18/02/2026: What a shame, really. An excellent culinary offering, featuring all the signature dishes of Ligurian cuisine, was literally thrown away due to the disorganization in the dining room and the resulting biblical waits before being served. I've been to this restaurant several times in the same week because I was staying in Chiavari for personal reasons. Whether it was a busy weekend or a quiet weekday, the common denominator has always been the slow service: a plate of ravioli, a veal cutlet with chips, and a dessert served in an average of an hour and a half. It's a shame, because the price is also highly competitive. The waiter is also smart and fast, but the problem clearly lies between him and the kitchen. I can't explain it any other way. Anyway, I repeat, in case you haven't figured it out, the food is very good.

19/01/2026: Delicious dishes. We ordered fried and grilled fish, fries, and two desserts. The portions weren't exactly generous, but everything was delicious and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the kitchen was extremely slow, and it wasn't possible to leave two people (the girl was brilliant!) to set up the tables, welcome and direct customers, clear the tables, take orders, serve, and, last but not least...cashier! I sincerely hope she gets paid her dues. All this on a day with a thousand-year-old fair just a few meters away, so it was expected to be packed! An hour and a half wait from when we sat down to when they started serving us was way too long. Of course, something you only see in Liguria, the bread didn't arrive until halfway through lunch—just in case you consume too much while waiting. I highly recommend it because the food is truly delicious, but perhaps it's better to go during the week or on days when you're sure you won't find more than three or four tables occupied.

17/02/2026: A wonderful restaurant experience within a hotel. The atmosphere is casual yet refined and welcoming. Ligurian and Piedmontese dishes are served, along with a good selection of wines. We tried a bit of everything, but the tagliolini with rabbit ragù and the appetizers were particularly noteworthy. The prices are fair, and the owner is very friendly.

23/08/2025: A wonderful restaurant in a fabulous setting, at the foot of a small church. Everything we ate was delicious, as was the wine. The owner is very friendly. I recommend it.

07/10/2025: It's with great regret that we have to give this a negative review. Three friends and I returned after a year, and all three of us felt sick. We ate anchovies, tuna tartare (strange smell), seafood salad with 3-4 shrimp and squid, and uncooked, pickled tuna tuna, with lots of balsamic vinegar to mask the flavor, and mixed fried fish. Sleepless night, stomach upset... We paid €36 each, but be careful, as the quality and service have definitely deteriorated. Be careful with your health; you shouldn't mess around with fish.

24/02/2026: The chef is the waiter, the dishwasher, and the sommelier. A unique and simple place where the choice depends on what Giovanni has prepared: a few items, expertly prepared, and truly delicious. He confided in us that he doesn't cook for more than 12 people; he's not a mercenary, but a man of experience.

01/03/2026: Changed management if they don't get their act together...unclear prices just like a receipt?? Sardenaira is good, but they make good ones elsewhere too!!

22/10/2025: It doesn't even deserve one star. We went one evening without a reservation. The place wasn't full; there were still plenty of tables available both inside and outside (considering it's a small street, that's all). We were told that everything outside was booked, but then the lady—probably the owner—came in and rudely informed us that there was no room inside either. We booked for the following evening, and my friend politely asked to reserve a table outside. The lady responded with a firm NO, saying that they have "regulars" who always get priority. Apparently, the lady doesn't know how to treat customers or find new ones. Obviously, we haven't returned, and we never will!

13/10/2025: I don't recommend it to anyone, don't spend little, badly cooked fish, I asked for a fish appetizer and there was capricciosa anchovies with bread, butter and anchovies, shrimps with cocktail sauce, washed out with sand under the teeth, and 1 stuffed sardine, and a mixed fried seafood platter where I was told there were squid, shrimps, and anchovies, and there was a shrimp, 1 stuffed anchovy, and 4 fried anchovies and squid, but the taste wasn't the best, the waitress was huffing and puffing, and two German customers were translating even though there was a translation, and she complained to me, 1 glass of wine and a half of sparkling water, then I got up and paid 39 euros, mind-blowing... and I'm in the business.

21/03/2026: Terrible, unfortunately, good food, but be careful with the bill, they don't show you specifically, they give you a total not even with a receipt but only a POS charged by about 25/30% more than what you should have paid!! Big scam, kind but fake!!!!

16/03/2026: The waiter was very kind, and despite the late hour, he seated us. The food wasn't great, and unfortunately, the bill was an unpleasant surprise: €170 for three risottos, two artichokes, some anchovies, and two desserts seems excessive, like a Michelin-starred restaurant. I'll never go back, and I don't recommend it.

14/03/2026: I do not recommend this place. We came to Dindi Trattoria as a group of six people. We politely suggested a table where we would like to sit, but the waiter was very rude. He told us that we must sit separately and did not try to help us find a good place together. Because of his behavior, we decided to leave and not stay in the restaurant. It was a very unpleasant experience, so I would not recommend this place to others.

08/03/2026: Never again. I sat here with a friend for breakfast, and we were served when it was almost lunchtime, so instead of having a big breakfast, we opted for a quick juice and then went nearby for lunch. Terrible service. We watched the shift change for how long we'd been waiting, only waiting to time it because it had become a meme. The waiter who'd seen us sit didn't bother serving us even though he'd cleared the nearby tables. In the end, the waitress who came on shift after him served us. About an hour after we sat down. Absurd. But the icing on the cake: a few months after my episode, my father is back here today to bring some of his friends for coffee while visiting Genoa, because objectively the place is also nice, only to be told that "they don't serve coffee on Sundays because it's not worth it and they'll lose more customers"... this is truly absurd.
