05/01/2026: A place for old people!!! It couldn't have been worse!

15/01/2026: It's like, "Either you eat this soup or you jump into the lake." We had lunch on our way back from Christmas vacation, passing by these wonderful lakes, and there was only one first course available—basically, pasta with tomato sauce. Something like this has never happened before. The place is beautiful and comfortable, warm, with the stove on, etc. The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing, and there were very few people around. The service was excellent, but come on, at least have a couple of choices! The fries were very expensive, we spent a fortune, and the food was street food, worth it just for the romantic setting.

04/09/2025: Poor quality food!!! The sales assistant was hysterical. When I pointed out that I hadn't received the cake we'd ordered—the one I was counting on, since the rest was terrible—she sent me packing... Go somewhere else in Maratea, there are so many excellent places with decent people.

30/01/2026: I had dinner at this butcher's shop, it was truly a thief and disgusting with its meat and very high prices. I advise you not to go to this thief.

19/05/2025: Sunday lunch. Booked in advance. The place was packed beyond capacity, even blocking the wheelchair ramp. The food didn't arrive. After the appetizer, which wasn't enough for the number of people we were, we decided to leave. It was impossible to continue in that chaos and we had been at the table for almost two hours. The owner treated us terribly, very arrogant. We paid too much for the misery they brought us.

12/05/2025: It was an experience to forget. Since the restaurant was full, the staff immediately seemed very annoyed at having to be there, but apart from that, there is no menu so you eat what is told to you verbally without a price or an indication of allergens or whether it is frozen or not. After ordering, we first received the pasta with tomato sauce for the children (cold), then the appetizers in measly portions because, we discovered later, they had mixed up the table orders and so we ate (and paid) for a table of 8, but with portions for a table of 4. The worst is yet to come, in fact the second courses arrived before the first courses and despite this the meat was cold and we had to send it back because it tasted rancid, as if it had been cooked and left there. Disgusted, but still respectful and polite, we wanted to address the problem to the cashier, but avoiding unnecessary confrontations; except that the lady at the checkout started shouting, pointing at us and saying "they're waiting because they want to argue". Well dear lady, if we had wanted to argue we would have had every reason, because you don't give spoiled food to people, especially at a table with two two year old children. We (over)paid and left certain that you will never see us again because that's not how you work in a serious way, I'm sorry for other unfortunate people who, like us, will stumble upon your ineptitude.

12/10/2025: Terrible food, unpleasant smell, non-existent cleanliness, while we were eating flies landed in our faces and on the food, TOTALLY DISADVICED, I couldn't give less than one star

05/03/2026: Absurd prices, a real jeweler, I'm almost certain it's the most expensive bakery in Matera, money and food should be handled with different gloves

27/01/2026: I tried the focaccia with ham and artichokes, which was good, but too salty for my taste. The bakery, however, is well-stocked and always has a beautiful display case.

21/03/2026: We went in just for a coffe. They recommended a tradicional desert wich was quite tasty, but they dont have lactose free milk. I think 20 euros for a double espresso, a cappucino and a zeppola is quite pricy and the service was also nothing special.

26/12/2025: A horrifying place After an hour of queuing, there wasn't even a chance to go to the bathroom. The bathrooms were out of order, they said.

27/11/2025: Terrible, except for one person who saves the day. Today, November 27th, at 2:15 PM, a guy at the drive-thru, after more than 20 minutes of waiting, refused to issue the invoice for my order because it was messed up. I told him I'd leave my information and they could do it directly online, as required by law, but he said no. Besides, I was already registered.

21/11/2025: One of the worst and I was generous in giving it one star...not to mention how cold it is inside the place with the two broken and wide open doors...in November seeing people eating with their jacket hoods on their heads...everything is terrible including the rude staff.

29/10/2025: It's not newly built, but it's very well maintained and cared for. The rooms lack nothing, even a small refrigerator. The bathroom is very clean and well-stocked with soaps and other amenities. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and varied. The location is perfect for those looking for a quiet stay, but it's quite far from the town center.

22/02/2026: I was inspired by the reviews and photos I found on TheFork. I don't know, it was all a mixed bag: the appetizer for two was nothing to write home about. I'm from Basilicata, and yes, they were perhaps typical, but not overly so. The first courses were good, but again, nothing exceptional. We had the black pork ragù and cacio e crusco. So, let's say the overall rating is satisfactory. The place is small but cute and quaint. The service is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, it deserves 3 stars. Prices are average.

05/01/2026: After booking with The Fork with a 30% discount, the alleged owner didn't charge us with the app but instead added an extra charge to the bill instead of offering the discount. Terrible.
