Good food for those who prefer meat. A wide selection. Calabrian and non-Calabrian dishes, with some variations. I didn't like the macaroni with pork ragù; I expected more, both because of the pasta shape, the way it was cooked (backward), the lack of connection between the sauce and the pasta, and the almost complete absence of meat. It tasted like pasta with tomato sauce and a few pieces of meat. The staff is friendly and attentive. The portions are adequate, and the prices are fair. For those not from the area, it might be difficult to easily reach the restaurant; Maps shows two routes that require a longer journey. The restaurant has parking for about 10 cars.

Il Villeggiante restaurant and pizzeria is a beautiful establishment in the upper part of Reggio Calabria. Getting there involves winding roads up the Reggio Calabria hills, but it's worth the effort. It has a small internal parking lot, but there's plenty of parking outside. We were greeted warmly and kindly by the staff, and were seated near a beautiful window with a lovely view. The dishes are meticulously prepared, using top-quality ingredients. There's a wide selection of meats and wines. The pizzas are also excellent. The service is fast, and everyone is well-organized. Mr. Ciccino went around the tables to check on the dinner, demonstrating kindness and professionalism. It's best to make a reservation to avoid the risk of missing out. Excellent value for money. I recommend it for a good meal at a fair price and a home-away-from-home feel.
