We had dinner here before going to the Observatory, the food was delicious (tigelle and gnocco, perhaps the sauces could be improved but it's a matter of taste) but it was early and the sun was still too hot on the veranda, for the rest nothing to complain about and the prices were normal.

Excellent variety of first courses. The tigelle and fried gnocco are delicious. The wait is normal. A place to definitely return.

The food is very good, from the tortellini to the gnocchi. The problem is the very slow service, at least today for lunch (Saturday, May 2nd): for example, we would have even ordered dessert at the end of the meal... too bad that after more than 20 minutes of waiting for the waiter to take our order, we lost our appetite! And the surrounding tables were practically empty... In conclusion, a great place to eat in a beautiful, green setting and excellent value. My only suggestion regarding the service: more attention to timing (the staff at the tables were very courteous and welcoming, by the way). P.S. We had booked.

We go there often, and the waiter has changed, but he's very kind and good. We've always had gnocco and tigelle with cold cuts and cheeses, always delicious. The eight of us spent €30, which is fair.

15/04/2026: We went for lunch on a Sunday. A very characteristic place where time has stood still in the 1980s. The cuisine is traditional. The snails are very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Recommended.
29/03/2026: Excellent food!! The place is like a dive into the '70s. Every corner is filled with things, paintings, bottles, things and more things... maybe a little too heavy, but definitely very unique😅. The service is a little slow, but the dishes are worth the wait. If you love snails, you can't miss this place! 😋🐌🐌🐌

Osteria delle Erbe

11/07/2026: Scaravelli practically occupies the entire Piazza delle Erbe in Mantua. It houses the restaurant, divided into a ristorante and a bar area with lounge furniture, as well as a gelateria and a bakery. Everything is of a high standard, with something for everyone. A lovely spot. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, attending to every request with a customer-oriented approach. It's the perfect place to get in the mood for the concerts taking place next door in Piazza Sordello.
