17/05/2025: The guy working inside was in a super bad mood. No eye contact. No thank you. He tried to overcharge me 1 euro. In the end no apology. I wouldn't go there again.

11/05/2025: If you’re in Gerace, this place is a must-visit! The granita is absolutely amazing – fresh, full of flavor, and there’s a wide variety to choose from. You can even mix flavors like lemon, pistachio, rum, and chocolate – every combination we tried was fantastic. I also tried the aperitivo platter once and can highly recommend it – delicious and nicely presented. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy some local specialties in a charming setting!

04/04/2025: Personale gentile. Servizio rapido, nonostante l'affollamento della serata. Piatti, bicchieri e posate puliti. Cibo buono e di buona qualità. Non conoscevo questa pizzeria che si è rivelata una gradevole sorpresa che terrò presente anche per il futuro.

06/05/2025: Attratto dalla recensioni positive ho voluto provare la pizza, ho preso un trancio di margherita e onestamente mi ha deluso, poco saporita e un po' molliccia. Proprio l'impasto, che a quanto avevo letto, doveva essere il punto di forza, a me è invece sembrato il punto debole. Sono tornato un paio di mesi dopo, credo che dare una seconda chance fosse doveroso, stavolta con mio figlio. Abbiamo di nuovo preso al margherita, la giallorossa ed il supplì. Stessa sensazione della volta precedente, anche il supplì mi ha poco convinto.

31/05/2025: We had lunch at the Il Nostrano restaurant, in a pleasant location on the seafront. The restaurant is tastefully furnished, especially outside where white dominates. I really enjoyed the mixed appetizer with various tastings and the mussels with pepper, really tasty (I would have put a few more croutons). The seafood linguine, on the other hand, convinced me less: too seasoned for my taste, and a bit invasive compared to the flavor of the fish. The staff was kind and helpful, even though we had to ask several times to bring water, but the restaurant was full and the wait was justified. You can choose whether to eat inside or outside, which is always appreciated. Overall, a good lunch.

29/05/2025: Let's start with the very warm welcome, sublime and tasty food, the owner Mr. Walter came to greet us even though we were strangers, I was there one Sunday for lunch and a week later I went back for dinner even though I live 60km away. I recommend it

16/11/2024: Update, this summer I go to get a braid with almonds and they give me the one from the day before, it was rubbery and also much smaller than last year's, I point out to them that it was from the day before, that it was rubbery and as always they climb up the mirrors, the funniest thing is when I tell them that they were smaller than other years and they find the excuse that they had come out smaller, in fact the next day I go in to get another one and notice that they were the same old ones from the day before, I left without buying anything, they won't see me again, shame for the tourists who are literally almost made fun of....., the pos?? they don't even know what it is, it's always broken, the receipt on request... This year I came back, in July I always took the ice cream cone with cream "3 ice cream scoops plus cream, always paid €4, end of July same ice cream cone 3 ice cream scoops with cream €4.50, I point out that I had always paid €4 and they climb up the mirrors saying that evidently "for 10 times, even herself" they were wrong, but who are they trying to kid, I return at the end of August, always ice cream cone with cream €4.50, the problem is that this time instead of 3 ice cream scoops they put 2, I point out that normally they were 3 ice cream scoops and they arrogantly curse me for a liar "as the people of Tropea very often, always want to be right", he tells me that if I wanted he would put the third scoop even if it wasn't foreseen, I make him put it on, it's not about the money but the mockery The mask is optional, you ask him to put it on "even if they have to put it on by law" but they pretend nothing happened, unfortunately Tropea checks are not carried out, the police were around but nobody was checking

25/05/2025: dalle recensioni che avevamo letto di sicuro nn ci aspettavamo di mangiare male, ma ha superato le aspettative! accoglienza cordiale, simpatica del titolare credo , ci siamo fatti guidare e consigliare, al meglio! inoltre tra i pochi posti a nn chiedere la recensione, ma nn puoi nin farla per il servizio ricevuto!!! ritorneremo !!!

14/05/2025: Entramos en Hipocampo fuera de la calle sin saber qué esperar. Primero pedí una cerveza. Era de una cervecería local y posiblemente la mejor cerveza que he probado. Como no hablamos italiano el dueño (supongo) recomendó algunos platos y seguimos sus recomendaciones. Qué experiencia maravillosa. Absolutamente increíble comida. . . . la presentación, la preparación y la calidad y frescura de la comida era de primera clase. El propietario era un tipo amable, sonriente, impecablemente educado. Qué noche tan encantadora. Lo mejor hasta ahora en nuestro viaje por Calabria.

16/04/2025: Small family-run restaurant. Fresh fish, generous portions. We ate spaghetti with local cuttlefish in sauce (amazing!), grilled chestnut fish and mixed fried fish with fresh anchovies. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back!
