13/07/2025: At the Pizzalovers event in Rionero, offering a €6 pizza a portafoglio, he showed up with a 10cm diameter pizza folded in half, barely smeared with tomato sauce and no mozzarella whatsoever—a disgrace! €6 worth of plain pizza dough, enough to choke on.

12/07/2025: Staff I've known for generations but have been away for many years due to work and distance. Today, for my daughter's birthday, I brought them. They were kind, courteous, excellent prices, and the dishes were fabulous, as tradition dictates. The tripe with red onions was the best, the strascinati with turnip tops, cod, and crusco peppers were out of this world. The cod and chicken First Stock was divine. The wine and local limoncello were excellent. It's a shame about the grappa, someone changed their minds. That's fine. The parents up there, who knew dear Tuccio in particular, can be satisfied that they left their nets in the hands of good guys. See you next time.

01/08/2025: My wife and I were looking for a simple meal on a hot August day. We were attracted by the smell of focaccia and entered the bakery. At first glance, the focaccia looked like it was made the day before, so to our simple question, we received the answer: "It was freshly baked." Never were falser words spoken... but we only discovered this later, when, after a long walk, blinded by hunger, we bit into the focaccia... A piece of garbage, DE COCCIO, greasy and full of salt, it actually wasn't from the day before but from a week ago. Don't go there.

21/06/2025: Incredibly good focaccia. We liked it so much that we came back the next day. There are three versions, but we only tried the tomato one. The dough has a wonderful, crispy crust, the tomatoes are full of flavor. You absolutely have to try it. Very reasonable prices, 6-7 euros for three large pieces.

05/08/2025: Non posso che fare una recensione negativa, tavolo da sei, abbiamo ordinato io e un altra persona un antipasto, io ho preso un crostino al ragù di cinghiale molto buono il che faceva presagire una bella serata, ordinato tre tagliate più una tagliata semplice una pizza e io una tartare, dopo un pò ma con i tempi giusti sono arrivate tre tagliate e la pizza, dopo più di mezz'ora quando gli altri avevano già finito di mangiare io e mia moglie eravamo ancora in attesa, il quel momento passava la cameriera alla quale ho chiesto perché così tanto ritardo, mi ha risposto che si sarebbe informata, Dopo dieci minuti e tornata con una scusa che non ho capito, alla fine miracolo sono arrivati in nostri piatti, peccato però che la tagliata di mia moglie era un rimasuglio di carne, e la mia tartare sicuramente fatta troppo in fretta erano pezzi di carne insapore, tagliati grossolanamente e duri, e vero che la signora (sicuramente la proprietaria) si è scusata più e più volte per l'accaduto, e che chi ha stornato i piatti dal conto finale, è offerto dagli amari della zona, però io avrei preferito pagare e mangiare del buon cibo.

21/03/2025: The place is located on the outskirts of Montescaglioso but in essence, in terms of quality of the food and quality/price ratio, it is certainly central. The internal room is large and comfortable, but lacks a bit in acoustics. When it's full, you can't converse much at the table because the noise is amplified.

14/07/2025: A family welcome in Picerno We were welcomed like family. The owner, visibly moved as she told us about her sick dog, touched us deeply: a sincere moment that made us feel at home. The luganica, cured meats, and delicacies are excellent, prepared with passion and simplicity. The first course was delicious, authentic and made with care. For us, it's a top spot for family hospitality. A simple, authentic experience that will stay with us forever.

28/06/2025: I'm from the area but I didn't know the place; for a quick business lunch as usual I rely on Trip and so I did this time too. I'll start by saying that I have a minimum of knowledge, as I've been lucky enough to visit a few restaurants in Italy and abroad. The place can be reached through an alley, it's welcoming and well-kept. The staff, I think the owner, is kind. The menu is explained to us verbally, we aren't given a paper copy. Since it's a quick lunch during a work break, we don't give it much weight and order two appetizers, two first courses to share, water and 1/2 liter of house wine. Total expense with surprise ... 98 euros. Undoubtedly quality has its price, but the cost is decidedly disproportionate considering that: the place on trip is labeled with only one €; it's an osteria (without taking anything away from osterias); the cost/price ratio of the local product is decidedly high. Too bad!!!

The atmosphere is stylish and romantic, with a stunning view that makes every dinner feel special. The food was outstanding – fresh, refined, and prepared with great attention to detail. We especially appreciated the focus on local and seasonal ingredients – you can truly taste the region in every bite. The staff was extremely welcoming, attentive, and warm, which made the evening even more enjoyable. A place to remember – we will definitely be back!

23/07/2025: We had an aperitif on the terrace. Hugo, Spritz, and Prosecco accompanied by savory snacks consisting of salted peanuts, chips, and delicious green olives. Everything was delicious. Breathtaking view of Matera. Very beautiful and refreshing.

31/03/2025: HORRIBLE. Breakfast in the bar coffee...burnt at 7.00? Check the machine! Lactose-free cappuccino with milk strictly boiled in the pan where normal milk was made. Croissant served to me boiling hot so I had to take it away because at the first bite it was burning hot and was a raw/sticky mass, so I asked for a little bag and annoyed she handed it to me rudely. To pay? The cashier had to first chat with the back kitchen telling me it's urgent, I'm coming!? But is everything ok? Not at Materana. All this for €5
