29/10/2024: The cuisine isn't bad either, the pizza is excellent and the fish dishes are also good, with a quality that remains constant over the years and even during the season, which is by no means a given. Too bad the service, which leaves a lot to be desired, both due to slowness and lack of coordination. The choice to arrive a month before closing with such a limited wine list is a bit sad... the place was full, as the island still is... come on, order a few cartons of wine, if there's any left over you'll drink it during winter… 😑

Personale gentilissimo, un responsabile davvero simpatico che ci ha accolto con competenza e professionalità , in una location fantastica.
Abbiamo mangiato un primo molto gustoso così come la carne e i contorni buonissimi!
Anche se non torneremo nella struttura di cui fa parte, se passeremo da queste parti sicuramente verremo a mangiare qui.
Complimenti allo chef e allo staff!
Consigliato.

22/12/2023: Tonight we tried one of the oldest places in Lucca, LA CANTINA DI CARIGNANO.
The place appears warm and welcoming
the furnishings such as the piano, the beamed ceiling and the chandeliers made from wagon wheels create a style that blends between old style and country.
The staff is quick but a bit resolute.
Good food with traditional cuisine and home-made dishes.
The mise en place is good.

03/10/2023: Piccolo ristorante all'interno di un agriturismo. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto godere della vista perché siamo arrivati tardi ed era già buio. L'interno e molto piccolo ma arredato in modo originale e caratteristico.Nel ristorante si mangia cucina di terra, pochi piatti con alternative vegane tutto molto semplice. Io ho preso fagioli e salsiccia al pomodoro, molto buoni così come lo spezzatino vegetale.
01/10/2023: Cucina deludente, carta dei vini molto scarsa, dalla quale abbiamo preso un vino imbevibile che abbiamo rimandato indietro.

26/11/2024: Il posto è bello, silenzioso e con tanto verde intorno, una bella location che offre il meglio nei periodi caldi e primaverili.
La mia esperienza è stata positiva, ho organizzato una cena aziendale con 57 persone.
Lo staff è stato sempre attento, cordiale e mi ha tenuto al corrente per alcune variazioni e ad ogni richiesta c è stato riscontro positivo.
Le pietanze da noi scelte sono state molto gradevoli, porzioni giuste , buono il vino.
L' unico problema , è riconducibile all' apparecchiatura in veranda, che anche se coperta , chiusa con i teli laterali e riscaldata con apposite stufe a fungo , non ha dato scampo agli spifferi e la temperatura sotto i tavoli era troppo bassa. Questa è una critica costruttiva, può essere risolta facilmente.

24/11/2024: Normally those who read my reviews on Google or Tripadvisor would realize that I don't like to speak badly of hotels or restaurants I frequent, as I think and maintain that a mistake or a bad day can happen to anyone.
This time I am writing because I felt really cheated and that the behavior of the managers was unbecoming, having planned a trip out of town to the lands of the Langhe and Roero, we ended up in this restaurant because those we met had not booked, unfortunately they did not have the possibility of hosting us for lunch.
when we arrived at the restaurant even though it was late for lunch they welcomed us to sit down, the modest sized restaurant had a pellet stove inside at a very close distance to the table, my daughter inadvertently touched the glass of the stove while sitting on the chair his jacket got stuck due to the strong heat, burning him with the loss of goose feathers which invaded the room.
I would like to remember that there are strict regulations on the use of pellet stoves in public places and especially where there is a risk of burns (and here it was the case... to burn a jacket the temperature of the glass was over 60°C) , let's consider ourselves lucky only for the jacket being burned even if it's a €300 Kway, I wonder if it had happened to a small child who accidentally ended up against the stove what would have happened???
however, sitting down and having seen what had happened and the proximity of the stove, we had our seats changed and here is the first observation from a worker in the room and the owner.... "IN THE END THE GENTLEMEN HAD THEIR PLACES CHANGED" said with that annoyed look... we order, we ask for the card and we are told that there was a menu of a trio of appetizers, a first course, a second course, dessert and coffee.
My partner and I order an appetizer with first course and an appetizer with second course given the time and still nervous about what happened to the jacket, my daughter not being hungry is sorry for having burned "NOT HER FAULT" her jacket takes a dessert ( CHOCOLATE SALAMI ).
we are served "Let's call them that" appetizers with all the calm of 30 - 40 minutes, then my first Plin in reduction of Roast, and to my partner Roast with potatoes.
The PLINs are inedible, the reduction perhaps too small and half burnt make the dish salty and unpleasant, roasted Ditto, frozen chocolate salami and that too is inedible.
we decide to get up and go out, we go to the cash register where they tell us that the cash register is out of order and the ATM cannot be used, therefore payment in cash strictly without receipt.
Cost of a horrendous lunch 75 euros for two non-existent starters, a plate of leftover PLIN and ROAST even with half a liter of house wine.
I pay, I don't object, I go out of the room and smoke a cigarette to let the teasing cool down... I listen to the displeasure of other guests and I decide to go back in to complain "Even if it's not my habit".... I go in and I think I address one of the owners asking... ARE WE SURE OF THE ACCOUNT YOU GIVE ME? she replies I don't know, she has to ask my daughter... I ask the same question and she replies I think so... I repeat for two half menus that we left on the plates and a dessert €75 when advertised on the external notice board Menu for 28 € including dessert and coffee. Then, as if that wasn't enough, your stove, certainly not up to standard for public places, burned my daughter's €300 jacket... ABSURD ANSWER... We're sorry but it's not our fault and it's not our problem....
I go out and go away shocked.
I REMIND managers that there are strict and strict regulations on the use of these devices and especially where there is a danger of burns.
It will certainly be my concern to report what happened to the competent ASSL authorities, first and foremost through my lawyer, not for a lunch that cost almost €400 but precisely for the way you acted and the lack of respect and above all for the looming danger, this will not end like this affair.

16/07/2024: Cena con amici che non mangiano pesce. Dove andare? Mi viene in mente il T-Bone che apparentemente sembra offrire carne di qualità… Quando mai!!!! Serataccia anticipata dal fatto che sabato sera era completamente vuoto e noi eravamo i primi clienti alle 20:20. Ci sediamo nel tavolo all’aperto (locale anche carino) e cominciano i dubbi. Pane raffermo di 1/2 giorni prima, cameriere che non capivamo se ci prendeva in giro o era serio. Ci porta i menù e senza che li aprissimo ci chiede se doveva spiegarceli. Gli diciamo che gli diamo un occhio e nel caso chiediamo ma lui non se ne va. Al che al primo accenno di chirimento sui piatti di pesce ci dice “il pesce è facile è quello che c’è scritto. Se volete vi spiego la carne” vabbè…. Alla domana però su cosa ci fosse nella grigliata mista risponde secco “un po’ di tutto” rivabbè. Stà di fatto che nella grigliata non si capiva cosa ci fosse, sapori strani e sgradevoli. Piatto di pesce un filo meglio ma di sicuro non da wow (siamo in un ristorante di carne vi ricoro!). Insomma esperienza da dimenticare sicuramente da noj riprovare! EVITARE!!!
