03/07/2025: The quality/cost ratio of the dinner was not balanced and reasonable.

25/06/2025: In the past we have been there several times to eat gnocco and tigelle and everything has always gone well. The last time, in the fall, we were not happy, but we went back again a few weeks ago. On the website it was written that they opened at 19:30, so we arrived at 19:40. We were the first. A waiter sat us down, then continued to finish preparing the tables. At 20:05, while a group was coming in, he came to take our order. We waited a long time, then a medium tray of cold cuts arrived, some sauce, two small baskets of tigelle and gnocco. Soon everything was gone, so we asked if it was possible to have more (in the past, as soon as they saw the empty plates, they asked and came back with more food). After almost half an hour, a small tray arrived with some cold cuts and a basket with 2/3 tigelle and 2/3 gnocchi. I asked if it was possible to have more cold cuts and they said yes, but by paying €10 extra. I accepted, but then some gnocco and some tigelle were missing to finish the cold cuts and, from that moment, more than half an hour passed, then 4/5 pieces of gnocco and tigelle arrived. It was distressing, it felt like we were begging. No one came to ask if everything was okay and if we were okay. Finally, we would have liked 2 coffees and 2 desserts but, since no one else came to the table, even if there were few people, we got up and went to pay. We spent quite a lot, considering that we ate little and waited a long time. We will not return.

08/08/2025: The restaurant is well located near historical monuments. The setting suggests a good quality restaurant. The waiters are pleasant. The only problem, and not the least, is that the food suggests a school canteen and the bill a 5-star restaurant. Not much on the pizza and the tomatoes with burrata only had burrata in name (no taste and plastic texture)... we spent the basket of bread at 8 euros for 2

21/07/2025: It was nice to sit there because Mantua is a really beautiful city and it's right in the middle of a square. The food was good; we had two starters and one pasta dish. The dessert was okay, but not particularly sophisticated. Otherwise, we didn't think the service was great; our waiter made us feel like he didn't want to serve us at all (perhaps he didn't like children; we had two with us).

24/07/2025: I was here in 2022 and I intend to return... To once again eat 'Riso alla Pilota'!!! Delicious!

20/07/2025: It's a shame there's no air conditioning. Good food. The first course was plentiful. The bread wasn't exactly inviting. It was a business lunch. Overall, it's okay.

06/05/2025: Dopo 40 anni che siamo clienti, delusi dai prezzi raddoppiati e un servizio scadente, mai successo come ripeto da clienti per oltre 40 anni. Abbiamo festeggiato matrimoni, battesimi, comunioni, compleanni e portato numerosi amici e conoscenti come nuova clientela, alla quale gireremo il nostro disappunto. Per ultimo 2 antipasti semplici 40 EURO. E chiudo peccato !

05/05/2025: Questo ristorante è davvero carino, sia nei suoi spazi interni, sia nel cortile. Cibo molto buono, servizio veloce, piano bar per nulla "invadente", e conto perfetto. Torneremo sicuramente :-)

28/04/2025: Cena del 26 aprile con la moglie. Selezione di salumi mantovani, culatta di Busseto con giardiniera, bigoli al torchio, agnoli mantovani burro e salvia, un dolce locale-Helvezia. Tutto eccellente, sia la materia prima sia la preparazione delle portate. Locale caratteristico, servizio perfetto. Complimenti, suggerisco di prenotare.

26/07/2025: Excellent experience, both for the food and the service. The location is very nice, right in the city center. We were also offered an entree and a sampling of Mantua desserts, which were truly appreciated! I'll definitely be back!!

23/07/2025: Cuisine that's both innovative and traditional, excellent service and conversation! Great for vegetarians as well. Full of art, features photography and author talks. A great place for anyone passing through Mantova.

14/05/2025: The place is dated, however the dining room is welcoming and clean. The managers were really kind and thoughtful and showed us special attention. We enjoyed a delicious dinner. The place is not exactly located along our usual routes, but if we have the opportunity we will gladly return.

19/03/2025: Absolutely high price. €14 for 100g of tagliatelle and €3 cover charge for a dated Molyo restaurant are absolutely a disproportionate price. Final bill €21 (tagliatelle, water, coffee). I don't give 1 star because the tagliatelle were good.

22/05/2025: Simple trattoria with typical Mantua dishes, pumpkin tortelli truly exceptional. Generous portions. The lady who welcomes you with kindness and sympathy is an excellent hostess. Fair price.

18/05/2025: Ottima trattoria. Tutto perfetto. Dalla location sulla meravigliosa Piazza delle Erbe. Alle portate deliziose, ampiamente descritte dal personale competente e gentile. La famiglia ci ha donato questa cena. È stato un regalo veramente apprezzato. 😘

22/08/2025: A restaurant under the arcades, in the streets of Mantua's city center. Outdoor tables on the sidewalk, but fairly quiet. The restaurant offers a choice of menus that include a first course, water, cover charge, and coffee, or a first course, a second course with water, cover charge, and coffee, all for an affordable price (from 10 to 15 euros). The lasagna and ravioli are truly delicious! The dishes are simple, but good, and the portions are just right. The service was very quick and attentive, and the hostess was cheerful and friendly.

16/08/2025: Tourist trap. The location is central and very charming, but the food quality is poor, with stale bread and high prices. I definitely don't recommend it.

05/08/2025: Auf der Piazza sitzt man wunderbar! Allerdings dauerte es 20 Minuten (!) bis der Wirt sich unser annahm; gut, wir waren im Urlaub und hatten Zeit. Der Service war aber weiterhin mangelhaft: Erst wurde die falsche Vorspeise serviert, dann das Besteck nicht mitgeliefert, um den Espresso mussten wir zweimal bitten - das macht keine Freude. Das Essen war guter Durchschnitt.

08/06/2025: Locale sicuramente carino, ottimi piatti, ben preparati e curati, peccato che il cameriere serve come fossimo in una pizzeria, senza dare importanza a quello che servono. Chiedo di aprire il vino, sotto intendendo poi il servizio, ma qui no, aperto e rimesso nel secchio del ghiaccio, poi c’è lo siamo servito noi. Fra una portata e l’alta non si sono degnati di farsi vedere per comandare un vino adatto alle seconde portate (qui anche poco furbi e commercianti) , alla fine ti promettono un digestivo…. Sto aspettando ancora adesso ☹️. Usciti dal ristorante, neanche un saluto da parte dei gerenti. In generale, in diversi ristoranti e locali comunque, servizio scadente, approssimativo e poco personale.
