06/01/2025: Siamo capitati in questo posto dopo aver letto le varie recensioni… ed è stata davvero una bella scoperta! Abbiamo toccato la tradizione con mano tutto contornato da una materia prima davvero di qualità. Ottimi gli antipasti tipici, deliziosa la genovese e la carne si scioglieva in bocca… se vi resta spazio il tiramisù è una chicca… la carta dei vini degna di nota! Complimenti a Lino per la sua ospitalità.

04/12/2024: An authentic experience in Scampitella! On the advice of a friend I went to the Osteria dei Briganti in Scampitella with two friends and I must say that it was a truly pleasant experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with rustic decor that makes you immediately feel at home. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to advise you and satisfy your every request. The menu offers a wide choice of traditional Irpinian dishes, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We started with a house bruschetta, then moved on to 3 courses of appetizers: 1. slices of raw ham, culatello, knots, olives, ricotta, pork sausage and homemade cheese; 2. oven-cooked fennel accompanied by porcini mushrooms, peppers and omelette in addition to the potato and pepper dish; 3. grilled caciocavallo and caciocavallo with porcini mushrooms and truffle. Next we tasted two exceptional first courses: 1. the "scarpariello" or chiatarra troccoli with a particular sauce and homemade cheese (a crazy and incredible pleasure) that leads you to make many delicious shoes; 2. tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffle, a real treat! After the first courses we tasted 2 second courses, one of which was meat with sliced ​​meat and porcini mushrooms (better to have it with rocket and parmesan) and a plate of steamed cod with chilli pepper and fried oil (a magnificent dish!) To conclude we tasted the house tiramisu as well as coffee and ammazza caffè (the barricade). The tavern offers an exceptional wine: His Majesty the Aglianico!, I won't hide from you that the friends "drank" two bottles as if they were water :-D! perfect to accompany dishes. What can I say? Osteria dei Briganti is the perfect place to enjoy true Irpinian cuisine in an authentic and familiar environment. If you are in Scampitella (AV), you cannot miss this culinary experience! It is located 5 minutes from the Vallata motorway exit! Try it to believe it! Highly recommended!

22/12/2024: Very high sense of belonging to one's land!!! This can be seen from the raw materials with which the various dishes are prepared!!! Respect for the Irpinian culinary tradition that you can savor here and of the highest quality present throughout the menu. There is a warm, welcoming atmosphere and at the same time very, very humble like the people of these parts. Spectacular location in one of the most beautiful villages in the Caudina valley. Very good quality/price ratio. Highly recommended!!!

14/12/2024: Locale grazioso su due piani forse un po' angusto. Ottimo il tagliere dei salumi, in particolare prosciutto crudo e mortadella, buoni gli altri antipasti (purè con funghi porcini, trippa con ceci, parmigiana di melanzane, insalata di rinforzo con baccalà). I due primi, pasta e patate e paccheri con pomodorini, buoni senza particolare menzione. Le carni alla brace indubbiamente squisite. Castagne, buon dolce e grappa concludono la felice esperienza. Servizio simpatico ed efficiente, conto onesto. Solo un appunto critico: il bagno è privo di chiusura interna.

29/12/2024: Paterfamilias is located in the historic center of Paternopoli, in the beating heart of Irpinia, one of the most noble and ancient lands in Italy. The structure is housed in the cellars of an ancient palace with arches and tuff walls. Francesco, the owner, is a person who deeply loves the area and makes you feel at home. Excellent quality food and a wine that is a compendium of the entire Irpinia tradition.

The fries were also very good. I definitely recommend booking, especially on Saturdays as it is always very full and the place is not very big. However, the environment is pleasant and the prices are adequate for the quality offered. Advised!

03/01/2025: This Inn really enchanted me! I went here for lunch with friends on New Year's Day. The place is very welcoming and particular praise goes to the service, which is impeccable and highly professional. Even though we created quite a few problems with delays and multiple orders, the staff never lost their calm and were always disarmingly courteous and attentive. The menu is rich and the dishes are executed with skill and well presented, the chef is really good! who at the end of lunch also came to introduce himself and wish him well. Lastly, the bill, much more than honest. Truly a place to return to as soon as possible!!!
