07/06/2024: Sunday 2 June 2024, I had lunch in this restaurant, I can't complain about the menu, but the prices are high, that is, a 1/2 liter of house wine 12 euros 3 people with 3 starters 2 first courses 1 second course of meat a bottle of tap water 3 bitters 9 euros cover charge 120 euros you do it....

19/02/2024: Definitely positive first experience: excellent welcome with nduja and fried sfuzietti included in the cover charge. Very good. High level appetizer, tasty first courses, the mpacchiuse potatoes among the best I have ever eaten. Porcini mushrooms made into cutlets are delicious. Impeccable service. 20/08/2024: The restaurant is nothing special! The owner should be ashamed that the "service" of bringing food to the table is 2.5 euros per person - why is it generally charged? The waiters are full of themselves and take the plate in front of the guest as soon as he puts the last bite in his mouth, which is very unprofessional and creates the impression that the guest has to leave The pasta with n'duja is so hot that you can't even eat it normally, and the portions are too small for the price they offer. I'm sure there are better restaurants, but paying 90 euros for 1.5 L of domestic wine and three pastas is absurd.

31/07/2024: Posto molto carino, si mangia decisamente bene ed i proprietari sono stati disponibili e gentilissimi: ci hanno fatto il favore di aprire il locale in orario di chiusura dato che eravamo arrivati in ritardo a Tropea!

15/08/2024: After (and for) 35 years, the same surreal scene is incredibly still there. An endless queue of customers and the owner/pizza chef/cashier/entertainer and factotum has a large team of helpers... Who, however, are strictly forbidden to help! They are forced to sit still and watch the boss 'operate'. He does everything, including nice chats at the register when paying, but yes, let's take it easy when you have customers who have been waiting 40 minutes for a piece of pizza. At least it was good, and instead in a place with a squalid atmosphere, for a mediocre pizza, where the doubt arises that they don't even know what HACCP is, every euro is wasted. Better to feed on air. Avoid at all costs

26/05/2024: We ask for a lumberjack and a daisy with a bottle of mineral water. After a while the waiter returns and informs us that in the boscaiola he doesn't have porcini mushrooms but champignons... (we opt for one with grilled vegetables) and that he doesn't have basil for the margherita. The bottle of water came from Tuscany (I asked to change it with Calabrian mineral water but they didn't have any)... the pizza was without praise or infamy... never mind seeing each other again.

30/08/2024: Dinner with 17 friends. I read negative reviews about the smell outside, I think it's normal if you go to a farm with animals nearby, just dine inside. Starters of cured meats, cheeses and very good hot dishes with generous portions. Pizza in the norm. Staff very kind and helpful to all our requests despite arriving at 10pm. After the bad experience we had a few kilometers away, without mentioning any names, Locanda della Oak, at the same price (30 euros per person including drinks) we mainly ate without going without food, we also received ice cream, bitters and coffee.

20/08/2024: Having lunch or dinner with the stench of animal excrement, flies and endless midges is not the best. If we then consider that the service is quite poor. Some say that here there is real Calabrian home cooking. Well, I've been coming to Calabria for over 20 years and honestly I put the Staccionata towards the end in the ranking, because I've tried real Calabrian home cooking in completely different places. I have come here a few times, even if against my will. But after the last time, never again. I strongly advise against it.

31/07/2024: Abbiamo potuto assaporare piatti di una cucina eccellente e raffinata in un ambiente elegante e suggestivo in riva al mare. Servizio efficiente e cordiale, soprattutto va un ringraziamento sentito ad Enzo per la sua competenza e gli ottimi consigli che ci ha dato per la scelta dei piatti. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliatissimo.

31/07/2024: Abbiamo deciso di scegliere questo ristorante basandoci sulle recensioni positive, invece è stata una grande delusione, soldi buttati, tutto insipido, mai più, mi chiedo se il cuoco assaggi le pietanze

14/07/2024: Abbiamo cenato in questo piccolo lido a poca distanza da Capo Vaticano, nei pressi di Tropea. Su prenotazione ci hanno servito un’ottima zuppa di pesce. Bravi!

16/08/2024: A few steps from Siderno station, in front of the Amelio bar (which I don't recommend), you will find this ice cream shop that also makes waffles and crêpes and then there are ice cream cakes and frozen cones. All very good.

21/07/2024: Metto una stella solamente per il servizio. Il titolare dovrebbe investire di più sul personale con formazione e professionalità, non si può mettere a servire una ragazza, con tutto rispetto che nemmeno parla… tanto che ho fatto fatica a capire quanto dovevo pagare, oltretutto neanche in grado di dare il resto. Parlo della ragazza bionda! Una lumaca è più veloce di lei nel servire un cliente. L unica cosa positiva è che il gelato è sempre ottimo!
