28/10/2025: Terrible value for money. Bland dishes with no presentation whatsoever. Not even worthy of a school cafeteria. Negligible portions. We had to go to another restaurant immediately afterward to actually eat.

03/11/2025: The gluten-free pizza was really good, with artisanal dough that was well-cooked and flavorful! The staff was very friendly and the location was very welcoming.

19/04/2025: Ragazzi giovani e cordiali, piatti semplici ma decisamente gustosi, una farinata CLA MO RO SA. Il locale ha cambiato gestione qualche tempo fa (così ci ha raccontato il proprietario, che dopo aver faticato tutta la sera al forno si è fermato con noi a chiacchierare) e ora lo staff è composto da personale decisamente under 30. Abbiamo preso due porzioni di farinata, un antipasto, un primo, due secondi e un dolce. Con mezzo litro di Bianco della Casa (tra l’altro, proprio niente male) abbiamo speso un totale di 85 € in due. Per me, onestissimo. I ragazzi lavorano con attenzione e con il sorriso: si vede e si sente anche nei piatti. Continuate così!

26/05/2025: Posizione gradevole, peccato che non si possa dire lo stesso del servizio. Antipasto, tagliere di salumi: decente. Primi (ravioli a u Tuccu e gnocchi al ragù) che avrebbero avuto bisogno di un po' più di "Tuccu" e di ragù. Proviamo a chiedere una mezza porzione di secondo...ma non comprendono il concetto di mezza porzione. Infine il dolce...chiesta una mousse ai frutti di bosco .. è arrivata una cheese cake con base di Pan di spagna. Conto: rapporto qualità prezzo...insufficiente. Fate voi.

07/10/2025: It's with great regret that we have to give this a negative review. Three friends and I returned after a year, and all three of us felt sick. We ate anchovies, tuna tartare (strange smell), seafood salad with 3-4 shrimp and squid, and uncooked, pickled tuna tuna, with lots of balsamic vinegar to mask the flavor, and mixed fried fish. Sleepless night, stomach upset... We paid €36 each, but be careful, as the quality and service have definitely deteriorated. Be careful with your health; you shouldn't mess around with fish.

Despite this, Trattoria Luigin remains a recommended stop for those seeking to savor Ligurian cuisine in a familiar and welcoming atmosphere.

07/09/2025: The worst seafood pasta you can taste in Italy. As a sauce in this pasta we had just a piece of butter. Also serving a seafood pasta where half of the shells are closed shows a lot about the cooks talants. Any other pasta in any other place will be way better for that price and even lower. Appetizers from chef will make you laugh. Service and place are fine. Food is awful, avoid it in any case. Strongly reccomend you to visit any other place nearby.

07/10/2025: We found this restaurant open unlike many others on this Tuesday lunchtime. We had quick service before other travelers arrived :) The pasta was good and the portion was okay (for me) but I think some people would appreciate it if there was more. A bit pricey overall.

24/08/2025: I was a little disappointed. Traditional Ligurian and Piedmontese dishes. Good quality, but the portions weren't very generous. They gave us freshly baked Fugassini as a taster. We had an appetizer, Ligurian-style rabbit, and roast beef. Fair price.

23/06/2025: Ambiente familiare, personale gentile. Pesce di buona qualità, mi sarei aspettato di più dalle trenette al pesto (un filo scotte e pesto molto fine). Prezzi abbordabili: Antipasto, 1 primo, 1 secondo, 1 calice di vino 1 bottiglia acqua = 27€ a testa)

05/03/2025: We stumbled upon this place thanks to a Google search. It was a real surprise!! We were a little hesitant after seeing some of the reviews, but we were rewarded with something completely different! Excellent food, impeccable service, delightful atmosphere. Highly recommended!

20/06/2025: People complaining about the prices at Puny must think they’re in a beach shack somewhere in rural Italy—not in Portofino, one of the poshest places in the country. This isn’t your local pizzeria in a tiny village—it’s Puny, the iconic spot right on the harbor. Expecting a €10 pasta here is like walking into Chanel and asking for a discount on a handbag. I also assume those people haven’t been to places like St. Tropez, St. Moritz, Ibiza, or Mykonos—where prices are often MUCH higher. For where you are and what you get, I think it’s more than fair. The food? Classic Ligurian and seriously delicious. The staff? Super sharp and genuinely kind—we had a gluten-intolerant child with us, and they handled it with incredible care and attention. The owner is out-going and entertaining, and then there’s my favorite: Renato! So kind, and impressively fluent in many languages. I’ve personally seen Madonna, Diane von Fürstenberg and Jeff Bezos here. I have friends who stop with their boats in Portofino only to have lunch at Puny. This place is basically where celebrities and foodies casually enjoy their “Pappardelle Portofino.” If you want the real Portofino experience—amazing food, top-tier people-watching, and a taste of glam—Puny is the place. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, casual dinner… this isn’t your spot. Simple as that. PS: If I could only give one advice: a few more healthy and interesting vegetarian options would be wonderful and very much appreciated!

20/06/2025: The restaurant has great food and great service!!! The place looks great but the only problem is it’s too packed up, I mean the tables are TOO close to each other.

22/10/2025: It doesn't even deserve one star. We went one evening without a reservation. The place wasn't full; there were still plenty of tables available both inside and outside (considering it's a small street, that's all). We were told that everything outside was booked, but then the lady—probably the owner—came in and rudely informed us that there was no room inside either. We booked for the following evening, and my friend politely asked to reserve a table outside. The lady responded with a firm NO, saying that they have "regulars" who always get priority. Apparently, the lady doesn't know how to treat customers or find new ones. Obviously, we haven't returned, and we never will!

13/10/2025: I don't recommend it to anyone, don't spend little, badly cooked fish, I asked for a fish appetizer and there was capricciosa anchovies with bread, butter and anchovies, shrimps with cocktail sauce, washed out with sand under the teeth, and 1 stuffed sardine, and a mixed fried seafood platter where I was told there were squid, shrimps, and anchovies, and there was a shrimp, 1 stuffed anchovy, and 4 fried anchovies and squid, but the taste wasn't the best, the waitress was huffing and puffing, and two German customers were translating even though there was a translation, and she complained to me, 1 glass of wine and a half of sparkling water, then I got up and paid 39 euros, mind-blowing... and I'm in the business.

27/07/2025: Location incantevole. Proprio sul lungomare di Monterosso e all’inizio della passeggiate che porta a Vernazza. Mangiare al tramonto qui è una esperienza veramente da vivere. Il servizio è alla mano e di tipo turistico così come il menù e la mise en place La qualità del cibo è elevato e a mio avviso potrebbero fare con un piccolo sforzo un grande salto di qualità Comunque consigliato
