01/01/2024: like the food so much…Missing Matera！

13/11/2023: The least good place we ate in Matera. Poor quality ingredients and cooked too simply.An example? Gummy bran pepper. The waitress was decidedly unwelcoming and had a brusque manner. Exaggerated prices compared to the type of cuisine and the rest of the offer of the Matesni restaurants. Background music more appropriate to a bad bar in Bogota.

28/12/2024: We arrived by chance and as it was the only open place we saw on the street we stopped. The room is very beautiful and well decorated, the view is wonderful. Being in a seaside town we decide to catch some fish. We order a seafood risotto, two mixed fried foods and two side dishes, green salad and grilled vegetables. Two mixed fried foods arrive, good but one of the two is a little low in quantity for the price of the dish (€18) just 10 salad leaves to be dressed with oil and vinegar with lots of midges inside.... The other fried one was plentiful and the grilled vegetables were ok too. The seafood risotto did not arrive... We get two coffees and go to pay. Total €56.50.....high bill for what we consumed and above all paying €11 for 2 side dishes was a bit excessive. It's a shame because the place is really in a beautiful location.

13/10/2024: I ate pizza, nothing special. Menu prices from (tourists = ATM.) Just go 20km inside to get superior prices and quality

07/10/2024: Abbiamo passato un weekend di puro relax in questo hotel immerso nel bosco, scegliendo la formula pensione completa. Pietanze ottime, ad esclusione dei primi piatti che non ci sono sembrati eccezionali. Ottimo il vino rosso della casa. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Domenico ed anche a Carmela, entrambe molto professionali e gentilissimi. Ci ritorneremo.

14/08/2024: Bar regularly open with tobacconists inside and they refuse to sell me cigarettes, even if I am an adult. They say it's closed. Not at all courteous and super rude.

08/01/2025: Informal, rustic, bordering on shabby, but if you aren't looking for an elegant environment and want to spend little, it's fine. The pizza is good: no high crust and refined combinations, the dough is thin and the toppings are very abundant. The digestibility of the dough is also good

10/12/2024: For me it feels like home. Then when the fireplace is lit it is magnificent. Maurizio is an extraordinary person, I feel good and every time I return to Melfi I never miss him once. The food is great. I love the rose appetizer. Well done.

01/12/2024: Siamo nell’agro di Montalbano Jonico, luogo lontano dal caos cittadino, perfetto per contemplare la natura in compagnia del buon cibo e dell’ottimo vino che viene prodotto in loco, proprio all’interno della struttura. Ho soggiornato per due notti nella Masseria Crocco ed ho trovato un’accoglienza molto cordiale, familiare e disponibile, persone gentilissime che mi hanno fatto sentire come a casa. L’agriturismo è di grande estensione, le camere si affacciano sulle decine di ettari di terreno coltivato a vigneto, dove ci si perde tra i filari che offrono un bel tramonto sui calanchi. La camera è di generosissime dimensioni, arredata in stile cottage inglese che si sposa perfettamente con la campagna circostante. È accessibilissima direttamente dal parcheggio, non ci sono scale né impedimenti di alcuna natura. Il ristorante è molto carino, la colazione all’italiana arricchita da biscottini e torte dal sapore casalingo come piacciono a me; il pranzo e la cena meritano per la tranquillità del posto ma soprattutto per gli squisiti piatti caserecci e la cordialità del personale e del bravissimo cuoco. Buone possibilità anche per chi è vegetariano. Alla fine ho portato con me una selezione degli ottimi vini che produce la famiglia Crocco a cui faccio i complimenti. E’ stata per me una ottima esperienza di soggiorno, e consiglio una sosta a chiunque si trovasse anche solo di passaggio. Basta telefonare alla reception per ottenere subito assistenza e disponibilità. Infine, ma non per ultimo, prezzi assolutamente giusti.

30/09/2024: Posto molto suggestivo immerso nella campagna ed i vigneti della tenuta. Posto ben curato, personale cordiale e disponibile, ottima cucina e naturalmente ottimi vini di produzione propria.

16/09/2024: The pizza and other appetizers are very good, Mrs. Rosa (owner) assisted by her daughter Sara is very kind, we recommend a visit.

06/01/2025: Excellent beer, even the ketchup and mayonnaise made by them is really good. Nice place to spend an evening in company with friends. I recommend adding some board or board games.

15/12/2024: Very low level beers, food is lower than mc donald, 2 pints of beer for 12 euro...considering you are in Matera!!! Very depressive place.

04/10/2024: La Strettola è una pizzeria dove fanno la pizza molto buona, ma per quanto riguarda i giorni di apertura è la pessima. Io e i miei amici volevamo mangiare una pizza di venerdì, vediamo su google e dice che è aperta, ma arriviamo al locale ed era chiuso e non è la prima volta che accade. Volevo solo mangiare una pizza il venerdì. Grazie.

16/10/2024: Ho pernottato presso questa struttura e sono rimasta soddisfatta. L a stanza era panoramica, un pochino lontana dal centro ma con una piacevole passeggiata si arriva in 10 minuti.

20/10/2024: Antipasti discreti ma il primo da dimenticare. Spaghetti artigianali scotti e sugo con i funghi senza alcun sapore e salsiccia e rucola non rilevata. Il secondo millefoglie di maiale con pinoli e bietola palesemente riscaldato e in malo modo.

30/12/2024: I ate for lunch yesterday. The starter of really excellent cold cuts... you could feel that they were of quality, and the second course, cod in salad, delicate and very tasty. The place is a little dated, but the welcome of the staff (family condition) and the quality of the products make this place a good alternative if you want to eat and drink well in an informal way. I will definitely come back.

23/12/2024: I honestly expected better. Chosen for a quiet evening with friends, reservation at 9 on Saturday evening. Nothing to say about the food, very good quality, but the waiting time, i.e. 2 hours counted, to receive your meal, is bordering on the absurd. I understand the difficulties that may be encountered in coordinating external orders with those of the internal restaurant, but it is not acceptable for a person to book at a specific time and leave almost 3 hours later. I don't agree (as I read in response to previous reviews) that everything can be justified with reservation orders outside the restaurant, because if you decide to offer an additional service to your customers (as in the case of this same restaurant) you have to be certain that the quality of the service itself remains constant, but in my humble opinion, it has definitely dropped. Having said this, I hope that the problems encountered can be resolved in the future because the quality of the food is really not bad, as is the classic take away service
