28/11/2025: Despite the closure they served us very well

04/11/2025: Dinner with my wife, fantastic seafood scialatielli, definitely the best I've ever had. The pizza was also excellent, while my wife had sole and, according to her, was satisfied. The house white wine was decent and well-suited to the seafood. The service was informal but not intrusive. If you arrive early or, better yet, make a reservation, you can dine on the terrace. The price was more than fair. I can't rate the hotel as I only had dinner there, but I can say that the hotel guests who were there for dinner seemed satisfied.

12/11/2025: Small but cozy place, average pizza, slightly high price, still good for a quick lunch, variety of pizzas, fried foods, etc. The only downside, if I'm not mistaken, I didn't notice, but perhaps there's no bathroom, but I could be wrong. But again, a quick lunch to do again.

23/11/2025: The gas station attendant on duty on Saturday morning was very kind and good at giving directions to the city of stones.

20/07/2025: 2 to 3 cents above the others, but the only station in the city center that accepts American Express. Not very friendly, but efficient. Since 2024, no longer accepts Amex, and prices have gone up.

01/01/2026: We went for lunch with the family. The house appetizers, strascinati mollicati, ricotta ravioli, cod, cruschi peppers... everything was delicious, highly recommended. The only problem is the location is very anonymous and the entrance is difficult to find.

23/12/2025: The setting and the presentation of the dishes are very beautiful, but the service leaves much to be desired. It took them an hour to bring the drinks and appetizers. The dish was incomplete, and when we asked for more, the waitress didn't even apologize. Furthermore, the quality-price ratio wasn't adequate. If the service had been kinder and more empathetic, I would have given it more stars. It wasn't what I expected.

23/12/2025: There were four of us for dinner, and unfortunately, the experience got off to a terrible start. After ordering our appetizers, we had to wait a full 55 minutes for them to arrive. Furthermore, the "Salmon Carpaccio with Caviar" appetizer was served with smoked salmon and no caviar. Only after we pointed this out were we told that the caviar was used "as a decoration," which we found unjustifiable, given that it was clearly indicated on the plate. The caviar was only added later. The raw seafood we ordered was also decidedly disappointing: two oysters and three prawns for €35, a quantity and quality that absolutely didn't justify the price. The only positive note was the location, which was very beautiful. Otherwise, unfortunately, the service was lacking...no apologies, no smiles, despite the poor service. And in restaurants, sometimes, the attention and attitude of the staff are as important as the food. Overall, a negative experience.

16/12/2025: Excellent, very light pizza. If you visit Matera, you must dine at this pizzeria. Besides the delicious pizza, they also serve pucce, exceptional aperitifs, and much more, even for breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the owners. Definitely worth a try.

24/03/2026: Clearly a very busy and popular local establishment - not really catering to the tourist trade - but as visitors, we really appreciated the local vibe. Our pizzas and salad were excellent, and the gentleman who served us was very kind and attentive. I'm guessing that their pastas are also great, since many other customers were ordering them. We'd absolutely go again on a future visit to Matera.

05/03/2026: Really nice restaurant, the staff was very welcoming, and the pizza was spectacular. I recommend it.

01/11/2025: Ordered two takeout pizzas and two panzerotti for 8:45 PM. The pizzas were ready after 30 minutes, but unfortunately, the panzerotti that had just come out were sold and not put aside for my order. Moral of the story: I waited another 10 minutes for the two panzerotti. Arrived home with two cold pizzas. Not even a single apology.

22/09/2025: Excellent location with a wonderful view, even at night. We went for pizza for dinner and had a truly wonderful time. We were welcomed like family and enjoyed pizzas made with quality local ingredients. The dough was also light, not at all salty, and we digested it without any difficulty. Compliments for the service and the dining room: spacious, colorful, and well-ventilated despite the heat from the oven. Highly recommended and will definitely return to try new specialties on the menu.

21/12/2025: A restaurant that stands out for the freshness of its products. I had dinner and a stay. At the restaurant, I ate very tender meat and delicious appetizers. Very clean rooms. Recommended.

28/10/2025: Today, my wife and I, already customers of Ristorante 900, wanted to have lunch and stopped in around 2:10 PM. Unfortunately, we couldn't, because we were told the kitchen was already closed, even though the restaurant was still open. We weren't even given a seat, let alone a cold dish. Eventually, we found another restaurant that welcomed us very warmly, where we were able to have a peaceful lunch. We're regulars at restaurants, but we'd never had an experience like this.

16/02/2026: A decent and affordable restaurant and pizzeria with a wide menu, perfect for families and groups with diverse tastes. It's not particularly convenient to get there.

20/11/2025: A very nice restaurant and pizzeria. A very interesting place on the gentle slope of the volcano near Melfi. Atmospheric interior with a fireplace. Very good food and friendly service. I recommend it.

14/12/2025: Nestled in the Pollino woods, Lo Chalet dei Briganti is a truly charming and welcoming place. The staff is always friendly, and the dishes are excellent and carefully prepared. It was a pleasant surprise to always find gluten-free options. Highly recommended.

03/11/2025: Surrounded by greenery, the setting is truly charming and beautiful. The service is courteous and prompt. The menu disappoints not in terms of quality but rather in terms of choice: the usual dishes are unimaginative. It's a shame: one could indulge in delicious dishes, especially this time of year. I hope this is a criticism that's accepted and that it helps the owners think again. Prices are average.

29/09/2025: We stopped at this little restaurant purely by chance during a motorcycle trip and were very satisfied! Excellent quality and friendly staff. I'd only leave the red wine at room temperature. We'll definitely be back!

20/09/2025: We went there on a Sunday evening with my family about a month ago. The location was very nice, clean, and mostly run by women. Unfortunately, it was the end of the season and we didn't choose from the menu. Perhaps it was a good thing, because they offered us a tasting of delicious local products. I highly recommend it, even if they make it themselves.

23/01/2026: The summer location is very nice, but the winter one is cold and unwelcoming. The real highlight, however, is the meat, which is delicious. I recently had a Black Angus steak that melted in my mouth. As for the prices, I have to say it's not exactly cheap...but what isn't these days?

08/12/2025: Don't be fooled by appearances; despite the somewhat dated location, the food is exquisite, authentic, and homemade. Everything is cooked to order, with succulent pasta and melt-in-your-mouth meat dishes. The owner is truly friendly, making you feel right at home.
