24/03/2025: During my recent visit to Fu Lu Chinese-Japanese Restaurant in Polistena, I found the quality of the dishes varied. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared, meeting expectations for a restaurant specializing in Asian cuisine. However, the Chinese dishes didn't reach the same level of quality, falling short of expectations. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming, but I hope they improve the preparation of the Chinese dishes to offer a more balanced dining experience.

09/08/2025: We went to this restaurant for the first time, drawn by the excellent reviews. We made a reservation for 8:00 PM, called to let them know we'd be 10 minutes late, and when we went in, they told us the kitchen wasn't ready. They could have told us the kitchen opens at 8:30 PM and we could have booked for that time. We ordered several courses, including two tagliolini with lobster, but the waitress explained that that evening they only had tagliolini with squid ink, so we ordered them even though we would have preferred the regular pasta. While we were eating, two regular tagliolini with lobster arrived at the next table. When we went to the cashier to pay, we mentioned what had happened. The waitress, taken aback, became a bit condescending, disappeared into the kitchen, and sent someone else to charge us, giving us a whopping €11 discount. If they wanted to make up for it, they should have eliminated at least the cost of one of the two tagliolini. Also, a 1L bottle of Coke for €8 seems a bit excessive. Anyway, aside from the inconveniences, the appetizers were average, nothing spectacular, and the other two first courses were good. As for the second courses, however, we didn't get served a rubbery fried calamari.

22/07/2025: A paradise for fish and seafood lovers. An immense selection that will leave connoisseurs raving. It's impossible to take a photo of every dish. X small portions, X courses freshly served. Clearly also an insider spot for locals.

22/08/2025: On our way back from Paola, we decided to try this restaurant in the ancient village of Belmonte. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We took the chef up on a suggestion, and he prepared an excellent pacchero with amberjack. The price was perhaps a little steep...but you pay for quality food.

18/08/2025: I dined at Taverna Intru u Vicu with a group of friends. Let me start by saying that the location is stunning: both the terrace and the alleyway will surely provide guests with an unforgettable experience. The service was kind and friendly, without being intrusive, and the owner and waiter made us feel at home. The house wine, served during dinner, was also excellent. As for the menu, the owner's innovation was much appreciated. No dish was banal, and the flavors were well-balanced. The tuna on tomato steak and the pickled tuna (€16-18) are definitely worth trying as appetizers. I personally ordered the mixed fried fish (€22), which was good, fresh, and crispy, but perhaps a bit small for a main course. In conclusion, absolutely recommended for those looking for an unconventional dinner in an excellent location. For eight of us, with four appetizers, eight courses, wine, drinks, and two shared desserts, we spent about €50 each.

04/07/2025: Pizzeria I Portici is located in the city center of Cosenza. The location is typical of a local pizzeria. The pizza is Cosenza-style, that is: low, crispy and well cooked. Excellent. The price is more than fair.🍕😁

01/05/2025: Tan bueno que tuve que volver la noche siguiente. Pizza justo como debe ser (IMHO) : súper delgada, cocinada a la perfección. Cuando dije que era vegetariano, me ofrecieron hacerme una pizza alle verdure (si no hablas italiano, solo di "vegetariano/a" o pide "alle verdure". Aldo es muy amable y acogedor. Hay mesas por dentro y por fuera, pero no hay servicio de mesa - esencialmente esto es una comida para llevar con la opción de comer en el sitio. Excelente relación calidad-precio también, € 6 - 10 para una pizza de clase alta. ¡Y también puedes comprar una cerveza!

23/08/2025: The beer is very good, but the burgers are the best. It felt like being in America. Perfect meat, tasty bacon, and a perfectly made bun. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. Congratulations, indeed.

09/08/2025: My husband and I had dinner last night. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean establishment. The owners are truly kind and friendly. We had seafood dinner, and everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the first course, main course, and dessert. We definitely recommend it, and if we ever return to Scalea for vacation, it will be the first place we return to. Thank you so much.

30/07/2025: Excellent food, fresh fish... but after lunch, don't go swimming without taking an umbrella, for which they ask the price of the whole day even if it's 3:30 pm... and if you decide not to take the umbrella... they ask you to move the vehicle from the establishment's parking lot... even though you left them almost 200 euros between the four of you.

26/03/2025: Torniamo sempre in questo locale quando siamo a Rotonda perchè la pizza è davvero ottima, così come ottimi sono i primi e i secondi sia di carne che di pesce, davvero tanta scelta, anche pizza a pranzo. Locale bello, pulito, personale gentile e premuroso, servizio veloce. Qualità-prezzo ottimo. Consigliato.
