I think they should change the type of dessert... it's better to serve the typical Mantuan desserts made by the bakery next door... I can say they only provide top-notch service because Andrea, the head waiter, is here. I think people only come here because of him... if he were to leave, they'd lose the local Mantua clientele who already undervalue the place due to its fame... it works because it's downtown and there are tourists passing through. Because the other elderly Sicilian lady was acting strangely, standing outside and saying it wasn't her job to bring drinks, bread, etc., and she doesn't know the dishes or wines... who knows what merits she's here for? But even though her job is to seat people, she does it in a disorganized way. She says "sit down," but then people stand around trying to figure out what they're talking about... until the head waiter seats them... and she's looking at her phone instead... 03/03/2026: My partner and I went for dinner on a Monday night. We have to highlight Andree's excellent service! He was very attentive and friendly, played music according to our tastes, and gave us great recommendations. The food was good, could be improved, but good nonetheless. We will definitely return, especially because of the excellent service!
