20/04/2025: A really nice little restaurant, we ate really well... We decided to have some appetizers such as fried pizzas, potatoes with bacon, aubergine and meat balls, mixed fried food... and finally pizzas of various truly exceptional flavours. Fair price

13/05/2025: We just ate at their place, it was delicious! Red shrimp tartare then teriyaki tuna, it was fabulous. Great service, well-received, polite, well-located, nice terrace, and having tried a few restaurants in the city, this is the first one that is really good. And good wine selection!

18/05/2025: Posto incantevole e molto romantico. Ci ë stato consigliato dal signore che ci ospita. Non avevo prenotato ed era tutto pieno. Il signore che prende le prenotazioni ci ha chiesto di tornare in 20 minuti. Ci hanno dato il tavolo e ci siamo subito sentiti coccolati. I due ragazzi argentini che servono, sono molto gentili e competenti. Il menù è molto bello e vario. Tanti piatti, che per noi erano una novità. Tutto estremamente buono , di grande qualità e prezzi adeguati. Complimenti a tutti e tre camerieri e naturalmente un grande elogio alla cucina,. Avete reso il nostro anniversario una serata speciale. :) …non dimenticare: il bacio.

18/05/2025: This is indeed a gem, exactly as somebody suggested in another review. Given the neighborhood (pretty normal, no landmarks around, not a high traffic street) you would definitely not expect such high quality cuisine. The taste of that incredible pasta will stay with me forever, linked to the amazing memories of Calabria. Grazie!

05/05/2025: We stayed at the San Nicola tavern during our tour of the parks cycle route. Mario, the owner, welcoming, kind and helpful. Pizza San Nicola very good but above all the pork. Highly recommended!

A cuisine that uses top-quality ingredients, respecting them in the processing. The owners are fantastic people and all the staff is kind and friendly. In addition to offering a typical, well-prepared cuisine, they offer a fantastic pizza. I am sure that you will leave super satisfied no matter what you eat. Highly recommended!

18/05/2025: The owners of the restaurant are great people and there is a great friendly atmosphere in the place. As for the food, their local pizza was delicious and as for something to drink... I can recommend the white wine.

20/05/2025: We were disappointed after reading the positive reviews. The greeting was not friendly, we were sat on a small table in the corner both looking at a wall. The rest of the restaurant was virtually empty but set out with larger tables. Service was unprofessional and surly. There was no explanation of the menu, and we were asked did we want the pizzeria or restaurant menu - why did we have to choose one or the other? The decor is very hard and brightly lit. The sound is echoing and we heard every word of a conversation at the other side of the room. The staff are unfriendly and don’t smile. My crab pasta was full of whole small crabs, which were inedible. My partner enjoyed his mussels and clams. Overall there was little atmosphere, the staff in the kitchen paid no notice to the customers, they were watching a screen on the pass, and let two young inexperienced individuals struggle. The food was not enjoyable. I told the waiter I wasn’t enjoying it but he just shrugged and walked away. The owners need to consider the customer experience from greeting, ambience, service and food. Edit: The rant below from the owner demonstrates how willing he is to take on feedback. Restaurants are facing tough times and need to take on feedback from customers, not berate them publicly for taking the time to make useful comments. Never mind, there are plenty of lovely restaurants in Tropea.

20/05/2025: I ordered the catch of the day, and it was just as good as I hoped—fresh and full of flavor. The staff were super friendly and made the experience even better. The only thing missing was some background music to set the mood. Otherwise, everything was spot on!

25/05/2025: Locale bellissimo, Ho festeggiato la comunione di mio figlio, Pesti abbondanti e molto gustosi con tanta varietà di antipasti di primi e di carne, adatto anche per celiaci noi tra amici e parenti ne avevamo 6 e sono rimasti molto soddisfatti, proprietario molto cortese e prezzi accessibili. Io torneró sicuramente. Grazie di tutto!!

20/05/2025: I chose to come to this restaurant because I missed Brazilian food (I was in Brazil in 2019) and I must say it did not disappoint. While I was eating, many good memories of my stay there came back to my mind. The food was all good, plentiful, tasty. The staff was very kind and the price was normal, absolutely adequate for the quality and quantity. I will definitely be back!

15/03/2025: After a visit to Morano Calabro, together with friends and relatives, we chose this Braceria, upon reservation. Typical dishes with zero km products. Both the first and second courses of meat are good, the desserts are excellent. Local wine, which was recommended to us, was a pleasure to drink. Nice place, very nice outdoor space, shame about the light breeze! Friendly and professional staff.

10/04/2025: A lovely and very cosy place to enjoy best pizza in the area! We’ve been greeted and served by Laura, a very warm welcome and looked after throughout, seated by the fire place (cold April evening). We’ve asked for their recommendation on starters of something local, a mix of fried selection of meat, absolutely delicious! The pizza was tops, especially the veg one, Ortolana - for someone who is a meat eater, I am surprised of how tasty and delicious this was. We will definitely pop in again on our next visit from London, probably in the summer - noticed their lovely outdoor terrace, covered by some vines, just imagine being there on a summer evening!
