This spot is truly exceptional! 💯 I had a lovely dinner with my two daughters, aged 4 and 7, and the experience was fantastic. A day at the beach and a dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. Two friends recommended this restaurant to us. The welcome was superb, the owner was very friendly and courteous, the dishes were well-presented, high-quality, and the wait was short. At the end of the dinner, a surprise candle on the cake accompanied by music. Highly recommended.

On the way back, it's lunchtime, and a certain hunger is building. So we decide to find a place to satisfy our cravings, but off the beaten tourist track. Among the various options, "La Nicchia Osteria" stands out, nestled in the Borgo Autentico (Authentic Village) of Roseto Capo Spulico. Our choice was made. We booked and arrived. The outdoor tables offer a panoramic view, allowing us to admire the sea from above. The welcome is kind and attentive. We decide to get straight to the point with two first courses: tagliolini del marinaio (seafood noodles) with squid ink, oil, garlic, cuttlefish, and a hint of chili pepper; and potato gnocchi with red mullet, cherry tomatoes, caper berries, and a julienned leek garnish. Both were delicious, so much so that we decided to mop up the dish with the delicious bread. Next up, a baked catch of the day with a side of mixed salad, caper flowers, and caramelized onion. Excellent value. To round off the meal, we enjoyed two glasses of wine from the Iuzzolini winery (whose products we'd already enjoyed on other occasions): a rosé (Lumare, made from Gaglioppo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes) and a white (Prima Fila, a blend of Chardonnay and Greco Bianco grapes). A place definitely worth keeping in mind for a break of pure culinary delight.

Truly delicious food, quality ingredients, and fast, friendly service. The atmosphere is refined and the price-quality ratio is excellent. I'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We are a couple from Altamura and chose La Nicchia to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We couldn't have made a better choice. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great warmth by Alessandra, the owner, and her assistant: both extremely kind, smiling, and attentive to every detail. They made us feel truly pampered, helping to make this evening even more special. Our table was in a panoramic position, with a truly evocative view that made the atmosphere even more romantic. Furthermore, in the center of the terrace is a magnificent tree that creates a truly unique corner: dining under its branches, with that view, must be a simply wonderful experience. The cuisine was excellent. We sampled the gourmet cuttlefish tagliatelle, a refined dish with an extraordinary flavor, prepared with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Each course was prepared with passion and presented impeccably. Also noteworthy is the excellent value: the quality of the ingredients, the attention to detail, the service, and the atmosphere made the bill absolutely reasonable and even exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect way to celebrate such a significant milestone for us. We will definitely return and happily recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality culinary experience, accompanied by a truly unique hospitality. Very friendly, welcoming, and attentive staff. Quiet location with a beautiful view. A unique location... inside the beautiful, authentic village of Roseto, but with a breathtaking view of the sea that looks like a painting... It's simply a spectacle that gives you peace and serenity! The restaurant is well-kept, clean, and has an intimate, family atmosphere! The staff are all kind and helpful, and the owners are friendly and welcoming! And then, guys... there's the food! I don't know how to describe it... it's an experience; eating isn't easy! A feast for the eyes and a feast for the palate! At a more than fair price for the quality and the Chef's excellent expertise! Congratulations to all the staff, keep up the good work... We had the great pleasure of being invited to this wonderful osteria for a 90th birthday party, and we were completely thrilled. The celebration featured a rich, carefully prepared fish menu. However, my daughter and I don't eat fish—a fact the chef didn't know in advance. And that's where the true grandeur of this place shined: instead of overwhelming us, the host responded immediately with great attention, flexibility, and friendliness. Without hesitation, the kitchen created wonderful alternatives for us. We were treated to delicious appetizers, fresh, flavorful, and varied. This was followed by an exquisite pasta dish with fresh vegetables and tender strips of meat, perfectly balanced and prepared with authentic Italian style. To top it all off, we also received an excellent meat dish as a main course, truly impressive in every way. We would particularly like to highlight the staff's extreme kindness and attentiveness. Our every wish was practically anticipated—the service was truly friendly and professional. The osteria also enjoys a splendid location in the historic center of town, offering breathtaking views of the village, the surrounding hills, and the sea—a setting that makes the experience even more special. So thrilled by the excellent food and atmosphere that we returned a second time and ordered à la carte—another true pleasure, prepared with great care for both the palate and the eye. We will definitely return and can highly recommend this osteria—a place where hospitality and quality truly shine!
