04/11/2025: Everything is as it once was, many, many years ago, but perhaps a little more light would be needed, friendly Ligurian-style management, I would say that the portions, being a trattoria, might not be worthy of a starred restaurant.... It wouldn't go to waste, we really ate very little for a village trattoria and paid like a restaurant at lunchtime, the price for a first course, second course without side dish sweet and bitter (offered) and a bottle of Oltrepo Pavese wine is €30 per person. Anyway, I recommend it.

17/05/2026: I had lunch at Lo Stella restaurant in Portofino and was truly thrilled. The dishes were incredibly fresh, with authentic flavors and a quality that shone through in every course. I ate wonderfully: everything was carefully crafted, from the fish to the presentation. The service was also impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, perfect for enjoying a special lunch in Portofino. Highly recommended, I'll gladly return!
17/05/2026: Very disappointed with this restaurant. The prices are very high for the tiny portions. The service is adequate, but the value for money is simply not there. It has a lovely location in Portofino, but that's not enough to justify the bill. I don't recommend it. It's clearly a tourist trap.

The service can be slow at times because the dishes are freshly prepared, so there's a wait between courses. The waitress is good, but she can't do more.
The restaurant is small but welcoming, nestled in the beautiful Borgo Castello area of Loano, at the foot of the Sanctuary of Mount Carmel, an abbey of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers.
11/01/2026: Very warm and familiar welcome, attentive and courteous service, very good and tasty dishes, the rabbit is worth mentioning for its goodness!!!

2 desserts
2 coffees
1/2 liter of horrible red wine.
It seems a bit excessive.
