01/05/2026: We had lunch at Trattoria di Coronate for my mom's birthday: we felt at home from the first moment, with excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Excellent food, an extensive wine list, and a welcoming atmosphere. It was worth the hour-long drive to eat at this truly lovely location. Thanks for making my mom's birthday special!

18/03/2026: I've been eating here for years, and whenever we have an important event to celebrate, we rely on them. From anniversaries to birthdays and holidays, Trattoria di Coronate has NEVER disappointed us. The menu is traditional yet gourmet. I always order the Mondeghili (pictured), and they're the absolute best, even better than those I've had in restaurants in Milan. A hidden gem nestled in the countryside around Morimondo, the warmth of the wonderful farmhouse-style rooms, with period furnishings and a true rural feel, is exceptional. The warmth envelops the pleasantness of the place, thanks also to the wonderful service and kindness of the staff, always friendly and helpful. In short, a place worth visiting, with so much history and excellent cuisine.

The ossobuco was carefully cooked, tender and flavorful, and paired well with the saffron rice. The glass of Sauvignon was also good, fresh and in keeping with the menu. The location is quirky yet elegant, with a very Italian feel. Impeccable service.

12/03/2026: Beautiful trattoria in Montevecchia (Lecco), Via Belvedere 39. Typical food, including from the Alpine valleys. Venison, roe deer, ostrich, and snails. I chose: gnocchi with cream, braised venison with polenta. Lupone Terre Lariane 2020 IGT wine. Visit to the nearby sanctuary.

07/04/2026: A delightful discovery: beautiful location, ample parking, well-decorated rooms, very good, beautifully presented dishes. The gnocchi with nettles in veal sauce were delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive to their guests' needs.

16/11/2025: Highly recommended. Everything was delicious, from the welcome to the service. The traditional menu features Mondeghili, cotechino, tripe, chicken alla diavola, and Milanese cutlet. Everything was delicious, the cutlet was so delicious, and the tripe brought back memories of Christmas Eve when I was a kid. The wine list was really well-crafted, with more than fair markups and a wide selection of some truly unusual French wines. Truly excellent. I'd been wanting to try it for a long time, and we finally got around to it.

The menu features authentic, beautifully presented local dishes, and an excellent selection of wines, including by the glass. The prices are reasonable for the quality. We were so pleased we returned two nights in a row.

10/03/2026: Came in on a Sunday and it was chaos- clearly short-staffed as most restaurants these days. Service was for the most part positive and they are accommodating also to groups with less accessibility. However, the food was over-priced for the quality... appetizer plate laughable and pasta dishes were mediocre but still left hungry (after dropping 70EUR on a very modest lunch). Also got a bottle of wine (I recognized a couple of noteworthy labels on the shelves; unfortunately staff was not knowledgable about their wine list), but not stored in great condition so the fruit was pretty flat. Pity, as the idea of a trattoria in this area has a lot of potential.

Family-run business is a huge plus: you can sense their attention to customer service, their passion for their work, and their pride in carrying on tradition. The dishes are plentiful, beautifully presented, and above all, rich in flavor. The value for money is excellent; it's truly difficult to find such a perfect balance between quality ingredients, quantity, and final price. The service is impeccable: attentive, fast, and always friendly. You feel welcomed with a smile from start to finish, and that really makes the difference. In conclusion, Trattoria dei Cacciatori is a place I highly recommend to anyone who loves traditional Northern Italian cuisine, good meat, and authentic flavors. An experience that warms the heart as well as the stomach. I'll definitely be back!
