02/06/2025: A weekend in Praia and I had the pleasure and fortune of dining at Regina RealiNel Gusto di Pierluigi and I can say that it was one of the best gastronomic experiences of recent years! The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, the menu is a perfect balance between tradition and creativity. Impeccable service and Pierluigi TOP! More than fair value for money, considering the ingredients, the care in preparation and the overall experience. Highly recommended!!!

13/07/2025: We had dinner here last night. I'll start by saying we were late because, unfortunately, finding parking and the traffic were impossible, but we still let the restaurant know. The staff was extremely kind, and the waiters were always nice and polite. Unfortunately, we were dissatisfied with the food. The ALICE appetizer was different from the menu description and definitely not worth the price. Instead of king prawns, there was a shrimp, and the anchovies were fried, not marinated, and you couldn't even see them on the plate. A miserable dish. In short, a real joke, especially after seeing other customer photos here in the reviews. The pasta arrived dry and cold. There wasn't even a hint of the prawn bisque. It was very white and unseasoned. They'd obviously run out of seasoning, but it was enough to mention it. I'd been to this restaurant years ago, but I think management has changed. I hope last night was a fluke, but if you don't have any ingredients, I recommend letting the table know, as it feels like a joke. Since we work in the industry ourselves, we understand certain situations very well, but as a paying customer, it's not pleasant. I reiterate the kindness of the guys and girls at the cash register, who apologized profusely for serving us so late, and regardless, they were always very kind and attentive.

26/01/2025: A pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. We stopped for lunch and were hosted by Cecilia, alias Lucrezia and her daughter Rafeal. The food was absolutely delicious. Don't miss this place in Diamante. If you don't eat here, you're missing out.

20/07/2025: We came for dinner tonight. The food was divine, and the service was impeccable. Kudos to the owners and the friendly, helpful waiters who catered to our every request. Excellent value for money! I recommend it and will definitely be back.

18/07/2025: The prices are out of this world. We paid €8 for a small cappuccino, macchiato, and Coca-Cola! The location is a big plus. There's not much atmosphere here. We simply didn't see any umbrellas or tables inside. I can understand the price considering the artifacts, but oh well.

27/06/2025: Dining on the terrace of the “De Angelis” restaurant while admiring the sunset of Scilla is pure magic. Quality fish, expertly cooked respecting the raw materials and traditions. Both the raw appetizers and the “De Angelis” appetizer with various tastings were excellent, we ate the pasta “alla sveglia” and the fried food…. Top!!! The friendliness of Diego, the owner, is free. No problem for dogs in tow… we were with two dachshunds. I recommend it without reservations, we will definitely be back.

24/06/2025: We visited Scillia 2 years ago and had a wonderful meal here. We're here again and were not disappointed. The food amazing as were the staff and a great view unto the Mediterranean Sea.

22/06/2025: A pleasant surprise!! Waiting for our flight near the airport of Reggio Calabria we discovered this pastry shop, bar, fantastic ... We had an aperitif with honors, we had the spritz with cutting board all really delicious, if you are in the area and have to wait for the flight I recommend this place Thanks to all the girls on the staff, greetings to the bartender who makes top spritzes

11/07/2025: We had one of the best sandwiches ever! Made with authentic, top-quality ingredients, all homemade and also available for purchase. The kindness and passion of the people who work there make it even more special. From now on, it will be a regular stop every time we're in the area. We recommend it 100%, you won't regret it! 🥰

04/07/2025: We were very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and good service. The waiter asked us to share two different secondos and serve each of them on a plate. The primo with fish and the secondo (freshly caught fish of the day) were subtly seasoned and absolutely delicious. In fact, it was the best, finest, and most authentic fish meal we've had in 12 days in Calabria. Even the house wine stood out. We can only warmly recommend it to everyone and hope the good quality doesn't suffer from the increased tourism in the coming weeks.

05/05/2025: I went to this tavern for Easter lunch. The place is very rustic and not entirely comfortable but the food is quality. I must say that the various dishes I tasted, although simple, were of a good standard, tasty and well cooked. Some discordances on the desserts and on the service which had some errors. Overall I am satisfied. To try outside the holidays

01/07/2025: You mainly go to Villa San Giovanni to embark for Sicily, but you could, indeed you should, also go to enjoy the seafood cuisine of the Vecchio Porto restaurant. Elegant and comfortable environment, impeccable and very professional service. Gourmet menu respectful of the place and interesting wine list. Spectacular swordfish crudités.

25/06/2025: Spacious and comfortable structure. Kind, courteous and helpful staff. The cuisine is excellent and offers many delicious dishes. Their strong point is undoubtedly the pizza: light, tasty, digestible. The dough is well studied and manages to delight the palate blissfully. It is a pizza that is truly worth it and, once you try it, you will not be able to do without it! The dedication, commitment and professionalism that give life to this masterpiece are evident. Don't miss the opportunity to go to San Giorgio, you will definitely return! I recommend, don't forget to try the mini bun with pulled pork and the exceptional croquette of the chef!

18/06/2025: We are regular customers but who knows why I hadn't reviewed this little gem yet: probably because it doesn't need it, with numerous flattering 5-star reviews. Roberto (the owner) is an excellent host, polite, professional. The staff as a whole is young, responsive, kind and competent. But this is not to give grades to the staff, it is to invite you to come and eat here. Many times we have chosen tasty fish dishes, but the pizza is truly incredible. Incredible because it almost seems strange that a Hotel that is also a Restaurant, in the end is one of the best pizzerias (calling it gourmet is an understatement) in the area, between Praja San Nicola and Scalea. I'm not kidding. This time we tried a Gorizia and a Purple, which to call delicious is an understatement. As a Campanian I almost hate to admit that the master pizza chef of San Giorgio would make many of my fellow citizens pale in front of the oven. The wine selection on the menu is excellent and the staff (Roberto himself) is always ready to suggest perfect pairings. With our pizzas we paired two glasses of Balhoo, a sparkling white from a local winery. The quality of the food and the level of service would be a reason alone to get in the car, take the highway and make yourself comfortable. But there is also the large parking lot, the enormous internal room, the bar (remaining in a 70s style) and the external patio that add value to this place. I can't say anything about the rooms because for us it has always been exclusively a gastronomic destination. Highly highly highly recommended: truly a point of reference.

24/06/2025: Nice beachfront restaurant, beautiful view, very friendly owner. Although open 24 hours, the kitchen has very limited hours. So we only had a drink. My wife wanted to use the restroom, but then decided against it for hygiene reasons.

07/06/2025: I think this is "my place in the heart"! It is a farm, very well organized, here you find relaxation, familiarity and good food. I come back here every year with my family to be pampered. Their meatballs with fennel stick are unforgettable like many other dishes.
