14/11/2025: Frankly, we expected something better. We ordered an appetizer that lacked the signature cured meat, namely prosciutto crudo. Then, the tagliolini with mushrooms had bland pasta that ruined the flavor of the dish. For an appetizer, two first courses, a glass of wine, water, and two coffees, we paid 61 euros. Too much, considering everything.

02/11/2025: Craving gnocco fritto and tigelle and having been unable to find a table at any of the popular Modena restaurants, I saw that this restaurant nearby offered them, so, encouraged by the positive reviews, we dined here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is simple but well-maintained, both in the dining room and on the veranda, which, of course, has Plexiglas walls in the winter. I imagine it's very popular in the summer. The quantity of cured meats, sauces, gnocco fritto, and tigelle is generous and more than enough for two "normal" people; I must say, however, that it's a bit far from the gnocco fritto and tigelle you'd find in typical Modena restaurants. The gnocco fritto wasn't greasy, but the dough was a bit bland; the tigelle lacked firmness on the inside, and when you cut them, only the crispy sides remained. We probably chose the wrong dish; the menu features both traditional dishes and dishes with unusual combinations, especially the first courses. The orange, chocolate, and chili tart was delicious, served hot. I recommend keeping the kitchen door closed, as the room filled with the smell of fried food. The service was friendly, fairly quick, and attentive (though not everyone was). A bit of confusion when it came to the bill, but it was resolved. Competitive prices. Would definitely try again another time.

05/11/2025: Too much waiting, the only lady serving calmly went around the various tables and took orders very slowly, the first course was good but the pasta was overcooked, for 15 euros a dish it is unacceptable

03/11/2025: For my son's graduation, we celebrated with the family at Bice. There were eight of us, and we ordered platters as appetizers, followed by three first courses recommended by the owner, water, and a bottle of Franciacorta for dessert—the delicious bignolata. Everything was excellent. The only negative note, and I'm truly sorry to say this, was the bathroom. Since my mother is wheelchair-bound, she couldn't use the restroom because it's a squat toilet. I thank the owner again for her courtesy.

29/10/2025: We'll definitely return to this small, family-run trattoria. We enjoyed traditional Mantuan dishes (both on the menu and off-menu). The atmosphere could use a bit of a makeover, but it's still very informal and welcoming, and the courtyard is truly charming, but unfortunately we didn't have the chance to dine outside. The prices are fair. The staff is friendly and attentive, although they did go a bit overboard at the end of the service with loud singing, literally preventing us from exchanging a few words with our guests... perhaps it was a polite invitation to leave. The only other flaw is that there are virtually no vegetarian options, and none at all for vegan options.

19/10/2025: I love snails, both sea and land, but unfortunately they're not easy to find in Sassuolo and the surrounding area. The place is quaint and welcoming, the service is fast and very friendly. My wife and I had fried snails, stewed snails with polenta, bourguignonne, and then pumpkin tortelli, sbrisolona cake, and coffee. Everything was fine for us. I'm looking at around €40 each. It's worth an hour's drive. Congratulations 👍

29/06/2025: The ideal restaurant for a couple's dinner. It ranges from 'cacio e pepe' to 'ramen', a mix of Italian and oriental cuisine, all accompanied by a wide selection of fine wines. A warm and welcoming environment embellished by a beautiful wall bookcase that makes the atmosphere a bit similar to that of a literary café. There are also tables outside. Convenient parking spaces on the street. (it is an internal road with no traffic at all). The bill is really honest.

19/10/2025: Try the cured meats appetizer (delicious culaccia and coppa) with fried gnocco (what in Parma they call torta fritta). The rice with puntèl, with frogs, with psína and saltaréi (river shrimp) are delicious. The sliced ​​beef is tender and tasty. The wine list is excellent! Well done!

09/10/2025: First time at this restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised! Everything was perfect! From the location, to the customer service, and the attention to detail in the dishes. The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and friendly. The food was delicious and of high quality. We will definitely be back. The owner's dog was so sweet🥰

16/10/2025: I had trusted the many positive reviews, but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. Perhaps the chef wasn't in good shape, but the horse stew was terrible, with a slice of cold, tasteless polenta underneath. The trio of first courses, which included riso pilota, tortelli amari with butter and sage, and angolocino al ragù, were the only redeeming features. A shame; again, perhaps the chef was having a bad night. Impeccable service.

13/10/2025: Here you can find dishes from the true Mantuan tradition, on the other hand the place has existed for a long time and there must be a reason... The service is a little slow but it's worth waiting a bit, it probably depends on the fact that they prepare the dishes freshly made and are not frozen and reheated. The environment is small and you need to book but it offers an informal atmosphere where even customers feel at ease and relax. The agnoli in broth that I ordered are truly handmade, like grandma's. Honest prices. I highly recommend the bignolata as sweet, amazing, with that Marsala zabaglione it is memorable!

20/10/2025: The restaurant overlooks the city's main square and has two rooms, one of which is a cozy, enclosed veranda with a wood-burning stove to heat the space. We ate well, featuring traditional Mantuan dishes and home cooking. The tagliatelle with duck ragù were excellent, as were the sbrisolona and tagliatelle cake for dessert. The prices were fair. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'll be back!
