17/08/2025: Be honest! I've gotten takeout pizza with salmon TWICE, and I barely saw any of it! Yet, the second time I even pointed out that the first pizza didn't have salmon (but they do charge for it, eh?), and yet they still delivered a pizza with 2 invisible tufts of salmon. The dough is good, but even for the rest of the flavors, the ingredients on top are very scarce. 2 slices of salami and 2 mushrooms on the other... oh please...

19/08/2025: Terrible experience, shame on me, I DO NOT recommend it TO ANYONE! We've ordered here several times; once we found a blond hair on the sushi, probably from a cat or a person, but we decided to overlook it, this time we found a green fly inside a box. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! Lost customers for you 😡 truly unacceptable. 1 star is even too much. I can't say I had a terrible experience the other times, but I will never go back because this is truly ridiculous! Don't go ☺️❤️

16/10/2025: We spontaneously stopped by this afternoon after a hike and had a super delicious vegetarian appetizer with delicious bread. Absolutely fantastic! We've never had anything like it before! My daughter had spaghetti with tomato sauce and was also completely blown away. If we ever come back, we'll definitely go there!

22/09/2025: I've known this place since I was a child, and it's barely been heard of over the years. A historic establishment, located in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Extremely friendly staff, excellent cuisine, very prompt waiters, and impeccable service.

01/10/2025: From spaghetti to pizza, arancini, etc., everything was excellent...highly recommended and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful!

28/08/2025: Excellent for getting right to the Reggio Calabria waterfront. It's located at the beginning of the promenade and very close to the Regional Archaeological Museum of the Riace Bronzes.

28/07/2025: Dilapidated, dirty, and inaccessible, the administration announced its restoration months ago. Work is progressing so slowly that it can easily be said to be at a standstill. What should be the focal point of a tourist attraction like no other in the world has been reduced to an open-air landfill, a disgrace for the entire city and Calabrian community.

18/09/2025: 😋😋 Wow! 😋😋🍕🍕 After a long, hot days sail we saw the Pizzeria Barrel wasn't too far from where we were anchored 🤔 We decided to get a pizza to eat on the boat ⛵. So glad we did for €14 we got a pizza that even the two of us found filling and Frittata as a side. The pizza was just what we needed, hot, a large size and delicious 😋😋 The toppings were fresh and just right and the base was amazing ♥️, the potato Frittata were hot and chunky, we couldn't finish them all to be honest. 26/08/2025: I went to this restaurant on Ferragosto (August 15th) for lunch with friends and family, and unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience at all. We sat down around 1:00 PM, and the first courses arrived around 3:45 PM. I understand it's a holiday and the waits are a bit longer, but waiting almost 3 hours for our dishes is inconceivable! The girl who served us, unfortunately, wasn't at all polite; she had a very annoyed look, and when we asked her questions, she wouldn't respond politely, in addition to the unprofessional service. I've been to S. Barbara before, and I can confirm that overall the food is good, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience was very disappointing.

21/08/2025: Excellent cook, amazingly well received, but the portions are decidedly small for the price...7 euros for a caponata with 3 slices of onion and 2 tomatoes is definitely excessive, but where there's taste there's no loss.

07/04/2025: Advertising is like lies, they have short legs... I have to say that I was very disappointed with everything, quality and price. I paid €20 for a house appetizer, but it wasn't even worth €5 in quality and proportion. All recycled stuff, reheated on the spot, and of terrible taste. Not to mention the super salty and raw bread made with pizza dough, so I'll leave you to imagine what the pizza was like. The only thing that was criticized was the name of the dish. If I can give you some advice, change jobs... restaurateurs are born, you can't just invent them on the spot.

21/09/2025: Like every year, I went to this beach resort to spend a day at the beach in Scilla. Spoiler alert: this year it was a nightmare, and we had to leave during the day. Let's start with the reservation: we wanted to reserve two umbrellas, and throughout the week, from Monday to Friday, we called the number listed on Google multiple times, with no answer. On Saturday morning, we arrived and managed to find the last two remaining umbrellas. We decided to take one, because the second was very close to the shower, thus subjected to constant jets of water. In our group, there was a disabled person, who decided to stay at the restaurant table. Since each table has a central pole, making it uncomfortable for anyone in a wheelchair, he asked to be able to sit at a table with the standard four poles. The owner replied that we had to find a solution, since the beach resort is accessible, and that there was nothing she could do about it (in her opinion, a disabled-accessible restroom is enough to establish the accessibility of the entire facility). After telling her that it's her job to accommodate guests' requests and speaking with her lawyer, whom the owner had called to emphasize the facility's accessibility, we managed to borrow a table from a nearby beach club. We had lunch (no comment on the service) and after lunch we decided to stay partly at the table and partly under the umbrella. Suddenly, the owner arrived, inviting the disabled person to move, as there was a DJ set scheduled where they were. We told her we wanted to leave the beach club, and she continued to reiterate that her facility was accessible. I don't think we'll be returning. Fun fact: at the end of the day, despite having the appropriate tag on the windshield of our car, we found a scooter parked next to the disabled passenger door, blocking their entry. Needless to say, the scooter belonged to one of the beach club employees.

21/09/2025: A beautiful beach resort with an old-marina-style atmosphere and below-average prices. Excellent service in Bagnara.
