The credit goes first and foremost to the owner of the house, Salvatore Di Feo, a man of natural elegance, impeccable professional and attentive host, who was able to combine tradition and modernity, creating a place where every detail speaks of quality. With his savoir-faire he was also able to welcome me, a food and wine critic, with that touch of style and attention that makes the difference. The selection of wines is excellent, curated with great sensitivity and attention to the territory, as is the selection of cured meats and cheeses, which celebrate the local identity and captivate with authenticity and flavour. The meat, obviously the undisputed protagonist, is chosen with skill, treated with respect and served with passion: a complete gastronomic proposal, capable of enhancing the palate and conveying a true cooking philosophy. A special note goes to the waiter, Massimo, whose kind, sweet and respectful way of serving the tables made the experience even more pleasant. His presence is an example of how even simplicity, when authentic, can become elegance. In the kitchen, Mrs Maria Teresa stands out for her sensitivity and mastery: the side dishes she prepared, simple but rich in flavour, moved me and took me back in time, to the true flavors of my grandmothers' cooking. A cuisine of the heart, which smells of home and tradition. And finally, a fitting tribute to Mrs. Diletta, the lady of the house, the backbone of the company: with her elegant and solid presence, she represents an essential point of reference for the balance and soul of the place. 01/05/2025: Small sign on the road and entrance that looks like the entrance door of a building. But my keen eye for small details allowed me to see it among other even more publicized places. Michele was there to welcome us and he was fantastic, welcoming and attentive. The fixed menus are for every type of budget, you spend little compared to average and you eat very well. The dishes are plentiful and the fresh and delicate flavor of the fish put us in a good mood. It was truly a beautiful experience full of flavors and humanity. I promised Michele that I will come back and do it.

Very good and quality food, I tried both the pizza and some appetizers of fried land and sea. There is a lot of choice for drinks especially wine, since they have a cellar with many types of wine and a sommelier who can advise you very well. Recommended for those who want to spend a nice evening in the company of friends or as a couple or with their family..

27/04/2025: The experience at the Marmotta Restaurant was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with great warmth. Anna, the room manager, personally waited for us in the car park, immediately making us feel like special guests. After a brief presentation of the structure - which is divided into two distinct areas, one dedicated to events and the other to haute cuisine - we sat down in a room with a minimalist, elegant and intimate design, embellished with a few well-spaced tables and a delicate "spring" effect that I particularly appreciated for the comfort and intimate atmosphere it creates. We started the evening with an aperitif recommended by the house: a Trento DOC rosé bubble accompanied by surprising amuse-bouche, among which the creamed fish sandwich between two very thin wafers and hidden in a vase of bay leaves stands out, a small masterpiece of technique and creativity. We then chose the seven-course tasting menu, paired with an Etna Rosso: it was a succession of emotions and discoveries. Each dish told a story, with a cuisine that focuses on the absolute quality of the raw materials, favoring small local producers and highly selected seasonal ingredients. The search for authentic flavors and the ability to enhance them with elegance and respect were evident in every tasting, the result of the creativity and inspiration of chef Domenico and his kitchen team. Special praise also goes to the dining room service, impeccable and never intrusive, professional, attentive and capable of making every moment pleasant and spontaneous. We are grateful for having been able to live this experience of taste, elegance and sincere hospitality. We can't wait to return.

26/05/2025: In the center of Salerno there is this nice restaurant; welcoming and small in size. The staff is kind and prepared. The kitchen is open and we sat right next to it. They have a menu full of proposals. The wine list is also full of proposals. We did not take the first courses but seeing the other tables there were a choice of many. We took a sea bass for three people, a tuna steak, the cuttlefish and the swordfish with some side dishes. Everything well cooked and well presented and very good. In short, a good restaurant to visit if you are in Salerno. Medium-high prices.
