A lovely, characteristic little place with a splendid garden for outdoor summer dinners, good food at excellent prices.

Very good quality/price ratio. A variety of dishes: starters like lasagna with ragù, asparagus, radicchio, and sausage. Second courses include tagliata, frico, herb omelette, and much more.

Excellent traditional dishes in a charming farmhouse

Frasca da Gianni, in Sanguarzo, Cividale, is what it's called if you look it up online, or if you've been there at least once.... They recommended it to me, and finally they took me there.... It's a frasca (a bar) only in name. When you enter through the main door on the street, you don't expect to find such a well-kept, beautiful, and well-maintained environment, with a driveway leading to the entrance. For parking, there's a small parking lot in front of the entrance, with about a dozen spaces or so. Alternatively, you can park about a 5-minute walk from the restaurant, in the villa area, near the playground, on the left of the road coming from Cividale. We were there at the beginning of May, so we sat inside, but in the warmer months, you can sit at the tables outside, sheltered by large umbrellas. Upon entering, there's a large room with several tables, as well as a smaller, slightly more secluded room. The atmosphere is pleasant, clean, and decorated with various pans, copper plates, and other items hanging on the walls and ceiling (I honestly don't mind; seeing all these things intrigues me, making me think of times gone by). The staff was helpful, friendly, and courteous. To avoid missing out, we opted to make a reservation. As soon as we arrived, they sat us at our table, brought us the menu, and immediately notified us of what was no longer available. In our case, we ordered a cheese frico (there's also a version with potatoes and leeks) with a side of boiled potatoes, salami with onion and a side of raw vegetables, bread, two glasses of house red wine, a liter of still water, and two coffees. For a total of €42.60 At the end they also offered us a amaro, a delicious licorice amaro 😋😋 everything was very good...

On our way back from a trip to Slovenia, we stopped by chance for dinner at this spectacular trattoria, with its elegant and well-appointed rustic atmosphere, friendly staff, and very pleasant waitresses. The outdoor summer location is welcoming and original. We ordered the superb potato and leek frico for two, filling and tasty, truly delicious and different from the usual... with steamed and pan-fried vegetables, accompanied by a good house cabernet. Followed by a dessert, gubana, and a puff pastry with vanilla cream and warm blueberries. Everything was excellent; we will definitely return if we pass through the area. Kudos to all the staff!!! A truly remarkable trattoria. The atmosphere is unique and well-curated, the service fast and courteous. Generous portions and well-prepared dishes. We'll definitely be back.

Located near the beautiful village of Cividale del Friuli, very charming and well-maintained. The dishes reflect tradition and the local area. The ingredients were of excellent quality.

A very good restaurant, I recommend it to everyone.
