Very classic authentic cuisine, deliciously prepared. Excellent service and that for a fair price. Located in a historic building with beautiful surroundings.

We had a great dinner, each course was absolutly delicious, all with the right wine, in a great atmosphere with perfect service. We will defiantly come again 😊

A rustic yet elegant restaurant in the heart of Cividale del Friuli. We had lunch for two, with a reservation in advance, which I highly recommend given the place's popularity. The staff who looked after us the entire time were excellent, with a capital G. Before starting, we ordered two glasses of Traminer, and the staff spontaneously offered us a warm welcome from the kitchen. Next, as an appetizer, we had asparagus mousse with a slow-cooked egg and toasted bread. For main courses, I opted for the wild boar braised in red wine with chocolate sauce, while my wife chose the Tournedos del Monastero, a special beef fillet served with Refosco sauce. For the side, we shared a portion of baked potatoes. To accompany the meal, in addition to sparkling water, we ordered two glasses of the house Cabernet Franc. We finished on a high note with dessert: pistachio parfait for me and a dark chocolate and pear cylinder for my wife. Everything was excellent and beautifully presented. The only complaint was that the wait for the appetizers was perhaps a bit too long. The prices are a bit high, in my opinion, but the quality of the ingredients and the dishes is truly top-notch. A final note: when we got the bill (€106 total), they gave us two complimentary samples of Domenis 1898 grappa. Recommended!

this is a great place. Multi-generational family who clearly take pride in their space, their food, and customers' experience. and a fun collection of antique motos from their patriarch!

An exceptional lunch, to say the least. In a charming location. The staff was friendly, discreet, kind, and helpful. I tried the blueberry risotto with lard and saffron cream, fabulous. As a starter, beetroot carpaccio with goat cheese, walnuts, and sesame seeds was fabulous. A glass of wine and for dessert, Cuban pasta with strucchi and sligoviza... coffee, water... the price is worth it... congratulations.
