18/09/2025: Wonderful pastry shop in Locri recommended by acquaintances, good prices and even better desserts

17/06/2025: The staff was extremely rude, they didn't give us enough time to decide what to eat. As soon as we reached the counter, the lady demanded we immediately know what to order, and since we were new to the place, we weren't familiar with their products, so we took a few seconds to see what was available. While one of us was browsing the pastry section, the others had decided what to eat and told the lady behind the counter, but she started repeating herself at the person who was still trying to figure out what they had (listing the items already ordered and waiting for that person to respond, continuing like this until she received a response from us) in an arrogant and annoying manner. The lady at the cash register—it wasn't clear whether she was angry with the entire world or if it's always like this—didn't return our greeting, despite looking annoyed at us. When it came time to pay, she charged someone who came after me in line, still looking disgusted. Disorder reigns supreme in that place; it's unclear whether it's an office or a bar. Despite this, the croissants and puff pastry were good, it's a shame we won't be returning due to their rudeness.

12/08/2025: Really good ice cream and croissants, with lots of choice and authentic taste. Open until late at night, it is ideal for those who like to indulge in something sweet after dinner... or even later. A good habit to get into.

29/12/2025: Once we arrived, I discovered it was a trattoria/bar/B&B, but my experience was limited to the trattoria. I liked the dining room; I found it in keeping with the setting. A fairly positive experience; I really liked some things, like the appetizers and the homemade bread, which I found exceptional. The first courses were good but nothing special, but I didn't like the mixed grill: the meat was overcooked, and the sausage knots were burnt. For dessert, I tried their homemade panettone, a very generous portion; it was also good but nothing exceptional. I found the price above average for a trattoria, but despite this, I recommend the experience.

10/09/2025: We stayed two nights. The property was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The owners were extremely kind and attentive to everything. The food was exceptional. The bread, pastries, and homemade brioches from the attached bakery were truly delicious. Highly recommended.

30/08/2025: We sat down in the square in August at 8:45 PM, 11 of us. Orders were taken piecemeal and served haphazardly: first food without drinks, then half-finished drinks, and finally—when everyone had already finished—our celiac friend's gluten-free pizza, which he ate alone. Bread never arrived, drinks forgotten, pizzas from those who hadn't eaten never seen, despite numerous promises of preferential passage of our order (perhaps for the next day). The menu stated that a platter was "minimum for two people" at €32, but the staff's explanation was a puzzle: when we said there were eight of us, we were told that four platters was not enough; when we ordered five, we discovered that the platters were actually charged "per person" and not "per couple." In fact, the "platter for eight" had five pieces of each, so three people were left to watch. The menu was poorly written, and the order management was even worse. One of us, after being told several times that the pizza we'd chosen from the menu wasn't available, had to impatiently ask them to decide which pizza was available. The service was surreal: a single waiter (presumably the owner) would take the orders, leave them unfinished, and disappear for long minutes, while the others watched. When we complained, the owner never admitted a mistake: he told us that "you must have misunderstood, or I misunderstood," and urged us to stay calm "because I even gave you a front-row table to watch the concert," all with a joke that was more than out of place. Final justification? "It's chaotic in August, and it's a special night." With the square full but only 50 people in the dining room, it's pure incompetence; the chaos wasn't in his restaurant: if you don't know how to manage, you reduce the seating. In the end, we paid €20 each, including those who didn't eat. Disorganized, slow, arrogant, and even ironic about complaints: a disaster to be avoided!

14/08/2025: We ordered two pizzas, a Margherita and a Diavola with 'nduja, and were pleasantly surprised by their melt-in-your-mouth crust! The owner was incredibly kind and friendly, and we even met the pizza chef and congratulated him in person. This will definitely be our go-to pizzeria for our next trips to Palmi! 05/12/2025: Very expensive. €75 for one night, in an old, cold room, with no curtains. Impossible to heat... Steep stairs outside the entrance, no elevator. Laundry dries on the room floor; it's so elegant! It says "gluten free," but breakfast has no gluten-free bread or biscuits!

20/08/2025: I only had dinner there for 4 evenings. Very kind, fast and above all you eat really a lot and well. I would add that the spaghetti alla Corte d'Assise were created by them. So I've said it all.

19/07/2025: Este es un gran restaurante. La comida es buena, así como el servicio. Comimos aquí un par de veces durante nuestra estancia en Scilla. La comida es preciosa. Mi esposo tuvo Picanha un par de veces. Teníamos el plato de mariscos que era bueno pero no vale la pena los 18 €. Tuve filete de atún que era bueno y especial de día lasaña de pez espada que era delicioso, que deben poner en el menú seguro. El único problema que tengo es el precio. Para un restaurante de calle con scooters y coches pasando los precios son demasiado altos. El costo es comparable con restaurantes en Chianalea con impresionantes vistas y asientos en el océano.

18/08/2025: The food is very expensive and not worth the price. We paid €20 for a broken umbrella and two deck chairs. After two hours, it started raining heavily, and we couldn't even get shelter at the bar because the roof has no cover.

08/09/2025: A very quiet location surrounded by nature. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. This agriturismo produces wine from its own vineyards, planting old, local grape varieties. You can enjoy a wine tasting with the owner and purchase your favorite wine directly. Shipping is also possible.

20/11/2025: Clean, and although small, welcoming, the place has friendly staff who are happy to cater to your taste buds, and the atmosphere is a peaceful place to enjoy. Takeout is a service that allows you to enjoy the deliciousness of our specialties at home with family and/or friends, confident in the ingredients and quality, as well as the taste. Of course, try it if you don't believe us!

15/02/2026: My girlfriend and I went last night for Valentine's Day. The place is very large and spacious, and can also accommodate special events, but it's very out of the way. The evening was pleasant, but unfortunately I have to give it a low rating for two reasons: 1) The quality of the appetizer: in my opinion, the food was poor and packaged. We have so many local cured meats that going to Calabria and buying packaged items just to save a few euros isn't ideal. I ate it, but I felt sick that night. The pizza was good, but not the best. 2) Service: everything was fine. The staff were very attentive at the beginning and asked me about any intolerances on the pizza I had chosen, right up to the dessert and sparkling wine/Prosecco that were supposed to be served, but weren't served. I promptly reported this to the cashier, who was very kind and wanted to stop us or offer me a drink, which I declined because it was already late and I wanted to go home. The piano bar was very enjoyable, as was the Valentine's Day evening with the singer who, between songs, updated us on the Inter-Juventus match 😂. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, but I recommend reviewing the service and, above all, the quality of the ingredients. Sure, you charge €25 per person for a set menu with certain items, but at least include a decent appetizer that isn't prepackaged (cooked ham, which is the kind you get prepackaged in supermarkets).
