28/10/2025: Fantastic place, the guys who work at night are great, even if we customers often aren't. If you need a seaport at all hours of the day, come here.
27/10/2025: Extremely professional and GOOD quality food and wine, including free beer. Although a few months ago, the pastry/deli was tastier.
The space needs updating. The exterior needs to be equipped with heat lamps. THE SLOT MACHINE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED!!!! Excellent gift items. Large selection of spirits over the counter. Excellent payment services for utilities and other items, including debit cards, cards, etc. Large selection of tobacco products. The restrooms are inconvenient, but always very clean. Interesting logistics.

11/10/2025: We had dinner with friends, and the meal was decent. What surprised me was the price!
The restaurant has retained its vintage style but has updated its prices to match those of the best Michelin-starred restaurants.

05/12/2025: Amazing fava beans and chicory! Creamy fava bean puree made with local fava beans. The local caciocavallo and pecorino cheeses are very good. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; they know what's in the dish and how the kitchen works. I have tons of allergies, some unusual, but they were very attentive and made sure my food didn't contain any traces of my allergies. I really liked the place, with its soft lighting and nice decor. The bathroom was clean. When I return to Matera, I'll definitely eat here again.
30/11/2025: This restaurant, carved into the rock, offers a charming atmosphere: there's not much seating, the tables are elegantly set in their simplicity, and the service is fast and high-quality! The dishes, delicious and plentiful, are beautifully presented and a pleasure to eat! They also offer a tourist menu, in our case consisting of an appetizer, first course, and second course at a reasonable price (€25 + €3 cover charge/person plus drinks).
Reservations recommended.

16/11/2025: This is my second visit, and I find it a very nice, welcoming place. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food is excellent and served with great imagination. The menu is extensive, offering a wide selection of appetizers, seafood and meat dishes, vegetarian options, and slow-cooked dishes, pinsa (a type of pasta), and sandwiches. The platters are fabulous, and the desserts are incredibly tempting.
If I really had to find a negative, it would be the restaurant's capacity, but perhaps that's also what makes it so welcoming.

08/12/2025: We had the set menu for 25 euros, nothing special, then I paid 10 euros for a slice of pandoro with a hint of cream and a coffee. It's not clear if the set menu includes a cover charge. An experience not to be repeated.
18/09/2025: A very tasty surprise for a lunch, excellent meal, friendly and efficient service, very pleasant athmosphere.

Bravi!!
30/08/2024: 2 days before we were there we met the owner on our walk. Very very friendly. When we said we didn't have a vehicle she told us we should come at 7pm instead of 8pm when they open.
We did that too and she gave us a nice place. We then ate bruschetta twice, wonderfully fresh small tomatoes with rocket and dried peppers. Then a pizza salami and a capricossa. We drank cola and shandy.
We felt good in this pizzeria today. When we paid we had €27 on the bill for everything.
At the end we wanted to say goodbye and thank you when the boss asked a man to drive us to our facility, 2.5 km away. Really great on the unlit streets, thank you Grazie. Experience the full hospitality 👍👍👍

23/08/2025: You make us ashamed of being from Matera, first of all, because it's true that Matera has become untouchable, and often unjustifiably so. Then it also makes us angry if we're the ones being ripped off. For two, we consume a small plate of carpaccio for €5, a microscopic platter of cured meats and cheeses for €10. So far, almost normal... But consuming a medium-sized rib-eye steak, because I didn't have the pleasure of seeing it being cut, of barely aged heifer, completely devoid of marbling, dry, €47... FORTY-SEVEN euros. Mineral water. Total €70. The next day I ate fish at a seaside restaurant in Puglia, a full meal for two for €75. Shame!!

15/09/2025: Passing through Maratea, we decided to stop at this little place selling traditional products. I must say I was very impressed both with the products I ate (delicious) and with the intimate atmosphere in a small piazza decorated with photos. The owner is a very honest person who lets you try his products without overcharging or being intrusive.
24/08/2025: I dreamed of a typical sandwich, perhaps with a touch of Lucanian tradition and a friendly smile.
Instead, I found a masterpiece of coldness, seasoned with rudeness and stuffed with condescendingness.
The owners? A textbook duo: zero empathy, courtesy on sale (sold out), and plenty of rudeness.
The sandwich looked like it came from a refrigerator on strike, but at least it was consistent with the atmosphere: cold, hasty, hostile.
A place like this should only be visited to test your own zen limits.
But if you prefer to eat in peace... follow your instincts and cross the street.
