Every time I dine at Scaccomatto, it's a guarantee. A well-kept and welcoming restaurant, a relaxing atmosphere, and impeccable service: the staff is always kind, professional, and attentive. 04/01/2026: Excellent food, and quick, efficient service. The only negative is the live music, which was quite loud; a lower volume would have definitely been more relaxing. Overall, an experience worth repeating.

27/11/2025: Near to Lamezia Airport we discovered by chance this nice location. Very good food, we'll presented and at the right price. Local products (meat, truffles, but also fish) combined with a modern cuisine. Good choice of wines, expecially local ones (we personally tasted a local grape that was very interesting). If you are in the neighborhoods or passing by this restaurant worths absolutely a visit! A special thanks to the host who admitted us even if we arrived after opening lunch hours with no notice.

05/10/2025: Exceptional pizza. Small but intimate place. It's not my first time dining here, but last night was the last. I booked a table, and right after dinner we ordered another glass to chat and drink our wine, but the owner sent the waiter to tell us to pay and leave immediately because there were other people waiting outside. I've never seen anything like it. They're only open for money, a shift-based eatery. No customer service whatsoever. Rudeness is out of this world, we quickly drank our wine and ran away.

10/12/2025: I was a guest of friends, and they took me to this restaurant for the second time.
I have to say the quality of the food is excellent.
I ordered a smaller Perla Nera appetizer because otherwise I can't eat anything else, and I have to say I really enjoyed it.
The next dish was amberjack au gratin with potatoes cut not the way we do them, but round and thin—strange but delicious.
One of my friends had a huge fish platter, which made your mouth water just looking at it.
I didn't eat anything else, but there's a wide selection of fish, and my friends ate a lot.
The place is welcoming. Since we went out of season, it was nice and not crowded and not crowded, but I think it's difficult to find a table in high season.
28/09/2025: Excellent dishes, great service, quiet place. Probably the best restaurant in S. Caterina. I recommend to try local fish. But the swordfish is the best I have ever had.

The staff were incredibly kind, the food was excellent, the ingredients were top-quality, and the portions were generous.
Everything was perfect!
If you're in the area, try this trattoria with your eyes closed. It's like eating at your grandmother's or at home, and the REAL Calabrian dishes. My compliments, because they are fantastic in every way!
11/09/2025: If you're in the area and want to eat REAL Calabrian cuisine, come to this trattoria. It's a special experience, as a true Calabrian tells you. Be wary of other places; the dishes aren't typical, but VERY TYPICAL!! The welcome and the raw ingredients are worthy of the name "CALABRIA." My compliments to everyone for the service and the dishes; I felt like I was eating the same dishes at home. May God bless these places again, because they are the soul of this beautiful region. Definitely worth a try; you won't regret it. Generous portions and EXCELLENT prices. Congratulations again, from the bottom of my heart.

The location and the setting are beautiful, as are the staff. The dishes are homemade and well-matched. The flavors are bold, as you'd expect from Calabria. The house red wine is honest and bold. I can't give it a fifth star unless it takes a reasonable amount of time. Congratulations!
