23/05/2025: Terrible food. The octopus salad was horrible, so we rejected it and they did not charge it in the end. The fried calamari and shrimps were oily. The fried potatoes were ok. Stay away!

12/05/2025: Zwaardvisbruchetta beneden alle peil. 5 stukjes dunne toast met een smakeloos prutje pasta en in totaal 3 stukjes zwaardvis (op 5 toast). Zeer slechte bruchetta en belachelijk duur voor 10 euro! Uitzicht wel prachtig en relaxte muziek.

27/09/2025: We dined outdoors in a very welcoming setting, amidst decorative lights and well-kept trees. Everything was very clean and tidy; the staff was helpful, professional, and attentive to customer requests; very fast service. The mixed fried appetizer was good, but could be improved; the pizza (4 different ones) was well-leavened with excellent quality ingredients; the dessert: tiramisu and caramel cheesecake were truly delicious. The yeast-raised weizen beer was very good. The price was fair. A beautiful and relaxing evening, worth repeating!!!

03/09/2025: The setting was really beautiful, with trees and lights. Being outdoors, despite the crowds, it was very quiet, which I appreciated. We ordered three pizzas to share, and each one was better than the last. I recommend the one with zucchini cream. We also ordered a mixed fried food, which was good, but I would have made it a little larger. The prices were fair! I recommend it.

07/02/2026: terrible, this staff does not perform or rather cannot have time limits in the table service for sandwiches, taking an inaccessible time of more than 1 hour and 30 minutes, I have no words

06/01/2026: I find it very difficult to review this experience. As for the food, there's nothing to complain about; the sandwiches and pinsas were good, definitely 5-star. As for the service, unfortunately, I have to complain about a serious lack. Why only 2 stars: we ordered 1 potato, 2 pinsas, and 4 sandwiches. After a 15-minute wait, the potatoes arrived, and then nothing. The first sandwich arrived half an hour later, and the next ones arrived 15-20 minutes later. Basically, when the first of us had finished his dish, the last one was supposed to start. Given the current situation, we carefully avoided ordering anything else. What left me most perplexed was the feeling that if you're friends with one of the waiters or the owner, you get served first and better. Otherwise, I can't explain why two tables of young people who arrived after us, clearly friends of the waiters, were served before us. I don't even accept the excuse that the place was full. When you've been in business for over 10 years and you don't know how to handle a full place, maybe you should reconsider. The atmosphere is pleasant; the only thing I can think of is to make the stools a couple of centimeters lower. I'm looking forward to another visit this summer.

07/01/2026: Of XXL, only the name remains. The bread was mediocre and the meat was practically nonexistent. With all the ingredients available (except onion), the sandwich was practically half empty. As a longtime customer of this place, I was truly disappointed, especially considering the XXL of so many years ago.

22/08/2025: The coffee and pistachio granitas are delicious! The coffee one has a very intense flavor and is perfect for those who don't like sweet coffee—of course, they're topped with cream. They've become a local favorite. The brioches could definitely be improved.

29/12/2025: The first thing that strikes you is the warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent wine, excellent appetizers, and excellent pizza. I highly recommend this place, especially for those looking to spend an evening with family. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

29/12/2025: Calabrian to the core, even though I've lived abroad for years. I felt at home here. We were accompanied by members of this wonderful family who treated us to many local specialties. Having been here often, I can assure you that the envy of those who have written negative reviews is palpable. Believe me, these are purely subjective experiences or poor attempts to boycott a place that isn't a restaurant but a happy family ready to share their daily lives with you. Personally, I put my heart and soul into it, and in addition to returning, I recommend you visit. 07/04/2026: €10 for a plate of plain pasta and €20 for a very basic plate of gnocchi alla sorrentina. The owner and staff didn't seem to listen to us when we were ordering, as there were at least five discrepancies between what we ordered and what we received. A word of advice: check your receipt carefully, because they even charged us for things we didn't order. The owner only charges his high-spending friends, so if you don't order at least a €100 dish each, he won't even look at you.

21/03/2026: Unfortunately, my experience wasn't satisfactory: the service and food quality didn't seem to match the menu. What a shame.

12/04/2026: It's located on the main street, where unfortunately many businesses have closed over the years. Luckily, this bar has stood the test of time. The outdoor tables are set up on the street, but the problem is that you find yourself a bit surrounded by people walking between the tables, and we even had kids on scooters whizzing by happily. Not the best if you want to enjoy an aperitif with friends and maybe chat a bit. It would probably be enough to rearrange the table layout or cordon off the area to avoid rude people and disruptive guests. The aperitif isn't bad, and they offer some appetizers, although the cocktails are a bit bland. However, being in a seaside area, unfortunately, few have thought to offer some local specialties or even simple bruschetta. It would be a nice idea, overall. The staff is friendly, and prices are average for the area. If you're driving, there's free parking nearby. Not suitable for large groups, as space is limited both inside and out.
