Very fair prices, and what's more, the friendly staff. One evening I tried the restaurant, and another evening the pizza service... What can I say? I was truly satisfied.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏

05/04/2026: A very welcoming and spacious place, with plenty of space between tables. A wide selection of appetizers (about 12 courses). Everything was delicious. The first and second courses were also excellent, as was the dessert consisting of three different sweets. Everything was top-notch. The staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate any request.

20/11/2025: Located right in the heart of Tropea's bustling old town, the restaurant's terrace is surprisingly peaceful. The menu focuses on fish, and we enjoyed a delicious sea bream baked in a salt crust. Our starter included the region's famous "Cipolla Rossa di Tropea" onions, prepared in three different varieties. The service was attentive and courteous.

26/03/2026: A nice place, spacious, clean, and bright. The waiter, perhaps the owner, was truly excellent at serving us. We were served quickly with a seafood first course, risotto with cicada, razor clams, and other ingredients. I had spaghetti with cod and cruschi peppers, topped with chili pepper and breadcrumbs, of course, very good. The second course, local sausage, wasn't exactly thrilling because Calabrian sausage has a distinctive flavor, dictated by the fennel and other herbs. But if you're passing through, it could be a great stop.
