21/11/2025: NIGHTMARE DINNER. Unfortunately, I can't give a detailed review because it was truly a nightmare. I walked in and my friends were already at the table. I didn't feel welcome because as soon as I opened the door, I was overwhelmed by the screams of children who were sitting at a table quite isolated and far away from us. Honestly, I wanted to leave because we couldn't talk, but the girls had already had to wait for me because I was getting off work. Ordering was a huge undertaking given the noise, but the lady was fantastic and friendly. The pizza was good and light, but I couldn't finish my meal because the moment we politely asked the kids to keep their voices down, their parents yelled horrible things at us. They called us exhausted and wished the worst on us. None of the staff intervened. We left immediately and paid the full price, no discount, no apology from anyone. Personally, I will never set foot in there again. I thank God for how it went, because it could have been a tragedy given the crowd at that table. The level of delinquency was absolutely beyond belief. This is absolutely not the place for me. It's not for families or people with health problems who want to have a fun evening. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED.

16/09/2025: I've been coming to L'Aquila D'Oro for years, and every time it feels like coming home. The cuisine is authentically homemade and exudes all the warmth and passion of the family that runs it. In the kitchen, mom Elisabetta and Giuseppe prepare wonderful dishes, bursting with flavor and tradition. In the dining room, dad Salvatore and Giovanni always welcome you with a smile and a rare warmth: the hospitality here is truly special. I recommend everyone try the tripe, one of the restaurant's most incredible specialties: flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. L'Aquila D'Oro isn't just for good food, but for an experience of family, hospitality, and authentic cuisine. A place I will always hold in my heart.

29/09/2025: The "Vecchia Guardia" restaurant clearly aspires to a luxury category, but it is light years away from understanding the fundamental needs of its guests. Our dinner experience for four on August 21, 2025, was a complete failure, especially regarding food allergies. Lack of Seriousness about "Gluten Free" We booked specifically because the website guaranteed availability for allergens, including gluten-free. Once seated, the unpleasant surprise: my wife, a celiac, was categorically denied any dish, including a simple slice of grilled meat. The only option was bottled water! This isn't "willingness to accommodate any need," but a clear example of misleading advertising aimed solely at attracting customers. Small Portions and Mediocre Quality The dishes were somewhere between meager and mediocre, with a presentation that was meant to mimic that of a "starred chef," but I'll leave you to imagine... with a quality that was, let's say, mediocre. The small quantity is unacceptable unless supported by an excellence that was totally absent here. The Bill: The Height of Negligence The highlight was the bill. Not only did they add a cover charge to my wife, who, through their negligence, was unable to eat anything, but, even more seriously, they included two dishes that were never served due to a clear oversight in the service. We had to point out the error to the waiter (who crossed out the amounts) and then again to the cashier, where the person in charge had not yet crossed out the missing side dishes, leaving the restaurant at 10:33 PM after the complaint. Disconcerting Service Finally, the service was disconcerting to say the least. The waiters and the lady kept bringing bread and other gluten-containing dishes right in front of my celiac wife. This is a total lack of care and professionalism, especially after being informed of her celiac disease. To describe the experience as "disappointing" is an understatement. It was unacceptable. I hope anyone reading this review will appreciate how carelessly this restaurant handles its promises and the basic needs of its customers.

The value for money was excellent. We absolutely recommend it! If we ever find ourselves here on vacation, we'll be back! Thank you for the quality of the food and your professionalism!

27/07/2025: Wonderful place right on the seashore... The service was great. But the food was awful: pizza with no sauce, pasta with clams without the clam sauce. A seafood appetizer that I have no words to describe how disgusting it was... We asked for some piadina bread, but they didn't serve it... We waited an hour and a half to receive our order. We were there in July on vacation and everyone had good things to say about this restaurant. Well, we'll never go back!

15/01/2026: A pizzeria/trattoria in a friendly atmosphere. Owner Giovanni and head waiter Antonio serve customers with professionalism and expertise. The local wine is good and well-priced. In addition to pizzas, the menu offers well-cooked seafood, especially the grilled and mixed fried fish. The final bill is absolutely fair.

The organization isn't the best, and above all, they should remember those who asked for lactose-free food, and that it's not enough to say, "Okay, I'll take the cheese off your top," because physical problems are the customers'. The pool was paid for even by those who didn't use it when the lady handing out bracelets said it wouldn't be included in the price. For us, 10 euros doesn't change someone's life, but for some, it does. "The pool still costs money for cleaning, lounge chairs, and the cool air." We sat on plastic chairs in the sun, but that's fine 😂 The animals are poorly kept in cages, and the pond isn't a pond. I don't recommend it to my friends, but I recommend it to my enemies.
