12/05/2026: At 10:30 in the morning, the pastries were gone. The coffee was good, the service was fast, and the staff were friendly and smiling. The location in the square was great.
08/03/2026: I've been there a few times and would have liked to go back but every evening I call they say they close early because they have to go out, embarrassing as it is if there is a time written that is actually they always close very early, this evening I had booked and they called me back saying it was no longer available I asked the reason and they replied "we close early because we go out" it is not a professional service at all.

22/04/2026: The welcome was nonexistent and the service was completely improvised. We waited 45 minutes for our menus, and when they finally arrived, they were completely cold. The quality of the food also left much to be desired. Overall, a negative experience.
13/04/2026: Unfortunately, I can't give a positive review. The appetizers we ordered were good, including octopus salad with potatoes and the two mussels available. The paccheri with red prawns were awful; the pasta was rubbery and cold, the prawns were raw, and some were acidic. They seemed recycled and mixed in with the pasta. The plates used smelled of stale fish and looked poorly washed. Six of us ordered the same first course to speed up service, but we still had to wait over 45 minutes. The service was chaotic and poorly organized, but despite this, the waiters were kind. Basically, we only ate the appetizers, left the first courses, and went away to have lunch with an ice cream at the nearby ice cream shop. We mentioned the situation at checkout, but an employee was present and didn't know what to say. A word of advice: attention should be given to all customers, not just those we know or love. The best advertising is a customer who leaves satisfied and speaks highly of the place in every way.

17/12/2025: A modern restaurant with simple, clean lines and a very clean and pleasant view. The pizza was excellent, and the staff were delightful. A special thanks to the younger woman who served us, a truly charming person.

12/09/2025: We went for dinner two nights in a row. The first night, we ordered two pizzas. The second night, we ordered a plate of seafood pasta, which was good, and a plate of tagliatelle with mushrooms, which I wasn't happy with because, upon eating it, I immediately realized it was frozen food from the "quattro salti in padella" brand. If this is the treatment, I don't think we'll be back.
07/08/2025: Although the food was good, the owner and staff were an absolute disaster. I ordered a meal and one drink – a 1-liter bottle of cola. The waiter brought a smaller one, so I pointed it out, and he exchanged it for the one I had ordered. But when it came time to pay, I discovered that the bill was too high. I went to the staff to ask them to correct the mistake, but no one spoke English. I tried to communicate using a translator on my phone, but the owner completely ignored it.
He said the cola had been ordered and opened (by the waiter), so I had to pay for it. I tried to explain that it wasn’t fair, but he didn’t listen to me at all. In the end, he rudely told me that since I was in Italy, I should speak Italian, not English. In my opinion, this was totally inappropriate, and the owner was very aggressive – he made rude gestures and spoke to us in a disrespectful way.
One thing is certain – I will never go back there again

08/09/2025: The location is lovely, offering a beautiful view of the Tropea sea. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful young man, but unfortunately, the man taking our orders arrived as soon as we were seated, rushing us, making it impossible to choose our dishes. He was also quite annoyed.
Despite everything, we ate reasonably well, except for the first course, which, strangely, arrived less than five minutes later, so we assumed it was already ready.
The tuna steak with onion was good, but I would pay more attention to the plating.
03/09/2025: I'll be brief because I almost never leave negative reviews, but I didn't feel like a tourist here, so I had to warn you. As soon as we arrived, they told us the starters weren't available.
We asked for the tuna steak to be cooked more, which was brought without asking us how cooked it was. They said no because they had already closed the kitchen. 3 PM? Maybe 3:30 PM max? I asked to charge my phone and was told, "Madam, we're about to close, remember to take it back." So, a 5-minute charge was a blessing. Then they hadn't even asked for coffee yet, and the cashier lady, as she passed by, asked me to settle the bill because they were closing the counter. 😐 Well, now tell me, in a seaside place like Tropea, should tourists be served like this? I gave it 3 stars only for the view and the food, otherwise I would have given it 1 or 2 stars at most.

08/06/2026: A terrible experience, definitely not to be repeated!
I returned to this restaurant after a previous experience that hadn't convinced me, but this time the situation was even worse.
The first thing that struck me was the complete lack of privacy. For much of the lunch, the owner, Peppe, sat just a few meters from our table, constantly listening and following our conversations. We were there for a business lunch and felt uncomfortable the entire time, unable to speak freely, behavior I found unprofessional and decidedly inappropriate.
Added to this was a very serious problem: the heat inside the restaurant was literally scorching. The air conditioning was on, but the doors and windows were wide open. When I pointed this out to Peppe, he told me that if they turned everything off, the air conditioning wouldn't be enough to cool the place... translated: the air conditioning system is completely inadequate for the structure.
We spent the entire lunch sweating like we were in a sauna, so uncomfortable we couldn't wait to get out.
As for the food, it wasn't anything memorable; I'd dare say it was adequate, not terrible, but certainly not up to the sky-high prices.
Small portions and average to poor quality. We ordered three appetizers to share, two first courses and two second courses, a dessert, and two limoncellos. No lobster, no champagne, just still and sparkling water. No particularly elaborate dishes.
The final bill? Insane: €170 for four people who ate for two people, a sum I consider completely disproportionate for what we ate, the quality offered, and especially the level of service received.
In conclusion: unbearably hot, no privacy, a very disappointing value for money, and an overall experience I absolutely wouldn't recommend to anyone.
If you're wondering where to go for lunch or dinner in the area, my advice is to look elsewhere. There are many other restaurants in the area that offer better quality and much more affordable prices.
As far as I'm concerned, this was the second and last chance we gave Peppone; they'll certainly NEVER see us again!
Payment was made digitally, via POS, but without issuing a receipt.
07/06/2026: Nice restaurant with a sea view. Good appetizer, a single dish with eight different small seafood appetizers. Linguine allo scoglio was average, rich in sauce, but not particularly flavorful. Air conditioning off. The waiter was sitting three chairs behind us, watching and eavesdropping. The bill was very high. Never again.

20/12/2025: Had lunch today with my wife, the place was empty, 2 appetizers, a first course, 2 second courses, a bowl of rice, 1/2 a glass of white wine, 1/2 a bottle of water, 2 coffees; 2 covers 57 euros. Good and plentiful food, good service but high prices.

04/01/2026: I would have liked to savor the delicacies of the place, but I couldn't resist the constraint imposed by the manager's policy of taking orders in "chronological order" at the tables. Therefore, having noticed other customers near me still waiting for the so-called "chronological order", I decided to "chronologically" leave. I got the impression, only after reading other reviews, that this thing happens "chronologically," and among other things, despite having politely asked approximately how long this "chronological order" might affect and whether there was another "chronological order" to be respected after the order, the response of a waiter, I must say very polite and kind when he heard you, was the following: "chronological order," chronological order," chronological order," chronological order," and so on... At that point, having no certainty about the wait times, nor even a predictable response, as I said, I left, and for this reason I wanted to apologize for not saying hello to the waiter, but I was afraid that if I called him again to say hello, he would repeat "chronological order" again.
I said to myself, "This is going to piss me off," so I didn't have the heart to do it... 🙏😂

01/09/2025: It's a shame to have to confirm, in one place, both triumph and fall, good and evil.
On the one hand, I can only praise what still lingers on the palate: the softness of the filled leavened pastry, enveloped in a delicate yet flavorful custard, vanished in a flash, a victim of my unstoppable greed. Nor can I remain silent about the almond pastry, which, though I'd never loved it, in this case won me over to the point of igniting a secret and unexpected love.
But on the other hand, alas, not the taste but the tone. The attitude of the person manning the counter seemed to tell us that our very existence was a nuisance: few smiles, little cordiality, and that subtle aura of impatience that ill-suits those who live on diners and vacationers.
Let me be clear: I'm not asking you to sacrifice quality on the altar of service: the art of baking is too precious. But at least the humble gesture of a smile, a kind word, the knowledge that here aren't just customers, but souls seeking refreshment and memories of the sea.
And so, while the custard still dances in my memories, the bitter thought remains that here, sugar abounds in every dessert, but it's not enough to sweeten the soul of those behind the counter.
