18/06/2025: No stars for food because I didn't have any service. Told to find a seat for a beer in a glass and several times a waiter passed with no interaction for several minutes.

07/06/2025: Disastrous experience, non-existent service, wrong order, endless wait times. Avoid.

12/07/2025: The fries were disappointing overall. Many were soggy or dripping with oil. Additionally, there was very little ketchup, even though it was charged an extra €0.50 without us being informed of the surcharge beforehand. This simply wasn't justified for the price – overall, the whole thing was significantly overpriced for the quality offered. To make matters worse, I was charged €1 too much, which the seller didn't point out, even though we asked. Ultimately, we didn't like the taste of the fries so much that we threw them away. Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience.

01/06/2025: A fry shop... Not much to say, maybe just that you don't leave there with the smell of fried food on you, that Amsterdam is in Holland and they use the Belgian method for frying (the best)... Overall excellent.

04/09/2025: ...my family and I met at this place. We waited 20 minutes to order. We asked for two starters and were only offered a starter of mussels and clams. At that point, we ordered swordfish, a mixed fried fish platter, and a tomato salad that had nothing to do with salad... one chopped tomato... poor dishes for what we paid. A 1-liter bottle of water A spaghetti with tomato sauce A swordfish alla ghiotta A mixed fried fish platter A salad for 🍅 €84! I don't recommend it!

02/08/2025: Esperienza deludente carpe diem a Tropea. Il tavolo assegnato aveva una vista sgradevole sul bagno, lasciato con la porta aperta mostrando costantemente il water. L’attesa per il primo piatto ha superato i 45 minuti, senza spiegazioni convincenti. I piatti deludenti: fritto misto troppo cotto e scarso, spaghetti al riccio di mare privi di ricci e appesantiti dall’olio, spaghetti alle vongole insipidi e con molte conchiglie vuote. Unico punto positivo il vino, ma al momento del riordino ci è stato comunicato che non era più disponibile. Anche il servizio è apparso trascurato, con bicchieri da vino tutti diversi. In sintesi, gravi carenze nella gestione e nella cucina.

26/07/2025: Il ristorante pur essendo in pieno centro si trova in una piazzetta molto tranquilla. Sono stata a Tropea in vacanza per una settimana e sono stata da Carpe Diem due volte. Ho fatto subito presente le mie intolleranze al glutine e al lattosio e ho mangiato una pizza davvero buona. Gabriele molto disponibile e gentile, è stato un piacere scoprire questo posto!

13/04/2025: I'm Mexican, I was looking for something Mexican and this is not real Mexican food, it's more like the "gringa" and it looks very expensive too, so I won't go, without sauces it's not Mexico.

30/03/2025: We went to this Mexican restaurant for dinner for two. The place is very aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere is pleasant. We ordered an appetizer of nachos with tomatoes, cheese and guacamole, followed by two burritos accompanied by fries, all accompanied by two draft beers and a bottle of water. The nachos were a pleasant surprise for me: they had a thicker and more "homemade" appearance compared to the thinner and more commercial ones, and the flavor confirmed this impression. Well seasoned and tasty, they were certainly the most successful dish of the dinner. The burritos, however, left me with some doubts. I chose the one with chicken, onion and salad, while my fiancé opted for the one with vegetables and cheese. The main problem is that more than burritos, they looked like simple stuffed wraps. In fact, fundamental ingredients (which I expected) such as rice and beans, which characterize the traditional Mexican version, were missing. They look more like wraps. The taste itself wasn't bad, in fact they were good, but it didn't reflect the authenticity one would expect from such a dish. The service, however, was good: the waiter was attentive and kind, asking us several times if everything was to our liking, both during dinner and at the time of payment. Ultimately, the place is nice and the service is good, but for those looking for a truly Mexican experience it could be disappointing.

24/08/2025: Truly terrible management. The staff are just running around aimlessly (very distracted), waiting almost twenty minutes to order, then another fifteen minutes for the food to arrive. I'd like to speak up for the employees, who are most likely underpaid and consequently lacking motivation! It's a real shame that this place is undervalued but has so much potential!

24/08/2025: Non-existent service, disoriented waiters, and at least half an hour to order, plus the wait after ordering. Regardless of the number of customers, nothing changes; I won't be returning. (Hire more staff, or pay the existing ones more.)

26/08/2025: The ice cream was excellent, even if a little runny. There wasn't much room to eat at the table.

18/08/2025: I couldn't give a lower rating. Dirty, unkempt place, dirty tables, and no one to clean them. Order refilled three times, even though it was placed on a smartphone! A biblical wait, and the croissants definitely didn't live up to the hype! I'd say this place is one to avoid.

06/04/2025: Super positive experience from Basho (Fazzaris) attentive and fast service and the sushi was one of the best I've ever eaten in my life. Absolutely recommended.

18/08/2025: Terrible experience. Today I went there for a consultation regarding a pension fund release. As soon as I showed up, the consultant got annoyed because the product was tied to another post office, so I should have gone to the relevant office. Furthermore, the answers given to my questions were all imprecise and incorrect. I won't add anything else.

14/08/2025: largest post office in all of Italy, few slow and incompetent employees, they only handle 2 customers per hour

26/08/2025: Prices aren't posted, pizza is cold, prices are too high, I've never seen such a horrible place. The bill only shows the amount, not the items.

06/09/2025: I don't know how to categorize this establishment, but I can certainly say that courtesy, kindness, and professionalism are not found here. They don't even know what a Sicilian arancino is, and that's a Sicilian saying it. The service is non-existent, and the lady behind the counter doesn't appreciate those who stop to enjoy what the place has to offer. You'll have guessed that my experience wasn't a pleasant one, especially when I was asked (after paying for my drink) for an extra euro while sitting at the table just because my daughter came in to get a can and then sat next to me. I certainly don't recommend it... Never mind, but if you want a real arancina, Sicily isn't far away.

04/09/2025: A place bordering on decency, poor customer service, and rude and surly staff. Rules about seating like a Michelin-starred restaurant, plus the waiter clears your tray before you've even finished your meal. €1 to eat in, at a 5cm-wide table where four people are supposed to fit. Exorbitant prices for sandwiches pre-made who knows when, with no option to add or remove any ingredients. Terrible, let's hope it closes soon.

01/09/2025: I went to this rotisserie to get a rustico for €3.50, which was supposed to be filled with ricotta, mozzarella, and salami. It was cold, and in the end, it was all ricotta. The mozzarella might have gotten mixed up, but there wasn't even a trace of salami. It was stringy and disgusting. Never again, I threw it away. Don't go to this rotisserie. There are plenty of fast-food places upstairs that are better and cheaper. Don't go to this one. It's the second time they've given me a horrible rustico. I remembered too late, but there won't be a third time....
