07/04/2026: We went for dinner on Easter Sunday, (4 people), and the food was very good. The service was impeccable, professional and friendly. The quality/price ratio was excellent. Definitely recommended.

04/04/2026: Beautiful hotel with truly comfortable rooms and a kitchenette. A studio apartment at a great price, perfect for combining a night with an excellent dinner at the adjacent restaurant. A well-kept courtyard surrounds these spaces, both palate-pleasing and relaxing. For 40 years, San Daniele has provided me with a simple yet intense experience, always satisfying. Restaurant: In a welcoming, refined yet family-friendly atmosphere, excellent prosciutto, aged 24 or 36 months, cooked with superb horseradish, excellent pickled vegetables and frico. Courtesy, prompt service, and the cleanliness, order, and quality are certainly excellent here. I enjoyed the house Friulano Bianco, which paired perfectly with the prosciutto. San Daniele remains a unique gem, and the DOCG prosciutto deserves UNESCO World Heritage recognition. For these reasons, I declare myself absolutely anti-global. Long live Italy, an extraordinary food and wine paradise.

09/04/2026: The particularly negative aspect of the service doesn't concern the waitresses, who were always kind, attentive, and prompt. What completely ruined the atmosphere was the owner's utter rudeness at checkout. Personalities like this are exactly what damages a restaurant. I also recommend considering renovating the restrooms. The extremely dated squat toilets are a sign of a complete disregard for the guests' needs, as well as a striking example of the "minimum effort for maximum results" concept. As for the food itself, the quality has more or less remained the same over the years. A real shame, especially since the restaurant also enjoys an excellent view from the outside.

02/05/2026: A quaint restaurant near Villa Manin. The menu features traditional local dishes, but we weren't entirely impressed.

21/04/2026: The food and service were excellent, as were the wines (both house wines and bottled). We finished with complimentary grappa and bitters. I particularly appreciated the fact that, unlike many other restaurants, the five of us were served at the same time, avoiding having to keep other diners waiting for their dishes.

04/05/2026: What can I say, as a company, we've had so many hotels with rooms that were very superficially arranged and But in this family-run hotel, Between the kindness and helpfulness, not to mention the professionalism demonstrated by Paolo, who, in addition to being the owner, spends every day with the kids and staff. I'm happy that there are still people who know what "UNION" means: TO BE A TEAM, BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST, A FAMILY. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STAFF AND EVERYONE. THE PROPERTY IS EXCELLENT, EVEN FOR ITS LOCATION FOR GETTING AROUND THE CITY CENTER WITH A STOP RIGHT UNDER THE HOTEL.

11/04/2026: On the recommendation of our landlords, we went to Ai Frati, and it was a disappointment from the start. Our reservation wasn't on file, both pasta dishes were over-seasoned and salty, the amuse-bouche was just okay, and the grilled fish platter was, how should I put it... an outrage. Everything was completely overcooked, and the salad arrived as dessert. Never again! There are plenty of great osterias in Udine with authentic dishes, not to mention the prices.

29/03/2026: We stopped for lunch after a walk and were amazed by the beautiful location of the place where we could eat. The dishes are very good. Obviously, quality comes at a price, but in this case the prices are in line with the quality. Another plus is that you can bring your dog, although we ate outside because there was no seating inside. A positive experience.

27/04/2026: Everything was very good, the service was excellent, the waiter was precise and always had polite answers. Perhaps some background music, even classical, would be nice, just to cover the awkward moments of total silence in the room.

08/01/2026: The food was good, the place was beautiful. I'd been there before for business dinners. It's a shame they ended up losing out on €1.50. There were 15 of us, four families, and the bill came to €29.10 each. We told the cashier so, and rounded it up to €29. He pays for the first course (€29 x €4), he pays for the second course, ditto, he pays for the third course, the same, he pays for the fourth course, and the lady charges him €1.50... We looked at each other and laughed. Not to mention that they didn't even offer us a liqueur at the end, as is usually the case, but that's part of the hospitality of the people, but rightly so, what do I expect from someone who takes €1.50 off a bill of over €400?

05/02/2026: Dinner for two, also great for small groups. Reservations are essential to ensure your spot. The place is small and charming, the manager is very attentive and friendly, the food is excellent, and parking is adequate for the size of the place. Highly recommended!

26/04/2026: There is a reserved sign on the tables. No guests can sit down, it would disturb almost everyone. We discussed with the waiter that we only came for drinks and that we would finish our coffee and beer in 15 minutes. That way we could sit down. So there were no guests, we managed to bring out the drinks in 11 minutes.

12/04/2026: The food quality (typical Friulian) is decent. Welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Medium-high prices.

08/03/2026: Very welcoming place, the food is good, and well-served. What I personally can't stand is the terrible acoustics in the room. There were 11 of us for dinner, and we couldn't communicate with those closest to us at the table.

22/02/2026: I must say, this place really surprised us with its dishes, the friendliness of the staff, and the discreet atmosphere. Each dish preserves the essence of every ingredient, cooked with artistry and passion. I've eaten dishes of this caliber in restaurants with Michelin stars, and this one undoubtedly deserves them. 15/03/2026: Friendly, everything very good but nothing exceptional, so much so that I honestly don't see any point in the heavy surcharge.

12/03/2026: Definitely, considering the food itself: plating, quality, and quantity... too expensive. Friendly staff, beautiful interior... then we had a long wait between the first and second courses... forgotten? So much so that the table next to ours complained about it. The desserts were on a trolley, right in the middle of the room, warm and without any covering... I might add, an entrecote of maybe 100/130g... €35. Not good enough!
