These are cotoletta alla Milanese, risotto alla Milanese, and ossobuco. I usually enjoy these three at once. That’s why I decided to visit this trattoria for my first night in Milan. I heard that this trattoria is popular among locals because it is reasonably priced compared to Milanese prices, and it is an incredibly old restaurant that opened in 1722. Reservations are required and can only be made by phone, so I made them the day before through the hotel concierge. It has a comfortable and homey atmosphere, and although it is not very large, it is not cramped, and there are quite a few tables. I went in at exactly 7 o’clock, but after 8 o’clock, all the empty seats were gone. The menu is mainly Lombardy traditional cuisine, and today’s menu was also prepared separately. It is divided into antipasti, primi, and secondi, but it is okay to order it as a main dish. I ordered cotoletta alla Milanese and risotto alla Milanese with ossobuco, and the price was 28 euros for both. I ordered a bottle of house wine and drank it, and the taste was quite delicate and good. First, cotoletta alla Milanese can be considered Milanese-style veal schnitzel. It is similar to schnitzel, a German or Austrian cutlet, but the difference is that it is fried without removing the bones. Since cutlets are hard to taste bad, I didn't have high expectations when I ate it, but I was surprised by the soft yet crispy breadcrumbs and the juicy veal meat. The seasoning was perfect and it was very rich. Since it was a large portion and fried, it was inevitable that it would be oily, but the simple garnishes such as tomatoes and arugula helped to make it go down easily. Among the garnishes, the potatoes are fluffy and needless to say. Next, the risotto alla Milanese (risotto alla Milanese con ossobuco) with ossobuco was also not small in quantity. The risotto had a faint saffron scent and was bright yellow in color. I first took a bite of the ossobuco, which is stewed veal shin bone, and the chewy and firm flesh and texture were a work of art. The seasoning was similar to stewed oxtail, but the flesh and texture were clearly different and attractive. The risotto had a buttery and sticky texture, and the rice grains were crunchy and chewy. The part that impressed me the most was the rich flavor added by the saffron, and the combination of that and the butteriness was truly harmonious. PS. I hope you scrape every last bit of the ossobuco bone!

04/04/2025: difficile recuperare il fascino del posto storico; ed anche la location, per quanto centralissima, non potrà eguagliare piazza belgioso. L'interno anche se colonnato risulta un pò freddo....ci dovremo fare l'abitudine. la delusione però non deve far passare in secondo piano la sostanza,: si mangia sempre bene, con grande cura ed attenzione del personale. Tutto ciò è rimasto intatto

01/04/2025: Abbiamo mangliato un risotto ,una pasta e un calice a testa di spumante per la modica cifra di 50€...senza parolle.Il personale molto gentile e la location era molto piú bella prima.Adesso sembra la sala di un albergo.

29/05/2025: Solferino is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Milan — a must-visit for anyone who truly appreciates great Italian food. Every dish we had was memorable. The carbonara, trufel pasta, octopus, linguine with seafood, lobster pasta, and ravioli were all beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The homemade liver pâté was a highlight — rich, smooth, and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, the tiramisu was simply exceptional — without a doubt, one of the best I’ve ever tried in my life. Other desserts were also good. We also had an excellent bottle of Marchesi di Barolo 2016

16/05/2025: Luogo delizioso della vecchia Milano. Abbiamo preso il classico ossobuco col risotto allo zafferano: una esperienza gastronomica indimenticabile. Ci torneremo quando saremo di nuovo nella metropoli meneghina.

11/04/2025: Visitamos este restaurante sin reserva y fueron recibidos inmediatamente. Primeros: Risotto giallo alla Milanese y Ciotola di nervetti dell'Acquabella. Red: Cotoletta alla Milanese con Patate y fuera del menú tripe. Todos los artículos fueron servidos calientes y deliciosos.

09/03/2025: Locale suggerito da un sito web. Atmosfera molto gioviale. Staff carino e presente. Deludente la cotoletta, totalmente sciapa. Risotto e ossobuco nella norma.

30/05/2025: Had dinner at El Brelin while in the area for business. Great restaurant in a really cool area of Milan. The food was outstanding and the staff were very accolade g of our group. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by and eat here!

29/05/2025: Fik bord udenfor , hvor det trak meget. Spurgte om vi kunne rykke bord til nabobordet, da det var koldt, fin service vi fik rykket bord, uden problemer og blev så fuldkomment glemt. Der gik 1,5 time før vi fik mad og det fik vi kun fordi vi havde spurgt hvor den blev af. Undskyldningen var at vi havde flyttet bord, men hvis de havde lavet maden, ville de nok have ledt efter os, vi var kun rykket til nabo bordet. Da jeg bad om en dekort på regningen kunne de desværre ikke gøre noget, maden var middelmådig, det var helt klart at turister var man lige glade med. Jeg vil anbefale jer at finde et andet sted.

22/05/2025: Wonderful restaurant with plenty of geese decor, can't recommend this enough! 🪿 Truly an authentic milanese restaurant that isn't too touristy. We ordered the Risotto alla Milanese and Garganelli Zafferano Zuccine e Gambretti, in addition to a Swordfish steak which were all so delicious! Our server Tony was lovely and very helpful, we can't wait to come back!

31/08/2024: Entering a temple of Milanese history like the Taverna Morigi means having the courage to carry on the history and tradition of a wonderful place. and it doesn't matter whether you took over for a well-made purchase or for a sale from the person managing it, respecting the history of the place is fundamental. you have entered the history of Milan and have proposed the same rubbish that is found everywhere

02/06/2025: Viví en Italia en 1991 durante un año. Yo venía de Inglaterra y nunca había comido comida italiana. Cuando probé el plato de mi esposa me catapultó 34 años atrás y me sentí bastante emocionado. Así de auténticamente italiano es este lugar. Lleno de lugareños. Gran servicio. Muy barato. Mi risotto fue sublime. Mi esposa tenía la orecchiette. Le encantó. Tenía ternera para mi segundo y mi esposa tenía una gran panecotta. Volveremos a Milán y volveremos aquí con certeza. Maravilloso.

29/03/2025: Pranzo di lavoro nel centro di Milano; discreta scelta nel menù, personalmente ho optato per un “piatto gourmet” che comprende primo e secondo, ottima la qualità delle materie prime utilizzate, veloce il servizio, personale molto cordiale. Tenendo conto della zona in cui si trova prezzo decisamente contenuto.
