The welcome is always top-notch, enhanced by the smiles of the owner, her dear sister, and her staff. We don't miss the opportunity to stop by and enjoy a tasting.

03/05/2026: The meal went well, the food was high quality, no complaints there. The problem arose when we went to pay. We noticed that the prices on the menu weren't the same as those on the bill, €6 more. The waitress told us the prices on the menu weren't up to date. We made it clear that we were unhappy with this dishonest practice. She came back and said she'd made a gesture and split the difference! How arrogant! We didn't want to make a scene, but if the prices on the menu aren't correct (which I highly doubt), it would be honest to mention it at the beginning of the meal, not at the end. We're tourists (I don't think Italian customers fall victim to this kind of scam), we travel to support you, and this is how you thank us! It's nothing like the previous restaurants where they offered a complimentary digestif! In short, I almost gave it 3 stars, but I respected your work.

06/02/2026: I stopped by chance for dinner. I was on my way to eat elsewhere but entered La Cantina, captivated by the view from the outside and without any prior information. I was greeted by a very kind young woman who was very attentive in understanding exactly what I wanted and who, throughout the dinner, always returned at the right time, never earlier or later. The place did not disappoint the expectations I had formed from the outside, meticulously cared for in every detail, such as on the wall next to my table, a display case with antique mechanical alarm clocks. I ordered an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses and a delicious, slightly spicy jam, then moved on to the first course, tagliolini with white ragù and porcini mushrooms, and finished with a salted caramel cheesecake. Every dish was beautifully presented; the tagliolini with ragù was truly sublime, the white ragù and porcini mushrooms were extraordinary together, and the dessert was also excellent. I will definitely return; I think it's a must-see in Polistena. Price in line with quality and quantity.

20/10/2025: Very friendly and attentive staff. We had ice cream, yogurt with topping, and tiramisu. The dishes were delicious, and we were allowed to sample everything beforehand.

29/12/2025: Once we arrived, I discovered it was a trattoria/bar/B&B, but my experience was limited to the trattoria. I liked the dining room; I found it in keeping with the setting. A fairly positive experience; I really liked some things, like the appetizers and the homemade bread, which I found exceptional. The first courses were good but nothing special, but I didn't like the mixed grill: the meat was overcooked, and the sausage knots were burnt. For dessert, I tried their homemade panettone, a very generous portion; it was also good but nothing exceptional. I found the price above average for a trattoria, but despite this, I recommend the experience.

10/09/2025: We stayed two nights. The property was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The owners were extremely kind and attentive to everything. The food was exceptional. The bread, pastries, and homemade brioches from the attached bakery were truly delicious. Highly recommended.

26/10/2025: ZERO SERIOUSNESS I GO ON THURSDAY APRIL 10TH WHEN I HEARD THAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A BAR ATTENDANT I TALK TO THE OWNER I LEAVE MY CV THE OWNER MAKES ME SPEAK TO THE WORKER WHO IS IN CHARGE OF RECRUITMENT TO SPEAK EVERYTHING WITH HIM ABOUT SHIFT WORK SALARY THAT THE WORKER COULD TELL ME EVERYTHING THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENS TO ME IN MY ENTIRE LIFE ANYWAY I TALK TO THE WORKER AND THE WORKER TOLD ME I'LL HAVE YOU CALL MONDAY SO YOU CAN START TWO WEEKS HAVE PASSED TODAY IS APRIL 22ND TUESDAY I SENT MANY MESSAGES ON THE BAR NUMBER THE WORKER WRITE TO ME THAT HE CAN'T DO ANYTHING THAT I HAVE TO SPEAK TO THE THE OWNERS THERE IS NO SERIOUSNESS, IT'S JUST FANCY ACT, THEN THEY COMPLAIN THAT THEY CAN'T FIND STAFF, LOGICALLY THEY SEE THAT I'M A FAMILY MAN, THEY CAN'T EXPLOIT ME, SO I'M LOOKING FOR A YOUNG BOY. THE OWNER TOLD ME THAT A GIRL WAS WORKING, SHE WANTED TO REGISTER, THE NEXT DAY SHE HAD STOMACH PAIN, YOU MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH IN REGGIO CALABRIA, IT'S ALWAYS THE WORKER'S FAULT, SINCE IN REGGIO CALABRIA YOU REGISTER HOW MANY HOURS SOMEONE WORKS, GIVE THEM GOOD SALARIES.

20/12/2025: Ever since we tasted their panettone, we can't stop eating it, so we order them from Cagliari, even as gifts for our closest friends and family. Try it and believe it!

19/12/2025: We chose this restaurant to celebrate two important family occasions, and even though it was our first time, we were truly impressed. The quality of the seafood dishes is excellent, and you can clearly taste the great care and passion the chef puts into every preparation. Also noteworthy are the splendid location, the excellent value, and, above all, the kindness of all the staff. We'll definitely be back; it was a pleasure!

20/09/2025: A restaurant whose location could have great potential. The food and service, unfortunately, were disappointing. If I were to return to Bagnara, unfortunately, it wouldn't be my choice to stop for dinner.

07/09/2025: Very, very beautiful location. Well-maintained. Everything was excellent. Highly recommended. Friendly staff, even when it came to requests for football viewings. Top. Again, highly recommended.

05/12/2025: Very expensive. €75 for one night, in an old, cold room, with no curtains. Impossible to heat... Steep stairs outside the entrance, no elevator. Laundry dries on the room floor; it's so elegant! It says "gluten free," but breakfast has no gluten-free bread or biscuits!

20/08/2025: I only had dinner there for 4 evenings. Very kind, fast and above all you eat really a lot and well. I would add that the spaghetti alla Corte d'Assise were created by them. So I've said it all.

16/04/2026: I'll start by saying I've been going to this place for years and travel a lot for work. This evening, a spritz at the bar was €8 (of course). When I asked for two olives, they told me they were extra and asked for an extra euro. Madness.

15/04/2026: I happened upon a lunch date and was pleasantly surprised: there were four of us, each ordering a different dish, and everyone was satisfied. I also tried the Black Forest dessert, which was truly delicious. The menu is truly interesting, with so many choices that I'll definitely be back to try more.

06/01/2026: My boyfriend and I come here often. It's a really great place. The pizza, the starter, and everything is excellent. I'm not a fish fan, but theirs is really good. The dishes are plentiful, you pay for them, and the service is excellent, as if I were eating gourmet food. The prices are excellent, in fact, for the quality, I would easily pay more.
