The ossobucolo risotto was fantastic, and the sliced ​​beef tenderloin was very tasty. The panna cotta dessert was also excellent. With two glasses of wine, the bill came to around 70 euros, but it was worth it.

The pasta was very tasty however the portions aren’t that big so I would recommend to also take a primary dish. We chose the bruschetta and it was good however again there were only 3 pieces. So all together it looks nice and the food is tasty but the portions are small.

Had an amazing experience at Trattoria La Finestrella. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, exactly what you’d hope for in a traditional Italian spot tucked away in the heart of Bologna. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without feeling forced. The food was excellent from start to finish, but the highlight was definitely the dessert — perfectly balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. You can tell they really care about quality and tradition. Overall, a great place for anyone looking to enjoy true Italian cuisine in a cozy setting. Definitely recommended, and I’d happily come back again.

A nice place in the center of Bologna. We dined during the week, and after taking our order, we were forgotten about for a good half hour. After finishing our appetizer, they brought us the first course without clearing our plates first. The total price was a bit high for the food; it was good but nothing special. The service definitely needs improvement.

11/07/2026: We had lunch here on a hot day. We asked to sit inside, so there was a bit of a communication delay, but once we had the server’s attention, all excellent. We were after the local food and wine and both were excellent. Tagliatelle Ragu and tortellini Di brodo.

21/04/2026: The restaurant is over 100 years old and is widely frequented by Italians and residents. It has a pricing system (see photo with prices from April 2026), which varies depending on your choice. Since there was so much food, I ordered the appetizer + second course + a bottle of wine + liqueur; the bill for two people was €125. The service is very good, the food is delicious, high-quality, and quite generous; your table gets full, there are no limits, you eat until you can't anymore, which is why I skipped the first course and dessert. Note: the pecorino cheese in the photo is sensational. They have gluten-free options. The restaurant has become synonymous with excellent and abundant food for me; it's etched in my memory. It's a fantastic gastronomic experience, worth every penny; I would say it's unmissable.
