23/08/2025: Everything was excellent!!! The quality of the ingredients was superb, the dough was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The combinations were unusual and well thought out! We'd definitely go back! The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't enough to maintain a comfortable temperature.

16/09/2025: We met Chef Cogliandro and his cuisine 12 years ago, and since then he has celebrated every anniversary. His cuisine is a crescendo of culinary experiences and sensations that highlight his love for the region and guide the palate in the discovery of extraordinary pairings.
The dining room staff is always attentive and friendly, the view is enchanting, and the spaces are well-maintained.
Beyond his cuisine, credit goes to the person: from the first moment we met him, he introduced himself as Filippo, a sociable, humble, and honest man who has fought on the front lines for the legality of the Reggio Calabria region. He also took two unaccompanied minors under his wing, teaching them the trade, leading them to great national recognitions.
In short, eating at A Gourmet is an experience that is good not only for the palate but also for the heart.
Go there! And you'll come back again.

26/08/2025: I went to Damì last week with my parents and friends for dinner.
The place is truly charming and welcoming, with very modern tables.
When ordering, we were guided and advised on our choice of dishes (even considering one of us had an intolerance).
We had several meat and fish dishes. The appetizers were very comprehensive, and the first courses were delicious. We also enjoyed the desserts (special mention for the fruit tarts, which we particularly enjoyed).
The price was in line with the type of restaurant.
I will definitely be back next summer!

Everything we ate was delicious: from appetizers to desserts, we enjoyed the authentic flavors of our sea and land. A mix of good taste that marries well with the kindness and professionalism of the owners, who will guide and advise you with a smile as you discover unique dishes you will not soon forget. 28/08/2025: I have known the place for over 10 years now, excellent quality... courtesy, excellent service... dishes that only you can taste... terra cotta lamb... a world heritage site ❤️ the thing that surprised them the most is certainly the integration of "SPECIAl" kids who are allowed to feel an integral part of the world of work... ..❤️ from the kitchen to the tables... kids who with their smile fill your heart making us experience an absolutely familiar context and not at all taken for granted in today's society... which instead of valorizing these kids... from whose sensitivity we have so much to learn... sometimes marginalizes them. much honor to the whole team but especially to the boss❤️❤️❤️

06/09/2025: We arrived by motorbike without a reservation. They welcomed us very warmly and immediately offered us piping hot flower fritters and sat us down. We chose the tasting menu. As soon as we were seated, we were served generous appetizers accompanied by water and wine. Then came the two first courses, giving us seconds as well as the second courses. And then, for dessert, the ricotta cannoli... Everything was delicious and in a truly sublime, quiet and relaxing location with a breathtaking panoramic view. We ate really well and were truly satisfied!!

31/07/2025: We had a truly impeccable culinary experience. From the warm welcome to the attentive and friendly service, everything was simply excellent. Each dish elegantly and authentically showcased the richness of Calabrian tradition, and beyond, revisited with great care and creativity. The intense yet balanced flavors, the extraordinary quality of the ingredients, and the meticulously crafted presentation made the dinner a true journey through the region's finest.
The wine pairing was another highlight: each glass perfectly enhanced the flavors of the dish, demonstrating the meticulous selection of local wines.
A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for their professionalism, passion, and smiles throughout the evening. A special thanks to Giuseppe, whose expertise and kindness made the experience even more enjoyable.
We will definitely be back!
16/07/2025: Impeccable, unobtrusive service, a refined and elegant venue, and top-notch dishes. We chose "Barefoot on the Sand," a surprise menu that truly surprised. Eight delicious courses were chosen by the chef, except for the dessert, which I chose and which was truly a treat. It's definitely a place I recommend and would gladly return to. Congratulations, chef, and goodbye.

03/09/2025: Finally, this evening, my wife and I managed to dine here. We never managed to find a table, and that's because the food was so good. From appetizers to dessert, everything was excellent. The owner and staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

07/09/2025: At this kiosk, we had a brioche with bergamot gelato and fig granita.
The bergamot gelato was amazing!! The flavor was delicate, but you could still taste the bergamot. The fig granita was the fruit!!
During our vacation in Calabria, we tried bergamot gelato several times, and we weren't thrilled because it always had an aftertaste of..."detergent"...
My advice is to try the bergamot gelato from the La Cattolica kiosk, and then tell me... ;)

08/09/2025: Ate here for lunch while visiting Gerace. Rustic restaurant with exquisite food, especially the Homemade A' Squella Pasta. Staff was also very hospitable. I would recommend dining at A' Squella for those visiting Gerace.
30/08/2025: Strategic location, excellent food, and very friendly staff. They seated us at 12 even though the kitchen opened at 12:30. Prices were reasonable for the area and the amount consumed.
