04/08/2026: We had dinner for two at this little restaurant in Bordighera Alta. The atmosphere was magnificent and romantic under the stone arcades amidst the narrow streets of this medieval town. The owner is truly gracious and knows how to entertain her guests. The food is good, the portions generous, and the price fair. Highly recommended, but book in advance because there aren't many seats; in the summer, they only eat outside. We ordered three appetizers, one main course, a glass of wine, two waters, dessert, and a cover charge, and spent €88.

02/08/2026: We were confident despite the change in management and the mixed reviews. Unfortunately, despite having booked well in advance, we were given a table for two even though there were four of us... oh well. The appetizers weren't bad, but the main courses were a real disaster! The staff was nice and helpful, but definitely could be better on all fronts.

16/05/2026: We stumbled upon it by chance for dinner and it was a lovely discovery: excellent food, very well prepared and tasty (borage ravioli and octopus tentacle). The welcome was more than warm: the owner even provided us with valuable information for our travel itinerary! We recommend it 👌

07/05/2026: Osteria del Cavolo is a beautiful little place in Finale Borgo, run by a lovely husband and wife who made us feel at home... we will be back, the food was very, very good.

20/05/2026: A restaurant with a lovely veranda serving tasty traditional dishes. It's located at the entrance to Portovenere, right across from the ferry dock. I went there for lunch with my wife and had stuffed mussels and mussel farinata, both very good. Wide selection of wines. Average prices. Very friendly staff.

14/06/2026: Intimate place, light background music, retro, old-fashioned shop-like feel, very, very pleasant. We had two spaghetti ignoranti with anchovies, pistachios, and lemon, really well done, 10/10. Definitely worth making at home. The house wine is also good. The staff is kind and attentive. Congratulations, we will definitely be back.

09/06/2026: We only had the first course and dessert. The spaghetti ignoranti were too salty, even though they had anchovies, and drowned in oil. The dessert was good, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The place is small and quaint, but with limited seating, it's best to reserve.

16/07/2026: The food is very good and very Italian (if your sick of the tourist type by this stage of your journey) .. the prices are reasonable for what is intended to be regional fine dining and the staff -and chat GPT-explain it perfectly .. there is not much in the way of view, fancy setting or Fitout , but for food and warmth .. they have a lot to offer

11/08/2026: We went for dinner for my boyfriend's birthday and had a great time. The atmosphere was romantic, the seafood was delicious, and the quality was in line with the price. Excellent service. The seafood dishes were delicious and innovative. I'd recommend adding a few more non-seafood dishes, especially for the appetizers.

03/05/2026: After ordering at 9:30 PM, we waited an hour and a half and received nothing. Out of politeness, we weren't even offered an appetizer while we waited, and the bread basket arrived empty, with only packaged breadsticks. We left the table at 11:00 PM without having eaten anything and left. A terrible experience, not recommended.

02/07/2026: "Homemade" is definitely the right adjective to describe this trattoria. Food is homemade by the owner's sister; the staff is welcoming, respectful, and friendly; the food is excellent (the portions are perhaps a little small for the price, but the quality justifies it). The only flaw: there's no fixed menu and the printed version is only provided for pricing purposes, so before deciding what to order, it's best to ask the waiter for a list of available dishes. The melt-in-your-mouth pesto mandilli are highly recommended. I'd love to return!

14/08/2026: I stopped in for lunch and was very pleased: the food was excellent, the prices were more than fair considering the area, and the service was very fast and friendly; I highly recommend it.

10/08/2026: The food is reheated, when we wanted to add salt to the food the lid fell off and all the salt fell into the salad, the food was served one by one, and the potatoes got cold by the time my schnitzel was served, everything was very bad. The food was served very slowly and at the end when I asked for 2 more beers, they were brought after I asked for the bill. I do not recommend this restaurant in any case!!!

31/05/2026: An embarrassing experience, to say the least. We made a reservation for four people at 8:30 PM. We ordered a "surprise" appetizer from the chef, consisting of five courses, followed by a first course, three second courses, and a bottle of wine. After we were seated, about 40 minutes passed without even the bread arriving. Meanwhile, we tried several times to get the waitress's attention, only to receive a hasty "I'm coming, I'm coming" with no follow-up. Finally, the first tastings began to arrive, the bread as dry as can be, and the so-called "surprise" appetizer: a small plate of oysters that were anything but fresh, three pickled anchovies, and one with marinated salmon. Cold, simple dishes, but served at ridiculously slow times. By 10:00 PM, an hour and a half after our arrival, we had only eaten these courses and an entrée of crostini with ricotta and a few bites of cold meatloaf. At that point, tired of the wait and the poor quality of the food, we asked to pay for our order and leave. The response was surreal: we were told that the next courses were already being prepared. Too bad there were still several appetizer courses to go. It was hard to understand how the first and second courses were already ready when the appetizers hadn't even been served yet. We made it clear that we wanted to leave anyway. No one asked us what went wrong, no one apologized for the wait, no one tried to find a solution. The waitress, visibly annoyed, walked away and shortly after returned with the second courses, placing them on the table despite us having clearly stated that we no longer wanted them. To our further explanation, she replied in a pedantic tone: "We don't throw away food here," leaving the dishes on the table. For completeness: the trofie with pesto was cold and incredibly salty, while one of the fish courses was completely bland. At 10:30 PM, we were still there, without receiving a single apology for the delay, the service, or the handling of the situation. The final gem arrived when the bill arrived. After paying around 98 euros for only part of the appetizers and the wine, the chef allowed himself to comment, "Have you eaten?" and, to our response, added, "Well, sure, it was free," insinuating that we were trying to take advantage of the situation. In over two hours, we ate very little, poorly, and were treated arrogantly from start to finish. We left the restaurant hungry and went for pizza elsewhere. Unacceptable wait times, disappointing food quality, a total lack of customer service, and simply embarrassing handling of criticism. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a restaurant.
