Enjoy a family-style welcome from the friendly and affable owner Pippo and his young, expert staff. Spectacular views of the valley await you, as you savor flavorful dishes and time-honored recipes, such as appetizers with cured meats, vegetable pies, and other delicacies. Hand-crafted first courses include ravioli with ragù and pansoti with walnut sauce, followed by tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, lasagnette, or trofie with pesto. For main courses, the house specialty is a rich Italian-style fritto misto, enough to feed two. Meat lovers will appreciate Piedmontese Fassona tartare, roast beef with herbs, veal with tuna sauce, Ligurian-style rabbit with olives, battered cod with panissette, fried focaccia filled with cheese, fried porcini mushrooms, and more. Classic desserts like tiramisu, grandma's pudding with chocolate sauce, panna cotta, and a classic tart with homemade fruit compote. The wine cellar offers a wide selection of select wines, including house wines. Generous dishes and reasonable prices! The entire group was satisfied!

While some dishes are well-crafted, the service is unprofessional and unbecoming of the restaurant's category: paper napkins and unnerving waits even just to order dessert, only to receive a knife while the plate cools. The quality-price ratio is unbalanced.

17/05/2026: Very disappointed with this restaurant. The prices are very high for the tiny portions. The service is adequate, but the value for money is simply not there. It has a lovely location in Portofino, but that's not enough to justify the bill. I don't recommend it. It's clearly a tourist trap.

17/05/2026: I had lunch at Lo Stella restaurant in Portofino and was truly thrilled. The dishes were incredibly fresh, with authentic flavors and a quality that shone through in every course. I ate wonderfully: everything was carefully crafted, from the fish to the presentation. The service was also impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, perfect for enjoying a special lunch in Portofino. Highly recommended, I'll gladly return!

10/04/2026: Tonight we had a guest from out of town and we made a great impression with our tastings of focaccia, cheese focaccia, farinata, and pizza with crescenza! The prices were so fair that no one would have guessed they'd gotten it right. The cheese focaccia is light and super digestible! Highly recommended.

21/05/2026: Absolutely terrible. The food is not even close to worth the price. On top of that as I was eating, a young pregnant woman came in to use the bathroom clearly a emergency situation. And the owner followed her into the bathroom and bang on the bathroom door until she opened it and scolded her, yelling at her in front of everyone "how dare you" for using the bathroom before becoming a customer. And continued to yell and berate her. The girl left in tears. Absolutely disgusting. Everywhere I've seen in Italy seems to be the most baby friendly country in Europe. The owner here is absolutely disgusting. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS

04/05/2026: We were a table of eight friends for dinner on the evening of May 2nd. They confirmed our table at 8:30 PM and told us we'd be seated outside. The seating was on the street, under the restaurant's awning. When they took our order, they informed us there would be a short wait. The "short wait" turned out to be an hour and a half, with the discomfort of being exposed to temperatures between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius, without even a heat source to comfort the environment. With this review, we compliment you on the cuisine, but we advise you not to be greedy with customers. Those you seat outside these days, be professional, either serve them within humanly acceptable times or tell them you don't have the resources to serve them decently. Thank you!

26/03/2026: It was our first time in Sanremo, and we were looking for a place to dine near our accommodation. This place was recommended to us. It's a very well-kept and extremely clean place, and above all, a very quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The owner is very kind, and the Ligurian dishes are very carefully prepared and excellent. Special mention goes to the zucchini tart, the Albenga artichokes, and the stuffed anchovies. Overall, everything was excellent. We'll definitely return and highly recommend it.
