25/09/2025: As a true Roman pizza aficionado, being Roman myself, it's a must-visit when I can visit relatives in Taurianova. As I told Mimmo and his wife, Roman pizza, with the ingredients you find in Calabria, is a PERFECT combination. Light, thin, and crispy pizza, as is traditional. Mimmo and his wife are excellent hosts and make you feel at home. Thank you for all the goodness, you're amazing.

09/12/2025: Given that this is the second or third time I've been to this restaurant, I can confirm their impeccable customer service. The service is excellent and they pay great attention to detail. The food is authentic, and I believe many of the ingredients are locally sourced. The location is elegant, but with the fireplace lit, it feels like home.

01/09/2025: We stopped "by mistake" because it was close to the B&B where we were staying. And thank goodness! The food was phenomenal! Fresh, plentiful, and unexpectedly CHEAP! The wait staff were super friendly. What can I say... it couldn't have been better!

17/03/2026: We had a Calabrian aperitivo and a sandwich with drinks. Overall, it was the restaurant in Reggio where we ate the least well; it was very—too much?—rustic. Perhaps we chose poorly from a menu that appealed to us. Very nice inside, pleasant outside in good weather. Cover charge too expensive.

06/02/2026: I stopped by chance for dinner. I was on my way to eat elsewhere but entered La Cantina, captivated by the view from the outside and without any prior information. I was greeted by a very kind young woman who was very attentive in understanding exactly what I wanted and who, throughout the dinner, always returned at the right time, never earlier or later. The place did not disappoint the expectations I had formed from the outside, meticulously cared for in every detail, such as on the wall next to my table, a display case with antique mechanical alarm clocks. I ordered an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses and a delicious, slightly spicy jam, then moved on to the first course, tagliolini with white ragù and porcini mushrooms, and finished with a salted caramel cheesecake. Every dish was beautifully presented; the tagliolini with ragù was truly sublime, the white ragù and porcini mushrooms were extraordinary together, and the dessert was also excellent. I will definitely return; I think it's a must-see in Polistena. Price in line with quality and quantity.

The welcome is always top-notch, enhanced by the smiles of the owner, her dear sister, and her staff. We don't miss the opportunity to stop by and enjoy a tasting.

19/12/2025: We chose this restaurant to celebrate two important family occasions, and even though it was our first time, we were truly impressed. The quality of the seafood dishes is excellent, and you can clearly taste the great care and passion the chef puts into every preparation. Also noteworthy are the splendid location, the excellent value, and, above all, the kindness of all the staff. We'll definitely be back; it was a pleasure!

20/09/2025: A restaurant whose location could have great potential. The food and service, unfortunately, were disappointing. If I were to return to Bagnara, unfortunately, it wouldn't be my choice to stop for dinner.

30/08/2025: We sat down in the square in August at 8:45 PM, 11 of us. Orders were taken piecemeal and served haphazardly: first food without drinks, then half-finished drinks, and finally—when everyone had already finished—our celiac friend's gluten-free pizza, which he ate alone. Bread never arrived, drinks forgotten, pizzas from those who hadn't eaten never seen, despite numerous promises of preferential passage of our order (perhaps for the next day). The menu stated that a platter was "minimum for two people" at €32, but the staff's explanation was a puzzle: when we said there were eight of us, we were told that four platters was not enough; when we ordered five, we discovered that the platters were actually charged "per person" and not "per couple." In fact, the "platter for eight" had five pieces of each, so three people were left to watch. The menu was poorly written, and the order management was even worse. One of us, after being told several times that the pizza we'd chosen from the menu wasn't available, had to impatiently ask them to decide which pizza was available. The service was surreal: a single waiter (presumably the owner) would take the orders, leave them unfinished, and disappear for long minutes, while the others watched. When we complained, the owner never admitted a mistake: he told us that "you must have misunderstood, or I misunderstood," and urged us to stay calm "because I even gave you a front-row table to watch the concert," all with a joke that was more than out of place. Final justification? "It's chaotic in August, and it's a special night." With the square full but only 50 people in the dining room, it's pure incompetence; the chaos wasn't in his restaurant: if you don't know how to manage, you reduce the seating. In the end, we paid €20 each, including those who didn't eat. Disorganized, slow, arrogant, and even ironic about complaints: a disaster to be avoided!

14/08/2025: We ordered two pizzas, a Margherita and a Diavola with 'nduja, and were pleasantly surprised by their melt-in-your-mouth crust! The owner was incredibly kind and friendly, and we even met the pizza chef and congratulated him in person. This will definitely be our go-to pizzeria for our next trips to Palmi! 09/06/2025: Bad experience the confirmation cake was inedible 4.8 kg of cake left on the plates and it should have been 4 kg! It was chocolate and chantilly cream what did the fruit rum have to do with it I don't know Dark sponge cake full of fruit rum one pays handsomely at least they made things well never again I wrote a message to avoid the review he didn't even reply to me after reading it

26/05/2025: The shekerato is the workhorse! Classic recipe, unmistakable taste. It is pleasant to enjoy sitting at the tables, among other things there is always a place, despite it being always busy. The service is fast, the staff very polite and kind. You can perceive a lot of serenity among the staff, a factor not to be underestimated. The owner is a very polite person even with customers, always smiling. The delivery service is very efficient, we have been ordering cakes for 20 years at home, we are very satisfied and the cakes are excellent from taste to aesthetics. We have had the opportunity to try the pastry buffet at some events, I would say excellent. I also recently tried the ice cream, impossible not to fall in love with the Nutella flavor! The prices are reasonable.

21/10/2025: I found this station to be the perfect stop close to my accommodation. To my suprise this small station was very well kept, staff seemed to always be present and there was a lift. The lift was a bonus for me as I had heavy luggage.
