02/07/2025: Really bad experience - and sounds like it’s consistent with others. All staff were just plain rude and unhelpful. We ordered two cokes and sat outside. Literally as soon as we sat down, they walked out and said they were closing. They could see we had a a baby with us and my wife was feeding her too. Why not tell us when we ordered that they were closing? Give us the option to go elsewhere. We had to down our drinks as they cleaned up around us. No ‘sorry, you’ve got 10 minutes’, or general common sense. Don’t go here until owner sorts his staff out on general etiquette.

22/05/2025: Eso fue increíble experiencia y comida. Todo el camino hasta la cima del mundo con experiencia gastronómica y placer para nuestros estómagos. Pulgares ARRIBA y pasar un buen rato T esta verdadera joya En Matera. Quien quiera pasar un buen rato y comer con un Michelin que venga a verlos. Verá que la mayoría de los clientes son locales y los turistas están disfrutando del otro paseo en montaña rusa con una ruleta rusa para ser o no ser. No es una pregunta. Gracias por una gran experiencia y bravo al Chef!

18/05/2025: Ottima esperienza in questo ristorante fuori dal circuito turistico. Se non sai dove è non lo trovi per caso. Frequentato prevalentemente da clientela abituale che viene da fuori Matera per la qualità del loro pesce. Noi abbiamo cenato due sere consecutive a base di pesce crudo e cotto. Tutto eccellente a cominciare dal pane e dalla focaccia coi pomodori di inizio pasto. Materia prima di grande qualità, cucinata molto bene e servita con attenzione. I prezzi sono allineati alla qualità senza essere eccessivi. Una nota speciale la riservo per la gentilezza, la simpatia e disponibilità dei titolari e di tutto lo staff. Ci hanno fatto sentire a casa nonostante non ci avessero mai visto prima, rendendo le nostre serate speciali.

03/07/2025: I went to this pizzeria for lunch for the first time. I immediately noticed the kindness and welcome of the staff and the quality and quantity of the pizza ingredients, which were truly excellent. Top quality/price ratio, coming from Bari I was pleasantly surprised by the bill, given that here in Puglia the prices are often unbalanced or even excessive for a pizza with the family. I will return with great pleasure.

30/06/2025: We went there on a Saturday night after booking. The place is nice and the pizza is good (even if the pizza chefs should check the cooking), but the service is decidedly poor, especially if you are greeted by a gentleman in the dining room who tends to snort when he sees you and who smiles at you ironically when you make a request. Dear sir, being a waiter is an art for few and when you reach a certain age and the passion wanes it is better to retire.

01/03/2025: Dalla Puglia in Basilicata abbiamo avuto la fortuna di capitare in questo posto immerso nel verde, Locazione accogliente, piatti elaborati con semplicità , gusto e ottimo abbinamento con il tartufo. Il tutto accompagnato dal garbo e gentilezza dei proprietari.

25/02/2025: L’ abbiamo trovati sul web ed è stata una scoperta straordinaria. Posto accogliente romantico antico, proprio come piace a me. La cameriera è stata molto gentile e professionale. La cucina perfetta, nonostante abbiamo mangiato davvero tanto siamo tornati a casa senza alcun problema di digestione. Cosa da nn prendere sotto gamba visto che spesso nei locali dopo mangiato ci si sente male. La loro è davvero una cucina di qualità lo consiglio a tutti. Un solo appunto…. Prezzi un pochino alti

31/03/2025: HORRIBLE. Breakfast in the bar coffee...burnt at 7.00? Check the machine! Lactose-free cappuccino with milk strictly boiled in the pan where normal milk was made. Croissant served to me boiling hot so I had to take it away because at the first bite it was burning hot and was a raw/sticky mass, so I asked for a little bag and annoyed she handed it to me rudely. To pay? The cashier had to first chat with the back kitchen telling me it's urgent, I'm coming!? But is everything ok? Not at Materana. All this for €5

13/05/2025: Excellent fresh fish dishes expertly prepared by Tonino. Simple but punctual service in a very basic environment. The simplicity of the place and the service leaves ample space for the food. The real reason to go to Tonino. Highly recommended

14/05/2025: I had been missing for a few years but I was amazed to find the same welcome and cordiality. Vincenzo, the owner, is always available and courteous and always puts us at ease. The restaurant is clean and well organized. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. It is a restaurant that I recommend!

25/01/2025: Locale che conosco da tempo, i proprietari sono indiscutibilmente simpatici, certamente se non sei un paranoico "lasciami stare". Panini multistrato da ricordare, tutto è edibile quindi basta dare solo le indicazioni per le preferenze o meno e si può gustare veramente un panino favola. La V^ stella manca solo per i prezzi che non sono in grado di giudicare bene. ... Non perdete occasione di fare una sosta qui. Dimenticavo quasi ... da non perdere la mescita dei gustosi cocktail 🍸 del barman 😉

18/05/2025: We stopped for breakfast. At 9 in the morning it would be nice to see a smile instead of a poor good morning. Litter on the floor from the counter and overflowing full bins. Low quality frozen croissants. The coffee is okay. Too bad! Poor value for money.

30/05/2025: Ritornare è sempre piacevole, la splendida location e l'accoglienza gradevole regalano da subito una bella atmosfera. Abbiamo scelto di pranzare a base di pesce e con stupore abbiamo trovato dei ricci di mare ottimi. Il crudo profumato e di buona qualità ha deliziato il palato. Il primo piatto linguine ai ricci di mare meritava di più, eviterei il contenitore a forma di riccio. Buona la grigliata e la frittura, a parte il pesce spada su cui credo ci sia stato del succo di limone che se pur minimo ha tolto un po' il sapore. Il dessert un ottima conclusione. Consigliatissimo

26/05/2025: Bellissima scoperta. Location molto carina, curata e pulita. Ottimo servizio con personale super gentile molto attento e bravo a consigliarti. Tempi di attesa quasi zero. Ho mangiato un antipasto, un primo e un dolce tutto buonissimo. Prezzi giusti. Lo consiglio assolutamente….
