23/09/2025: Less than average. Nothing to do with the comments I read.

03/09/2025: Had lunch with my wife on Monday, September 1st. We were greeted by a young restaurateur who took care of everything. Excellent, locally sourced food, mostly freshly prepared. Generous portions and excellent value. If we ever pass that way again, we'll be back!

30/08/2025: An excellent pizza, with a thick crust, served quickly and courteously. Very generous portions at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

14/09/2025: I recommend this fast food restaurant because it serves quality products at reasonable prices. The bread, meat, and sauces are all homemade. The owner is very kind and helpful. The service was quick and the place was quiet. Takeout is available.

04/10/2025: We spent 1-night at the B&B. We had a ground floor triple room for 2 at the back garden. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was good. There was plenty of space to park our bicycles. It is a short walk to the castle and beach, plus into the village. The location and village is great. The breakfast was disappointing. We arrived shortly after 8am and they were disorganized. Half the things were not out and the others at breakfast were questioning what was available. The cake they brought out was completely frozen and could not be cut. At around 8.30 they brought out freshly heated croissants to save the day.

19/09/2025: Nice bed and breakfast, very spacious and new rooms, very good breakfast. It also has a restaurant and pizzeria. Very friendly staff. Located a 5-minute walk from the castle beach.

19/10/2025: Returned today after several years and rediscovered the quality, the abundance of dishes, and the owner's friendliness. Congratulations, Carlo...keep it up.

20/09/2025: I'm sorry to have to write this review, but I feel it's my duty to those who, like me, rely on reviews to choose where to eat. I visited this local sandwich shop with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in every way. The staff, though adequately staffed, proved completely uncoordinated, with inexplicable wait times even when there were no customers. The sandwiches? Barely worthy of the name. The toppings were almost invisible, hidden between two slices of bread that, alone, could have told a more interesting story than the contents. All this was offered at exorbitant prices, far out of proportion to the quality and quantity offered. But what is most striking—and negative—is the attitude: an unjustified arrogance, a presumption that almost makes the customer seem like an intruder rather than a guest. I'm sorry to say this, but there's no need for improvement here: we need to start from scratch, with humility, awareness, and respect for those who choose to spend their time and money with you.

19/09/2025: The appetizer of their own cured meats, cheeses, and chili pepper jam was mind-blowing! The two of us first gorged on a picana and then a rib-eye steak, both from Spanish beef... lust! I truly enjoyed this evening! If you come to Gioiosa, you absolutely must come. Thanks, Cosimo 🙏🏻

10/09/2025: Excellent restaurant. Dishes primarily based on high-quality meats. Typical Calabrian dishes. Delicious appetizers.

02/10/2025: A well-maintained and clean family-run country farmhouse nestled in the hills overlooking the coast between Torremezzo and Fiumefreddo. Excellent food. Perhaps they should organize a menu, otherwise you'll only get to try the appetizer, which is abundant with delicious homemade products. The formula is that they bring you the appetizer as soon as you arrive without asking for anything. Then, once you're full, they come and tell you about the two first courses of the day and the main course, which is usually a mixed grill (others are available upon request at the time of booking and subject to availability). We paid €25 for an appetizer, which, given the abundance and quality of the ingredients, is reasonable, but it's still an appetizer.

07/09/2025: First time there. Classic agritourism food. Everything was good. Service was a bit slow but friendly. The atmosphere was clean. The only truly terrible thing was the bad smell that probably came from the shoulders. It was nauseating. The price was normal, I think.

09/08/2025: I'm giving it 5 stars because of the very friendly owner and everything I've tried in two consecutive nights going for dinner. I'd say it's the best place for good, quality food within a mile radius. It's worth getting in the car and trying it out.

09/09/2025: It's the Harrows of taste. At Scarpelli's you can find everything... every day of the year. A very well-managed and organized business. For a few years now, it's also been a lounge bar and cocktail music bar. Interesting place.

30/08/2025: For me, it's a no. I went to this cafe and diner but was surprised by the lack of customer service, arrogance, and condescending attitude. Something I've never encountered in any other restaurant in Calabria, where hospitality is still a key value. A little more kindness wouldn't hurt.

24/07/2025: We were warmly welcomed by the owners, who were friendly and eager to accommodate their guests' every need. Excellent breakfasts are served in the well-kept garden.
